Week 3 - July 22 Low Carb Bootcamp - full-on or Light?

Morning all!

Some good results already I see - which is great. Flowers

Here's the spreadsheet

A warning about week 3

We now have the choice. You can either stay on Bootcamp, or move to Bootcamp Light, which allows some fruit (mainly berries), some nuts/seeds (although check the carb counts, as they vary hugely) and alcohol in moderation.

However. Week 3 (and 4, and sometimes even 5) is notorious for seeing a change in the rate of loss. You may not see any loss, and you may even see a slight gain. If this happens to you, DON'T PANIC! It's totally, totally normal. As long as you're following the rules, and KOKO, things will resume. It's all about your body adjusting to this new regime.

So bearing this in mind, you may decide to stay on 'full-on' Bootcamp. Or, as some do, a hybrid, so Bootcamp during the week and then Bootcamp Light at the weekend.

Whatever your decision, I hope you have a good week.

Thanks @BIWI. I'm ready to embrace low carb again 😁

Decent SV this morning - 1.75lb off this week, actually 1lb heavier than yesterday but overdid it in the garden at the weekend and I'm sure I've hung onto alot of water to cushion the aching muscles this morning. Great NSV though - last night I was able to comfortably fall sleep on my front without getting indigestion! This is exciting because sleeping on my front is supposedly good for my neck but I've but been able to do it for ages.

Good luck to everyone else weighing this morning Smile

I'm going to do a slight cheat this morning and use my lowest from last week as I think I'm hanging onto water due to illness. Feeling a bit better this morning,

Got to take poor Eric to the vets though as he is struggling to walk. Poor old man, hopefully get him some painkillers and he'll be bouncing again.

Good morning all, apologies, I've been busy juggling work over the past few days then away on weekend.

Weight this morning is 124lb so 1lb gain after STS last week. I've stuck to rules, introducing some strawberries. I'm putting it down to being pre-menstrual. I'd usually be massively bloated, I can feel water retention but no where near what it would be like on carbs.

Here's to another week! Hopefully a loss next Monday! KOKO everyone! With cooler weather, hoping to get more walking in!

Morning!
If I ignore the pesky 0.8 then I am 2 stone off since Easter. I am below 12 stone for the first time in a very, very long time. Happy with that!

bella1426 · 15/08/2022 08:35

So down 3.6 lbs on my starting weight (I have not been bootcamping or weighing the first few weeks due to illness so this is across the 3 weeks)
Happy with that start. Had a bit of a fail this morning, managed less than 3 hours sleep with the heat last night and a few spoons of peanut butter made their way into my mouth while making my sons toast. Extreme tiredness leads me to crave something sweet-ish and comforting....oh well at least it wasn't a big dirty croissant or toast with marmalade...
Gonna be a tough day...back to work after 2 weeks off recovering from my pneumonia, probably contributed to my sleep issues last night

Lots of coffee with cream this morning
Tuna olive feta artichoke caper salad for lunch
Stirfried cabbage mince and mushrooms with some sour cream and cheese for dinner

Can't wait for bed! Piss off bastard heatwave!

I'm 1.5lbs down, which I'm happy with. I'm out to lunch with a friend today, so I'm going to look at the menu beforehand.

Thanks BIWI

Congratulations @comfortablyfrumpy - a new stone bracket is a great result 👏

@bella1426 take it easy and the peanut butter is fine! Hope you get fully better soon.

1lb off for me (4 in total) and I'm very happy with that. Covid thankfully subsiding....
