Morning all. Beautiful sunny day here - I hope it's the same for all of us.

Here's the spreadsheet, as ever

So only two more weeks to go. Still time to drop a couple of pesky pounds - perhaps more if you're strict - perhaps return to strict Bootcamp for this last fortnight?

Remember this week's challenge is to find/post recipes for your best salads. (Not allowing @venusandmars to post hers Wink)

Good luck everyone Flowers

Evening all

I'm struggling to record my water intake a bit. I've been really thirsty today. So I downloaded a water tracking app but then I couldn't decide whether to log the water as I pour it or as I finish it. I've settled on finish it. I know that all sounds so stupid but I think I've got so much going on that I have no more brain space for trivial decisions!

Anyway, my tracker says I've had 4.75l water so far and warned me that drinking too much water is harmful. My research concluded that it isn't the quantity of water (the body can metabolise 20l per day) but the spacing of the water that counts, and more than 1.5l per hour can be problematic, so I think I'm fine.

B - skipped as ran out of time (DD1 (16) is being tricky in the morning)
L - salad with goats cheese, tomatoes, olives.
D - roasted veg (celery, leek, courgette, tomatoes, mushroom, broccoli, pepper) with a 99% beef burger.

BIWI to be honest I found an old thread about breakfast suggestions and you recommended yoghurt and berries! I didn't know there was a difference!!

BIWI · 15/06/2022 20:53

@Mumtothreeandadog Have you not read Bootcamp rules? They're on the spreadsheet (which is linked to in the OP of this thread)

Bootcamp is 2 strict weeks, during which fruit, nuts/seeds, chocolate and alcohol are not allowed.

Congratulations @Lougle, that's a very exciting morning!

Well done @Lougle 👏

I've gone back under 11 to 10.12 after holiday transgressions. Now aiming for my previous low of 10.10.

@IveNeverTriedThisBefore your aubergine bake sounds lovely. How long did you bake it for? I will def try that when I get my cooker back!

pinknsparkly · 16/06/2022 08:51

@BIWI - thanks so much. She's almost two. And she actually eats quite a lot of cheese which I'd not got my brain into gear enough to realise is also protein heavy! She used to eat eggs but now won't have them in anything that can be identified as egg.... She's actually not bad with vegetables. She'll happily eat the insides of cucumber and spit the skins all over the floor.... she often has a bowl of mixed vegetables with her breakfast 😂 I'm working on getting my husband to offer savoury snacks before fruit but it's a bit of battle... once she's had fruit, it's game over in terms of getting her to eat anything savoury! Funnily enough she doesn't like fish fingers, but mentioning that has made me remember that she's liked chicken nuggets when we've been out before so I'll try making her some of those. She also LOVES baked beans but the tomato sauce give her horrendous nappy rash and she won't eat them without the sauce 😄

pinknsparkly · 16/06/2022 08:53

Congratulations @Lougle!

And @IveNeverTriedThisBefore - does that combination of feta and egg as a sauce bake into a thick sauce? I don't seem to be very good at making thick coating sauces without the assistance of flour!

TheOnlyMrsW · 16/06/2022 09:54

1lb down this morning so have reversed the DL damage!!!! Weight seems to be going down veerrrry slowly (have barely lost at all) but clothes are fitting better and I'm losing inches so 🤷

Mercedesbenz2022 · 16/06/2022 10:37

Well done @Lougle
thats great !

I’ve had sore throat , terrible coughing , 2 neg covid tests which would make you think
id be off my food but noooo , I’m eating everything , yesterday I just gave up for the day which was lucky as DP came home with lasagne
I did say ohhh we haven’t had carbs for ages and watched as the penny dropped for him 🙄

back to it today koko

ZiggZagg · 16/06/2022 10:38

I've lost the 9lb I put on last week, gave me a fright so I am sticking to my egg fast for another 2 days as I'm quite enjoying it!

L Fried Eggs with Halloumi Cheese
D Cheese Omelette

Must say my plans for food this weekend are sounding so appetizing- will have lots of steak and FLGV Smile I'm thinking the egg fast will help me to appreciate other foods a lot more!

