I started a week ago and am already feeling less lethargic.
I would like to eat less meat. Has anyone got any low carb vegetarian protein suggestions?

Have added name to the bottom! Am really struggling with peri menopause and just started hrt… so will be trying to be super strict. I’m just going to put out that I’d love to lose a stone in my dreams, but I would be overjoyed with ten pounds. Or half a stone.

Water, fat, protein, veg. Off to supermarket tomorrow.

First time I'm trying this having low carbed for a few months on my own a couple of years ago i.e. pre covid work from home eating biscuits. I have added my name to the spreadsheet. Good luck everyone!

I started a week ago, though only BC light as I had a glass of wine Friday and Saturday evenings and a few spoons of peanut butter earlier in the week. DH cooks most nights and I don't want to burden him too much (he find cooking stressful anyway), but equally don't want to be cooking my own dinner every night after work. I've frozen extra portions of a few things this week, so I have something as fall back.

My focus this bootcamp will be on the FLVG aspect, as I tend to use LC as an excuse to eat bowlfuls of fried meat and a ton of dairy, while pretending it's virtuous.

Dh laughs at me (in a nice way Wink) because when I'm on Boot Camp I usually have a big bowl of shoogled sprouts for my supper on a Friday night (with Cava after the first 2 weeks) while he has either a Lidl curry or a family (Shock) pack of chicken nuggets (Lidl's own brand). It's our "relax in front of the TV and have a ready meal" night Smile

It helps me supplement my FLGV count Grin

Annoyingly I tested positive for covid on Saturday.

I will try as much as possible to follow the rules but I have not really been up for eating today.

I started back on lc on Monday last week so I'm pretty much on week two

I lost a lot of weight doing following BIWI's advice a few years ago so I know it works.

I am still not on the spreadsheet. Google spreadsheet does not like me ( I am not very good with excel). Two requests: 1) can some one add me please, with today’s date and 186 lbs. 2) will I be found alphabetically or at the bottom?

I can’t see my name on the spreadsheet but also can’t see rows 6-21 so it could be, will come back and check later and add weight then.
I won’t be starting until tomorrow as I don’t pick shopping up until tonight, couldn’t get it ib sooner as one of my DCs tested positive for covid!

Reluctantly weighed myself. I know I’m not massive, but as a short person definitely need to lose the last stone. Trying not to think about it and concentrating on how I feel and looking after myself instead. Thanks for the water reminder.

Good morning bootcampers!

Thanks @BIWI for the bootcamp.

I did the pre Christmas camp and loved it. Lost 11lb. Aiming for a stone this one.

@prettybird, yours is a brilliant start, well done.

I (hopefully) got to Florida in 80 days and need to fit into my holiday clothes.

Today's food will be -

B - scrambled egg on a portabello mushroom.
L - tuna lettuce wraps
D - steak salad

S - cucumber slices with salt and pork scratchings.

First 500ml of water done too.

I've been on LC boot camp previously and done very well. I even managed to hold a steady weight and run a fair bit during lockdown. Subsequently (separation & single parenting, work etc) I've added Almost a stone (and already had a stone to lose) so I'm back!

I started last mon so this is week 2 for me. I've lost 6lbs (appreciate a lot of that is water), 0.5% body fat and my resting heart rate has gone down from 66 to 61......

No alcohol and trying to do 16:8 as much as possible and LOTS OF WATER. This is the one I keep forgetting but is really important especially to help any headaches

My sister has been LC for about a year due to a diabetes scare and she's lost about 2 stone (very slim now) and reversed her diabetes score. I've booked my BUPA medical for 1 March to keep me on the straight and narrow!!

Morning all!

I was rather surprised to see a smaller number than I expected on the scale, when I’ve recently had to buy new jeans because my hips are definitely the widest they’ve ever been. Proof for me that the number on the scale is only part of the equation!

I’m not fasting, but am going to actively aim for a 12 hour period overnight with no food. In normal life for me that can drop as low as six hours, and I’m coming to understand the impact of that on weight and health.
