Sorry for the late start.

Here's the spreadsheet for you to confess all!

A quick peek shows some really good early results, with @UnOeufIsEnough and @loopylou3030 both hitting the half stone mark. Brilliant! Flowers

@teraculum29 that's interesting...I do take magnesium citrate daily but never considered upping the dose, I'll give it a go tonight!
Just had a very lazy but satisfying lunch...used Edam slices as mini wraps/rollito type things and filled with tuna mayo and spinach. Effort required - zero 😆

bella1426 · 10/05/2022 13:30

🤣 @Ulelia I was very confused about the horse thing too

Lougle · 10/05/2022 14:03

I've just got back from my lunch. Very boring. Ham and boiled egg salad. No dressings, no oil, just mixed leaves, a couple of slices of ham and a boiled egg.

Rayna37 · 10/05/2022 14:33

Ulelia · 10/05/2022 13:24

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Went to the horse at school eventually as my knee wouldn't stop bleeding and now have two stitches and bandages on my wrist, elbow and knee, all down one side. I look ridiculous!

@BIWI thank you- the noodles were made of tofu so v low carb, something like 3g per 100g. So it was only really the sauce which derailed me a bit.
Otherwise think its going well, including today when several people tried to buy me cake to cheer me up, and I managed to say no to all of them! Woohooo!

I assumed you'd been to horspital, glad just the nurse! Grin

venusandmars · 10/05/2022 14:34

@bella1426 i have a magnesium lotion which I rub into my legs. I'm not sure how much of the Mg is absorbed but it gives me something to DO when my legs are twitching and driving me mad. Plus it smells lovely and keeps my legs moisturised.

RagzRebooted · 10/05/2022 15:39

prettybird · 10/05/2022 12:04

@bella1426 Magnesium apparently helps with restless legs so maybe get that in tablet form and/or treat yourself to baths in Epsom salts Smile

BetterYou (available on amazon) do a magnesium spray or lotion, they also do one with lavender added. Excellent reviews for it from people using it for restless legs.

prettybird · 10/05/2022 15:49

I never knew about the sprays/lotions, even though I knew that it absorbed better through the skin ConfusedBlush

Ulelia · 10/05/2022 16:09

Doesn't every school have a horsenurse? They're haymazing.

@Ulelia I hope you're feeling much better now?

I just have to say that I love cauliflower rice.

prettybird · 10/05/2022 18:24

I'm having cauliflower rice tonight for my portion of Suleman's Pilaf (using the leftover lamb) Smile (in fact I've just had to make a special walk along to the local greengrocer to get one)

UnOeufIsEnough · 10/05/2022 18:47

Finishing up the day on six eggs which doesn't feel too excessive (egg-cessive?!):

B: scrambled eggs with mushroom and a wee sprinkling of mozzarella
L: courgette soup and two boiled eggs
D: chorizo, aubergine and red pepper stew with a couple of eggs on top.

Had reflexology for lymph drainage today and my head is banging...have had most of my water for the day...another 450ml to target.

Furball · 10/05/2022 19:09

Just checking in for the day

2 eggs

Tuna mayo and salad

Snack - Slice of cheese and tomato wrapped in a slice of ham

Roast beef and homemade Ratatouille = 1 x Courgette, 1 x Aubergine, 1 x Onion, Tin of tomatoes, Spoon of Bovril, Garlic (I use puree)

Chop it all up and put in a pyrex dish, cover in the tin of tomatoes, mix the bovril, garlic puree and about 1/3 of a cup of boiling water and pour over the vegs. Cook at 180 for at least 1hr 30 then 1/2 hour before its ready sprinkle with cheese and put back in the oven 😋

Rshard · 10/05/2022 19:59

At home alone this evening so cooked myself cauliflower soup, so thick it was actually a purée. Little sprinkle of curry powder and so lush.

Also prepped a side of salmon with a slice rub for cooking tomorrow. Only buy when offer but it does greedy dh and me 5/6 lunches with salad.

