Sorry for the late start.

Here's the spreadsheet for you to confess all!

A quick peek shows some really good early results, with @UnOeufIsEnough and @loopylou3030 both hitting the half stone mark. Brilliant! Flowers

Thanks it was TOM too and had heavy drinking on saturday afternoon/night but kept to low carb and didn't cheat! Hopefully will lose some period water in the next day or so too. Happy Days!

UnOeufIsEnough · 09/05/2022 09:04

Thanks for the new thread @BIWI. I am DELIGHTED! It's put a spring in my step this morning!

venusandmars · 09/05/2022 09:04

No idea about weight, although feeling so much healthier. Posting to keep track of the new thread 😊

BIWI · 09/05/2022 09:04

My scales don't like our new carpet, and will only tell me 'Err' so I can't put that on the spreadsheet!

Will have to find a new place for them.

Glad to see @Lougle that you've also registered a very good loss, despite your concerns!

5lbs down, delighted with that. Carbs are normally a bit part of my diet but not missing them as much as I thought I would. Yesterday was the first day I really struggled, felt light headed when out walking and generally not great but Bought the electrolytes and they definitely helped.

BIWI · 09/05/2022 09:05

Glad to see @Lougle that you've also registered a very good loss, despite your concerns!

Thank you. I have ordered some new scales because my scales fluctuated 0.3kg in exactly the same spot and kept doing it in different locations!

prettybird · 09/05/2022 09:18

@BIWI - kitchen floor? Or dh, until we had the new bathroom and its flat floor put in, used to put the scales in top of the dining room table Shock

BIWI · 09/05/2022 09:19

I don't fancy walking down two flights of stairs, naked, to weigh in the kitchen though!

I might buy one floor tile and put the scales somewhere up in our bedroom.

3lb for me! Bit disappointing as I had showed 6 off on Saturday but realize 3lb is a massive loss really and will KOKO. Will definitely work on my water intake which is the only reason I can see for why it's not 6, but very pleased to get off the mark!Grin

BIWI · 09/05/2022 09:41

Don't despair @ZiggZagg! First, it's a good loss. And second, weight fluctuates quite naturally on a day-by-day basis - as you've already seen! Just focus on the water and keep on doing all the other good stuff.

1.3 pounds for me. I'm ok with that. I think I was already fairly well fat-adapted before this week started so I was never going to get that initial whoosh of all the water weight going.

But the numbers on the scales are going in the right direction so I'm happy.

Rayna37 · 09/05/2022 09:57

Thrilled with 4.4lbs, which is the lowest I saw all week (Friday, then again this morning) and lowest I've hit in about a year! About half was from the weekend prior to bootcamp and half genuine loss (possibly still water though?) and I've not had perfect compliance so very happy.

ZiggZagg · 09/05/2022 09:59

Oh I know @BIWI Grin

I was momentarily disappointed but 3lbs is 3lbs and I have 20 weeks left until my cruise so even 1lb a week from now on would still give me a significant loss and make me feel loads better in my beachwear Grin

Fasting this morning with loads of WATER!!

L will be Shakshooka
D is chicken legs with FLGV roasted with feta cheese

Where else can you eat all this delicious food and still lose weight? You never feel deprived on this WOE and this is why I keep coming back! Just glad I seem to have found the headspace for it this time around!

mimosa1 · 09/05/2022 10:18

Just under 2kg off for me which is great as I wasn't perfect during my Paris trips. I have a lot to lose though.

I love reading this week's updates. It's always a bit of a boost to hear so many whooshes .

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 09/05/2022 10:18

I only started on Friday so only 3 days in but will add my weight so I am along with everyone else

This morning I weigh 11st; down 11st 5lbs on Friday morning. I think my wieght in Friday morning was not ccurate however; I had eaten really bad they day before as was travelling and had no water. I have been trying to lose weight on calorie controlled diet now since August and I am stuck at 11st; cant get under it; so I think this morning's weight is more realistic of what I am.

This morning I feel awful; I had chicken, avo, tomatoes & coleslas last night; I wonder if it is the cabbage. I didnt put loads of carrots in as I had loads of cabbage to use up; but stomach feels very sore and crampy. Dont feel like eating anything today. But will carry on with water and hopefully feel better later

Also; I just wanted to ask if anyone has had lots of night sweats since they started this WOE? Since Friday; I have woken up every night and have been really sweaty (sorry for TMI!) Was just wondering if it was the initial water weight being lost

Well done to everyone! Having been on a diet for so long recently; anything off is a win, dont be disheartened if you feel it should be more; slow and steady every week is great (I have plateaued at 11st since Nov on the calorie controlled diet and I feel totally fed up)

Wilkolampshade · 09/05/2022 10:26

4lbs. Been a bit slack though, so probs very much water weight.
Have a period of quite demanding physical work up scaffolding coming up from next week so will have to try and balance demands carefully and be aware of tiredness/fogginess etc.

Rayna37 · 09/05/2022 10:27

@ZiggZagg I think you asked about beef sausages? I noticed some Tesco Finest Aberdeen Angus ones yesterday that looked good.

@IveNeverTriedThisBefore I actually find it's sugar/alcohol (mainly alcohol tbh) that gives me night sweats and this WoE helps. Maybe more electrolytes needed? Others may have more advice!

Wilkolampshade · 09/05/2022 10:29

FS, should read "physical work up some scaffolding from next week"

BestIsWest · 09/05/2022 10:30

Morning, well done on the weight losses, no weighing for me (I get obsessed and then demotivated and my scales are ancient) but I have measured and there’s a definite movement in the tape measure.
Food going ok but I need to up the water.

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 09/05/2022 10:32

Thanks a million @Rayna37 I have been taking the High5 tablets.. my husband is joking cos I have been drinking so much more water than normal that it has to go somwhere!

RagzRebooted · 09/05/2022 10:55

3.5lbs off for me, very happy with that. Have downloaded the waterlogged app to track my water and help motivate me, as I didn't do brilliantly with that last week. Also had wine over the weekend as was celebrating some good news with DH (ducks the stick).

FarTooFat · 09/05/2022 10:56

Urgh. 1.5 pounds UP!

I eat low carb anyway - so I didn't have any water weight to lose. But I had a celebratory weekend and the extra weight is from wine 😭

TheRealShedSadie · 09/05/2022 11:13

Yay! 3lbs down this week. AND that makes a massive 9lbs in the last 3 weeks (when I started LC). Thrilled!

The skinny jeans are on. I mean I’m not saying they’re comfy or anything (Nor can I sit down!) But I haven’t had them over my bum in more than a year.

bella1426 · 09/05/2022 11:14

Morning everyone, well done on your losses! 3.8lb off for me which I'm delighted about as I do not lose easily! A lot of water weight I'm sure but hey I'll take it. Best part is all the delicious satisfying food I've been eating, and no bloody tracking! Hasn't felt like a 'diet' at all 🤗 insomnia a bit of a problem, which I believe is not uncommon when switching to this WoE, anyone else experiencing it? I've been doing the electrolytes, water, fats right I think...not sure if there is anything else I can change? Maybe I just need to weather it out which is not too bad, despite the crap sleep I'm managing the days ok as normally tirendness has me in a horrible cycle of carb/sugar fuelling and crashes and the steady state energy from LCHF is carrying me through
Onto week two 💪

B - Greek yogurt and cream
L - dip made with philly, avocado and red chilli pesto with chunks of chicken, celery and cucumber
D - leftover Cauli and chicken thigh from last night with some additional green veg
