Here's the spreadsheet for its final outing although that said, you'll see that @FinallyHere has added extra columns for anyone who wants to keep using it

I hope that all has gone well - and I notice that we have at least 2 Bootcampers who have reached/exceeded the 1 stone mark, which is fantastic!

Just because we've reached the end of the 8 weeks doesn't mean that you have to stop - or stop chatting. We'll keep this thread going for as long as people want to use it, and I'll start a new one once this one gets full.

For me (as a meat eater) a sort of natural consequence of going low-carb is that I don't want to eat UPF or even PF, tbh. But I can imagine that as a vegan that's pretty tricky!

My Mum noticed the other day! And she's so critical of appearance usually! Was an amazing compliment.

To be fair, despite drinking my own bodyweight in cordial daily, I have still dropped weight. Just wish I could see it reflected on the scales. I'm seeing my muscle tone more, my midriff is much flatter, I have a more defined waist now. I feel much better overall. But I am back on the sparkling water now!!
Yes. I'd LOVE to eat a diet (almost( free of UPFs. I love cooking and find it very easy to do that. Trouble is, salads with pulses and grains, lentil stews and soups etc might be a lot better for me, but I also get fat very quickly if I eat like that. Unless I want to eat nothing but salad and nuts/tofu, low carb means I'm a walking UPF at the moment. 🙄
I can be slim and full of additives or fat and wholesome, not both!

I'm not planning on doing another one at the moment because, frankly, I haven't got the enthusiasm or energy for it right now. It takes a lot of mental space as well as time. (And I also get rather frustrated by how few people actually participate - even if they're signed up and reading the threads, they don't join in and give back).

But it's always good to keep this thread going, and chat with people who are motivated and do participate!

@Afternoonteavirgin you could always try adding slices of lemon or lime or cucumber to your water - let the water steep for a while in the fridge, and then it will add flavour but no carbs.

I've tried the same with raspberries and strawberries too.

The fancy scales in the gym at work have been very motivating, as they track my muscles, fat and water, so I can see that while I overall am hardly really loosing, % body fat is going down and % muscles going up

It would not be a good start to the week if he woke up and saw me stark bollock naked on the Wii Fit weighing scales, which is in the living room as well. 😂😂

I do have a set of fancy scales that do that water and fat percentage, but I don't use them as they totally conflict with my Wii Fit and put me as 3-5lb heavier!! I don't think I have calibrated it right! 🙄😄

I did that, and almost choked on a pip a few days ago! UPFs are safer! 😂

I've just paid almost £12 for four (yes, FOUR) low carb tortilla wraps. I am not on a high income and am alone with a mortgage. I must be mad 😂
They're very nice though, had two for lunch with vegan feta, guac, chilli sauce,two quorn mini fillets and some salad. Felt good to eat some 'normal' food!

Are you drinking enough? You should be consuming between 2.5 and 6.5 litres per day depending on your starting weight. I often find that when I think I'm hungry, having a drink helps. I fill up a 1.5 litre bottle and aim to have a couple of those each day, plus any teas/coffee.

Also suggests that you need to up your fat and whatever source of vegan protein you use.

I drink out of 1.5 litre bottles and go through several each day so yes. I will try to get more fat-I did up my fat intake recently (last couple of days) anyway but I'll be more mindful of it. Thank you!

Totally get why you need a break from this @BIWI its a mega commitment and quite repetitive for you as we all ask the same questions. Huge thanks to @FinallyHere fir extending the chart. @MissBeck may I recommend the happy scale app too as curves the spikes and gives you dates you’ll reach goals etc. It’s free albeit there ys a paid option too.
I’ve not posted much as been in Cornwall the last week and reception hasn’t been great but I’m all caught up. I’ve had a lovely week but was naughty with chips a couple of times… or maybe just once? Trying to think! No, it was twice! but when my friends’ diet consists of sandwiches every lunch and everything with chips for dinner I think I did amazingly well to have maintained.
Im out at a friends 50th party tonight. I think it’s bbq with salads but I know the salads are a pasta one and a potato one. Im hoping for a plain green one too. 🤞🏼 Im also hoping there’s slimline softies as I’m finding wine way too calorific as I can’t just have the one! It feels a bit weird taking my own so I’m not sure how I’ll do this.

A huge thanks from me @BIWI for starting and keeping these threads going.

Bootcamp was exactly what I needed in terms of better understanding weight loss (so many entrenched misunderstandings), starting the WOE, providing the recipe inspirations, which have been crucial in finally starting to turn the scales the other way, and putting me and DH on the path of healthier eating.

Im not always sticking firmly to the WOE now but trying to revert back and will keep an eye out for the next Bootcamp for inspiration.

I've also popped back on to say a huge 'thank you' to @BIWI. Bootcamp has given me the confidence to take control of my eating and acknowledge responsibility for when I choose the foods that put the weight back on. I'm having a strict week this week as a lot of bread has crept back in at the beginning of the school holidays, and so the scales are showing an upward trend again.

0.8lbs away from my first goal weight - was the ‘end of bootcamp target’ but 3 weeks in Oz drinking a fair bit of wine; followed by a week in Cornwall with carby friends has made it a slower process. I’d like to reach my goal of 150lb by the end of this week. I’m out tonight at sushi samba in convent garden so will look at the menu in advance as sushi is far from blooming ideal!!
