Here's a link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness lovingly managed by @ouchmyfeet.

I've added a couple of names that I've spotted this evening, but they're at the bottom of the list not alphabetised - if your name isn't on the list, add yours at the bottom, and we'll re-alphabetise it once we get going.

Thank you for getting back to me. I can see my weight on the spreadsheet 196. Not sure why its not showing for you. I've lost 4lbs this week which is brilliant.
I usually suffer with ibs going 2 times a day minimum, its been 3 days without even feeling the need to go sorry for tmi!
I'm eating plenty of fat which is very new for me and I'm loving it. Being honest I usually drink a few glasses of wine a week so cutting out the booze must also helping my ibs.
Will up my walking this week, I've definitely found myself having so much more energy!

Kirstyr455 · 23/01/2022 22:20

@BIWI sorry I'm pretty new to mumsnet still working out tagging people!

ShangPie · 23/01/2022 22:24

@Random789 the roasted nibs might remind you of red wine from the roasting process - often red wines are aged in oak barrels that have been toasted inside, and this can give the wine a rich smooth vanilla taste. Maybe the unroasted nibs would not have the same flavours - will be interesting to compare!

The chat thread for tomorrow

OP posts:
APerfectlyGoodName · 23/01/2022 22:56

I've had mostly good days. One fail which included chicken nuggets! I was down over 2lbs but have bounced back up, leaving me only a single lb loss for the week.Blush
However I feel good and am reinspired to pull out the airfryer (gadget queen) and try harder with the water.
B. Protein bar (out cycling)
L. Eggs, feta & spinach
S. Low carb bread & butter.
D. HM Bolognese with sprouts and cauliflower

A loss is a loss.

BIWI · 23/01/2022 23:06

A loss is a loss - true! But why do you need the protein bar?

An early start to week 2!

Lurching from my throne to say goodnight and good luck for tomorrow. Have felt utterly miserable today still, my gut is not happy at all. Not otherwise ill, haven’t been sick, no fever, neg LFTs just can’t leave the damn bathroom. And while I’m in there I just slap on anti-itch cream 😢. I know I should be eating but I’m just can’t face much. I felt so ropey this morning I had a slice of whole meal toast and that did steady my gut a fair bit. I had bone broth at lunch time (just couldn’t have forced anything else down). Dinner I managed half a salmon fillet and a few bits of broccoli.

On the plus side I did find my journal from 2017 which I thought I’d thrown out and it looks like I spent two solid weeks moaning about how miserable I was feeling, I don’t really know how I wasn’t thrown off bootcamp if I did as much whinging on here as I clearly did at home 🤣. After week 3 it appears I turned into an evangelist and became the most irritating bloody ray of sunshine. So this seems like a normal pattern for me, but like childbirth, I’d forgotten how shit it was.

FinallyHere · 24/01/2022 00:47

@Kirstyr455 a generous portion of (in ascending power) raw cabbage, spinach or celeriac plus drinking loads of water seems to keep my digestion regular.

If anything does get stuck, a tea made of a few senna pods last thing at night gets everything moving again.

B : IF
L : SLCRoll and bacon (DH is now a convert)
D : heck sausages with Savoy cabbage, lardons and creme fraiche

Phew first week down no casualties.

@FrenchBoule

Hello 🙂

Boring foodwise, family had breaded meat and veg, i chucked mine “naked” pork tenderloin dusted in salt and ground coriander on the frying pan.
Steamed Green french beans with a dollop on butter for companion and here we go.

Had a strong urge to eat something after the dinner so demolished half of Port Salut cheese.

Baking for people today, gives me a sense of accomplishment but I’m not tempted.

Discovered that ditching my lovely sourdough and fruit makes me a sociable person again as I’m not a gas bag farting all the time. Now I’m wondering who’s the culprit responsible for my bloating 🤔

High five to fellow cabbage growers, chicken keepers and sausage makers 🙂

Me too on the bloating and gas front. I always feel so windy! Hoping this WOE will help the constant wind that seems to be rattling around my tummy desperately trying to escape!
DollyDingleberry · 24/01/2022 07:15

Morning all!

5lbs off for me this week, 2 of those were the ones I gained on weight watchers in the first 2 weeks of the year so it was very satisfying to see those come off so fast.

My weight loss graph tells the story really, red is WW, green is LCHF Grin

Welcome to 2022's first Low Carb Bootcamp!
missfliss · 24/01/2022 07:18

So well done @DollyDingleberry

I've been on weight watchers twice - first time I did lose weight but obviously it all came back on

Second time I also lost weight but it was so unsustainable for me and since reading Andre jenkinsons book I know now why! I also understand why over time calorie restriction ( basically what WW Is) has led to my set point being even higher!

Congratulations on the loss - even more congratulations on changing your approach xxx

queenofcauliflower · 24/01/2022 07:19

@BIWI

An early start to week 2!
There's a new thread @DollyDingleberry - see @BIWI's Post above!
BaconOmelette · 24/01/2022 07:46

Morning everyone!

Just nervously done my first weigh, and I’m 3lb down 😊

Very happy with that.

BIWI · 24/01/2022 09:00

Read the thread @BaconOmelette! We're over on the week 2 chat thread now.

OP posts:
APerfectlyGoodName · 24/01/2022 18:56

@BIWI I'm just leaving this here as I know this is last weeks - but my 'bad' day came after a long fasted cycle. I felt awful after and ended up with gougons in the evening as I was too tired to organise anything better.
The protein bar was 16g carb and usually I'm happy to halve one, but my legs were really lethargic. I might do half one and 8g carb the next time.

BIWI · 24/01/2022 18:59

@APerfectlyGoodName

In a week or so you should find it a lot easier. Halving sounds like a good idea!

OP posts:
Jollyholibobs · 25/01/2022 07:17

I am back from my ski trip weighing in late this week. Good choices generally made while away and I am down 1.6lbs.

Will catch up with the thread as soon I can

B IF
L home made coleslaw and French cheese
D portobello mushroom pizzas from the fast800 site and lots of salad.

Water, water, water

BIWI · 25/01/2022 10:31

Great going @Jollyholibobs! See you over on the other thread when you've had a chance to catch up Flowers