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 16/06/2022 15:24

Congratulations @Lougle - that's a great achievement

@SummerSazz & @pinknsparkly
it was really delicious! I made it in a lasange dish which would prob serve 4 (quite) large portions; I think how much you make depends on the size of your dish
If you werent worried re: dairy, I think 2 packs of feta and 5 eggs would be good. Whizz them in blender and pour on top
I had them on at 180degrees for about 35-40 mins - just until it had puffed up and was nice and golden on top
It was really tasty

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 16/06/2022 19:44

Hi all, today was:

IF till lunch
L: leftover aubergine bake with tomato and avo
D: chicken thighs and green beans stir-fried in coconut oil, hazelnuts and head of pan choi stir fried in coconut oil

Worried I didn't have enough fat today but tbh I am so full I can't eat anything else
Going to finish my water now at pilates
Weight 10st 9.5lbs today (149.5lbs) hope it keeps off for Monday!

Lougle · 16/06/2022 20:54

I'm really tired and had a busy, busy, day.

B - greek yoghurt, clotted cream and blueberries.
L - skipped - was somewhere far from shops and by the time I could eat it was 4.30pm anyway.
D - Chicken thigh casserole. Cheated and put cornflour in to thicken the gravy for the family, but I didn't eat much gravy. Celery, peppers, celeriac, leeks, swede.

Fluid: 2 cups of tea. 3.75l water.

APerfectlyGoodName · 16/06/2022 21:11

I'm still here! Drinking all the water!

I went to my GP Tuesday, who told me one of the biggest culprits for irritable bladder Blush is fizzy drinks. I had regularly consumed 1L of SanPellegrino at night, so now I am back to tap water.

B, eggs spinach & cheese - creamy coffee.
L. Ham bits
D. Burger, leftover cabbage & sprouts, coleslaw
I cooked the cabbage & sprouts in the microwave, as I was rushing, and they are better than the regular oven. They keep their colour better. DC ask if there's butter in them - my DC will eat cabbage and B sprouts!! >>proud mum emoji<<

I'm glad we're all trucking on, cats and all.

Lougle · 17/06/2022 05:19

Oh @APerfectlyGoodName that's a shame. Fizzy drinks are very acidic. I suppose you could try mixing fizzy and plain until you have just enough fizz to make it interesting but not so much that it irritates your bladder?

Thanks for all the congratulations. I'm another 1.1lb down today. It had better stick for Monday or I'll throw a tantrum 🤣

I've had a terrible night's sleep. Dog was up twice and it was really hot.

BIWI · 17/06/2022 09:32

No tantrums, please!!!

Grin

Sounds like it's all going well.

Well done @Lougle, makes me very happy to read that ( as if I am going to get the exact same next week :) one can hope! ). I am only drinking 2 L water plus 2 coffee, which is nee to me with this BC and downloading waterlogged helped!
aubergine bake sounds lovely. Some how everything I tried to make with Aubergine would be soaked in oil and then not very exciting to eat. And I had one left to rotten in fridge. And can’t remember whether I mentioned this already, but salad was never part of my meals. Only just started eating it. But basically mine always end up with cherry tomatoes, lettuce, avocado plus chicken or egg. Somehow not getting the right stuff you all do, to make variety salads. Also I add Mayo no other dressings! Will try the recipes and see I can master it, any suggestions welcome :)

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 17/06/2022 18:20

Hello all, it's Friday! Today was:

IF till lunch
L: leftover aubergine bake with tomatoes and avo
S: handful of pecans
D: going to make a steak, slice it and have over leaves, tomatoes, onions & asparagus. Going to pour over the butter from frying it
Drank all my water

My sister is here for the weekend and I am going to have 2 glasses of wine with her tonight and I am very much looking forward to it. Hopefully it's far enough away from Monday not to impact me too much

FinallyHere · 17/06/2022 19:45

Just had creme, Greek yoghurt and cinnamon. It's too hot for anything else. Why did I never try this before?

Delicious.

In other news, my jeans needed a belt to keep them up this week. Lo and behold, another inch off my waist. Still a long way to go but NSV always welcome.

FinallyHere · 17/06/2022 19:46

Happy weekend @IveNeverTriedThisBefore

Lucienandjean · 17/06/2022 20:49

I was away last week on holiday. I stuck mostly to the WOE but had a couple of unavoidable higher carb meals with family. Ugh. I definitely paid for that with a gain on Monday at weigh-in.
But I'm back on track and sneakily weighed myself this morning (normally I stick to once a week) and I'm down 3 pounds! So I think most of the gain must have been water weight. Anyway, I'm feeling encouraged that the damage wasn't too hard to undo.

B: fasting
L: avocado, poached eggs, mushrooms cooked in butter.
D: pork chop with a creamy mustard sauce, green beans, mashed swede
S: a few strawberries and cream