Hope everyone is having a lovely evening

Upontherooftops · 10/05/2022 20:04

Not to jinx myself but the carb flu seems to be lifting today. I have a very long day tomorrow so it would be really good if that's true.

Food today -
B - 2 eggs
L - pork fillet with mushrooms and shallots in a cream sauce on cauliflower rice
D - salmon fillet with buttered leeks.

TheRealShedSadie · 10/05/2022 20:05

Hope you’re ok Ulelia

Looks like everyone has made a positive start to week 2, love getting inspired by all the lovely meals.

B - Greek yog, coffee and cream
L - Cheese and ham omlette
D - slow cooked lamb curry with veg
S- olives and cheddar chunks

IveNeverTriedThisBefore · 10/05/2022 20:14

Hi all, glad to hear you are better @Ulelia and loving the puns @Rayna37 🤣

I'm not sure if it was carb flu or some type of bug but I felt awful all day yday.. very sore tummy, headaches and even more tired than I normally am. Didn't eat at all (even when I am sick I still like food) and slept from 7pm-7am.. couldn't stay awake. But I drank all my water and feel OK today

B: coffee and cream
L: 'boil-in-the-bag' omelette from tom kerridge dopamine diet book I think @boredsolicitor mentioned already. Had lots of spinach, broccoli and asparagus in it and butter and cream. Didn't look great but tasted lovely
D: roast baby aubergine (lots of olive oil) with lamb ragu and tzatziki on top, had extra veg in ragu
All my water again today

I'm amazed how not hungry I am.. I didn't eat all day yday and didn't have my breakfast till 10.30am today

Rayna37 · 10/05/2022 21:27

Had the munchies tonight, which I took at face value but actually I might not have had enough fat today!

B: 1 cold sausage and a boiled egg (10am desk breakfast)
L: chicken mayo on salad; yogurt
D: salmon (the lovely "lightly smoked" kind) with steamed veg: broccoli carrots and sprouts, I did add some butter to veg but maybe needed more.

A second very good day on the water!

Notsomellownow · 10/05/2022 21:33

Checking in!
B: Coffee and yoghurt
L: Ceasar salad with chicken and bacon
D: Steak with homemade pepper sauce (cream and butter), mushrooms, onion, cauliflower cheese and tenderstem broccoli
3.5L water

Lucienandjean · 10/05/2022 21:33

Still struggling a bit with the water. The loo trips haven't got any less frequent and unfortunately I do need to leave the house occasionally. 😬

B: Greek yogurt and cream. Only a small blob as I really don't like breakfast.
L: two boiled eggs mashed with butter and mayo and eaten while still warm. Totally lush. Salad, 2 rollitos.
D: salmon and stir fried veg. Avocado, cherry tomatoes.
S: not had one yet but may have a piece of cheese later.

APerfectlyGoodName · 10/05/2022 22:03

Was a bit distracted - interview was vile. Hey ho.

B. Omlette as before - mushroom herbs cheddar on a bed of leaves - creamy coffee.
D. Lamb chop with aubergine & sprouts.
I added a bit of olive oil to both meals which was lush.
S. Greek yogurt.

I didn't get to a shop today, On it tomorrow!

I'm sitting here drinking water, and thanks for the reminders to be heavy on the fats. I knew this but still ...

latebloomingleo · 10/05/2022 22:12

Am I too late to join in please? Please can I be added to the fabulous spreadsheet @Baystard?
A big change from last time I followed this WOE, in that I’ve given up alcohol. So I won’t be fighting myself so much this time.

Lougle · 10/05/2022 22:38

Hooray for the humble cauliflower!

Sorry the interview didn't go well @APerfectlyGoodName

My day has ended:
B - mushrooms fried in butter. 1 spoon Greek style yoghurt
L - woeful ham and egg salad
D - cheesy Bolognese and cauliflower rice bake.

Fluid: 4 x 750ml water 6 cups of tea with almond milk, 1 cup of tea with full fat milk.
