Morning all. Sorry for the late start to the thread, but I slept in. Then hungry cats had to be fed before I could deal with this!

Anyway here's the spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

Hopefully all good news to report - but never fear, if last week hasn't been great, you still have a few days left to sort that.

Looks like it's going to be a more settled week weather-wise, and hopefully we really will be seeing more and more signs of spring to cheer us all up.

Here's to a great last week Flowers

Not really necessary to eat in my opinion, Bestbees. Everyone’s experience is different, but if—like me—you’re accustomed to an annual flu jab, it’s pretty much the same. Take something along in case you feel weak or light-headed.

Ninkanink · 24/03/2021 10:58

@ShagMeRiggins thank you!

Bestbees · 24/03/2021 11:18

I am not a fainted generally, but I would normally eat before something like this. Might grab a boiled egg to eat immediately after. Thanks!

1stMrsF · 24/03/2021 12:07

I tried the Cauliflower and tomato pizziaola last night - it was delish. Thank you to @Doilooklikeatourist for posting that in the last thread. I've added to the Veggie recipe thread. I didn't use basil, only oregano, so it tasted a bit greek rather than italian, and went well with lamb koftas. Might try it with added feta another day.

In good news wrt water, I have managed to drink a full bottle by midday, which usually stands me in good stead, but on the flip side, have just realised that my new bottle is only 600ml, not the 750ml of my previous one, so I've been drinking less than I thought!

My contribution to the wrist strap discussion yesterday - a big NSV for my BC weightloss the first time around was being able to wear my engagement and eternity rings again with my wedding ring, they had been too tight all together at my highest weight.

FusionChefGeoff · 24/03/2021 12:24

Shhhhhh, don't say it too loudly and no one look it directly in the eyes but.... I've recorded a bit of a whoosh for 2 days in a row now.

I don't trust it not to come back as I've now been for a run so my usual pattern is that it seems to go straight back on (presumably in water) but I'm drinking insane quantities of water to encourage it to piss off and will report back (again, very very quietly) tomorrow morning....

Today I will mostly be eating:
elevenses: boiled egg mayo
lunch: chicken, avo & asparagus salad with hm caesar dressing. might try to add a soft boiled egg if I'm feeling brave!
dinner: leftover cauli cheese and FLGV, maybe a sausage

MrsOmelette · 24/03/2021 13:45

Well I had chocolate mug cake with cream cheese icing for breakfast, it was just what I needed after being up from 3am!! I’ll have my planned meals for rest of day, and keep it in my repertoire for occasional comfort food. I’d quite like to tweak it to make a lemon one.

BIWI · 24/03/2021 14:50

I need inspiration, oh wise ones!

Sainsbury's had whole ducks on special offer, so that's what we're having tonight. I haven't roasted a whole duck for years and years - usually we just have duck breast.

I'm completely blank about what to serve with it. I am a bit light on veg, so will be going shopping this afternoon, but what should I buy? I do have tenderstem broccoli, which I can roast with some shallots.

What else would you like with your duck?

Inspire me Grin

StuntNun · 24/03/2021 14:53

Lots of crunchy green veggies such as sugar snaps or tenderstem asparagus and an orange and walnut sauce.

BIWI · 24/03/2021 14:53

Orange and walnut sauce sounds nice - how do you make that?

(Thank you, btw!)

I love bok/pak choi (never know the difference between them) with duck. I struggle with sauce though as the traditional ones that go with duck are quite sweet aren't they

StuntNun · 24/03/2021 16:21

BIWI as you can see it's a very well used recipe. Blush

Guys, I have been a carby twat. Or rather, a chocolate twat. A third of a bag of dairy milk buttons before i even realised. Sodding hell someone slap me please.

Ninkanink · 24/03/2021 19:19

I would have one more button. Let it dissolve on your tongue and really enjoy the feel and taste.

Then put the rest of the bag away and don’t have any more.

ListenLinda · 24/03/2021 19:54

I bought them for the kids and was dividing them up, then just absent mindly started eating them. I havent done that since xmas time. What a numpty Sad
Hopefully it hasn’t done too much damage!

ListenLinda · 24/03/2021 19:55

They’re all gone now though, the kids saw to that! Grin

Ninkanink · 24/03/2021 19:57

Never mind! You’ll be fine. It’s really less about the one thing you ate and more about avoiding another, and then some of this, and then some of that.

ListenLinda · 24/03/2021 20:01

Good point @Ninkanink Smile

BustleInYourHedgerow · 24/03/2021 20:02

@BIWI I had stir fried pak choi and baby corn with duck last week. Fried in sesame oil with some ginger garlic and chilli and soy sauce.

OK @ListenLinda you did well to only eat half . And throw the rest away or give to a hungry child Wink

B : Scrambled eggs and spinach, 2 slices ham and some leftover mozzarella
L: crab with mayo, lettuce and a broghie
D: prawn and chicken jambalaya with griddled aubergine and roast cauliflower
Half a stick of celery dipped in a teaspoon of peanut butter
One cup of tea with cream
73 black coffees
3 + litres of water ( got to 3 around 4 o'clock clock and stopped counting)

7k run
Cycled to dentist (only 5k round trip)

StuntNun · 24/03/2021 20:08

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 24/03/2021 20:09

Didn't get an audition for a production of Macbeth I applied for, even though I've done Macbeth twice. SadConfusedHmmShockAngry

Doilooklikeatourist · 24/03/2021 20:15

Sorry to hear that Sad I've been a bit quiet, very very stressed with work and its given me dreadful backache and neck ache. Currently lying on a shakti mat. Going to try and book a week off over Easter.
Bestbees · 24/03/2021 21:18

Flowers @GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal

Didbt eat before jab. Had delicious dinner of beef cheeks slow cooked with five spice, garlic and ginger. Fried bok choy and various other veg. Greek yog. Feel knackered but not sure if that is jab or stressful work day related. Might eat more yoghurt whilst relaxing in front of the telly.
@Ninkanink wise words on the its not whta you eat, but whether you are able to stop point.

Doilooklikeatourist · 24/03/2021 21:22

💐@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal
💐@Bestbees I felt exhausted 26 hours after my jab ( yes , I did count ) I was fine until then , and it was nothing an early night didn’t sort out
Glad you’ve been jabbed , let’s hope the jabbing continues

BustleInYourHedgerow · 24/03/2021 21:25

Not really stunt. Possibly 6 or 7... have to cut back on the coffee but man it's hard

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal sorry you didn't get audition

@bestbees hopefully you don't feel too rough after the vaccine. Get plenty of rest
