Sorry for the late start.

Here's the spreadsheet for you to confess all!

A quick peek shows some really good early results, with @UnOeufIsEnough and @loopylou3030 both hitting the half stone mark. Brilliant! Flowers

At the beginning of each Bootcamp I always post this:

A plea for good thread etiquette!

The threads will move very quickly (especially in the first couple of weeks). But please, please, please read everything that's been posted. Use the bookmark facility so that you don't lose your place. Don't just jump on the thread to post your own stuff without bothering to read what others have posted

It is very wearing when we have to keep answering the same questions, because posters haven't bothered to read what's gone before!

Just a reminder as it's already obvious that this isn't happening

starting today, so nothing to update there. but well done to everyone those who lost and koko.. I have noticed in last bootcamp that even though I am strictly following LC, if my water intake is not good, then I am not loosing enough weight. I have a stone (and half) to loose, so its not because it is near my ideal weight. Just read about waterlogged app? Looking into it, as this is where I fail.

meloncolic · 09/05/2022 11:33

I think I had put on the end of the old thread that I had lost 3.6 on the official dates - but I had started a week earlier after an easter utter diet disaster and a dress up event this weekend and actually I lost 8.2lbs since 27 April. It just shows me how good it can be when I really do stick to the rules, although I can always drink more water.

veg and cream cheese for breakfast, planning eggs and asparagus for lunch and slow-cooked beef with turnips, squash and cauliflower for dinner.

Rshard · 09/05/2022 11:47

Thanks for the new week’s thread @BIWI

Lots of great losses recorded, well done! Over the weekend I found my self nibbling, low carb but still nibbling. That’s my challenge for this week, to cut the snacks.

Good luck everyone

Lougle · 09/05/2022 12:01

Wow, what a lot of success already!! @TheRealShedSadie congratulations on getting the jeans on!

I woke up in a panic in the night because I'd been munching my way through a packet of rice cakes and a bag of wine gums. Took me a few minutes to realise it was a dream. Must have been feeling peckish subconsciously 😁

TheRealShedSadie · 09/05/2022 12:16

Thanks Lougle
laughing at your dream snacking! Maybe tonight BIWI will be after you with her dream stick!

Sunseed · 09/05/2022 12:19

Hello everyone, and well done on all the losses so far!

Another idea for tracking water, which might sound a bit daft but it's motivating me..... I've put up a kid's reward chart on the fridge, making a tally mark on it after each glass of water. Daily smiley face stickers, and for completing the whole week I awarded myself a gold star!

Mercedesbenz2022 · 09/05/2022 12:51

1 down butI’m in week 3ish so wasn’t expecting more . Also a few drinks Fri prob didn’t help . As per my previous posts I’m losing bloat which means I’m starting to get into things I haven’t been able to .

Baystard · 09/05/2022 12:55

@Newlease I took on the spreadsheet but it seems to be a bit temperamental when it comes to sort/ filter and I'm not sure why and I don't want to mess around with it in case I break it again 😳 I saved a copy of the Jan BC and copied it into the tab on the new one but it doesn't look correct and I've no idea what/ when it happened. Sorry.

prettybird · 09/05/2022 13:04

Woohoo! Smile 5 and 3/4lb off this week, so I'm now just under 12 1/2 stone ShockGrin

Can someone please put last week's weight (12st 12.5lb) and this week's one (12st 6.75lb) onto the spreadsheet for me, pretty please Smile I'm rarely on the laptop and I don't want to download Google Sheets on to my phone as it's creaking for memory as it is Blush

I did Level 2 of Jillian Michael's Ripped DVD this morning and went for a 3km run Halo (It was the first run in 2.5 months and was veeeeeery slow but I did it Wink - and I went out while it was raining ShockHalo)

SummerSazz · 09/05/2022 13:25

Well done everyone 💪, a great start 👏

1lb off for me this week which I'm happy with, 23 since the Jan bootcamp and people are really starting to notice.

I'm away this week and next with work so need to just make good choices, curb the alcohol and drink the water.

Lougle · 09/05/2022 13:29

@BIWI I'm really mindful of your comment about the sweeteners in the High5 tabs so haven't had any today, but the water is really hard to drink. I think it's the hard water we have here. How cheaty would it be to add a squirt of lemon juice (2.2g per 100g) or lime juice (1g per 100g) to my water? I know the rules say absolutely no fruit.

BIWI · 09/05/2022 13:31

Add slices of lemon or lime or cucumber to your water @Lougle.

Also, try drinking hot water with a slice of lemon - it's surprisingly different from drinking it cold!

@prettybird that exercise is impressive. I need to start doing some.

I went to Lidl today but they don't sell the authentic Greek yogurt 😒They only sell 0% authentic, or full-fat Greek 'style'.

MuthaHubbard · 09/05/2022 13:31

1.1lbs off for me which I am delighted with given my headspace moment earlier in the week.
Hopefully this is the start of me being more 'with it' and focused 😊
Well done all and good luck this week

prettybird · 09/05/2022 13:41

@Lougle - I make every 2nd pint of water that I have a home-made electrolyte one, with a shake of Lo-Salt and a small squoosh of lemon juice.

It also helps me remember/count how much water I've had over the day Wink

....wanders off to the kitchen to have more water Halo

prettybird · 09/05/2022 13:47

@Lougle - keep checking. The last couple of weeks, my local Lidl only had the 0% crap stuff, but yesterday they had the 10% yoghurt back in stock Smile. Confusingly, it comes in the same tray as the 0% crap stuff, so you have to look carefully. The lovely 10% yoghurt has got a dark blue top, unlike the 0% crap stuff which has (iirc) pink writing (or is it light blue?)

Well done everyone on your losses this week. I’ve managed to lose 6lb!! But….I weighed myself last Tuesday after flying back home from holiday and flights/travelling always make me really bloated so that is definitely mostly water weight! Really happy to be back to the weight I was at the end of the last boot camp after losing a stone, though, so now I can tackle the next stone I need to lose…

Lougle · 09/05/2022 13:59

Same tray? What is this madness. That means that I could have missed it today. Grrrr

Thanks for the fluid advice - I'll crack on.

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 09/05/2022 14:36

@Lougle @prettybird that looks similar to the one I get in Lidl.. although mine comes in either small tubs or else 1kg buckets. I think mine is 'Greek-style' - I think that just means it's nor made in Greece but it is pretty similar. The full-fat stuff is delish; I have often bought the other 0% by mistake as they are so similar and it is very disappointing!

ChiefDogsbody · 09/05/2022 14:38

STS this week, which I'm fine with as I started on Jan bootcamp so wasn't going to get a woosh. Also time of the month when I get completely ravenous so I have been eating loads, surprised I haven't put on to be honest.

DHs party went very well and I was so busy I barely noticed I hardly ate anything, just a few spoonfuls of lamb tagine, yum yum. Lots of tagine leftover so that's my lunches sorted this week!

I've got a few trips out this week so I will make myself some egg & veg muffin things to take with me in a cool bag. I find veg is tricky if I'm travelling so they do the job very well. Also some crudites and cream cheese.

prettybird · 09/05/2022 14:43

@IveNeverTriedThisBefore - I prefer the Lidl "authentic" Greek yoghurt (10% fat) to their "Greek style" (8% iirc). Imho, the Authentic Greek yoghurt is even creamier Wink

It is slightly more expensive though Hmm

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 09/05/2022 14:49

Will defo keep a look out! Sounds yum

Lougle · 09/05/2022 14:58

The one I bought is this. Milbona "Greek style" yoghurt. 10% fat, 4.6% carbs.

I'm not on the spreadsheet, but I've lost 2lbs. I wish it was more, but at least it's going down.
