Morning all. Sorry for the late start to the thread, but I slept in. Then hungry cats had to be fed before I could deal with this!

Anyway here's the spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

Hopefully all good news to report - but never fear, if last week hasn't been great, you still have a few days left to sort that.

Looks like it's going to be a more settled week weather-wise, and hopefully we really will be seeing more and more signs of spring to cheer us all up.

Here's to a great last week Flowers

That's bullying that is. I have just as much right to post here as anyone else. And everyone knows that MilesJupp is no better than she ought to be.

nowlook · 22/03/2021 18:06

Get over it Shag! 52% of us voted for Cathy. You lost!

I'm organising a Free The Twatty One protest tomorrow in that little gap between Neighbours and Home and Away, if anyone wants to join me. I'll not be wearing a muzzle mask. Or anything at all, actually.

Bestbees · 22/03/2021 18:38

This thread makes me laugh everyday!

Koko here. Well done to those with losses both great and small. I am with those for whom there has been no great weight loss, but have had mind shifts, healthy outcomes and have enjoyed all the food and camaraderie.

I am doing a super strict last week. I am fasting quite a lot too, but won't go into here out of fear of @BIWI big stick. And possibly CarbyCathy too Grin

Today had been a omad day so have had left over bits:aubergine lasagne, celeriac chips, buttery broc and cauli. Mayo for the chips. Bowl of Greek yog and mixed spice. Absolutely stuffed! Will run when it settles and do my exercise challenge too.

Hopeislost · 22/03/2021 18:48

@StuntNun I love my Chillys bottle - it keeps water ice cold for hours! I bought one for my mum and she takes it out on long walks filled with hot tea!

prettybird · 22/03/2021 18:56

Pretty earrings Stuntnun Smile

I have a Chilly's bottle (Christmas present from dh) and a pretty flowery one (Christmas present from ds). Honestly can't say that I notice the difference Hmm although the cardboard tube that the Chilly's bottle came in has come in useful for storing DPNs Wink

Dailyhandtowelwash · 22/03/2021 19:02

Food today:

Lunch: two slices SLC toast with butter and Marmite (feeling proud that I remembered to ‘cook’!)
Dinner: poached halibut in red wine, bacon and mushroom sauce, celeriac purée and buttered leeks

I’m very much trying to keep my red meat to a minimum at the moment and am feeling quite proud of myself that I’ve been mostly pescatarian for the last few days. Going to try to keep it up.

BustleInYourHedgerow · 22/03/2021 19:26

Thanks @stuntnun . Will KOKO for sure but have been on a slippery slope with cream adding it to my tea and coffee so will try to limit that to once a day maybe.

B: avocado
L: Fried leeks, mushrooms and spinach, tiny amount of grated cheddar topped with 2 fried eggs
D: pork fillet with celeriac mash, leeks fried in butter, roasted asparagus and purple sprouting broccoli

Many black coffees
1 cup of tea with a dash of cream
3 + litres of water

7k run

Just popping on to say that Heinz tomato soup with no added sugar only has 10g of carbs per can ! I know it's processed and not ideal BUT it's my favourite comfort food when I'm ill and I'm very happy 😊 that abs some melted cheese on a SLC roll and I'm in heaven.

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 22/03/2021 19:51

@ShagMeRiggins thank you for defending me against this ONSLAUGHT of bullying.

nowlook · 22/03/2021 19:54

We didn't fight the Germans to pander to snowflakes like you @MilesJuppIsMyBitch.

You want everything on a plate. Which, come to think of it, seems fairly reasonable, doesn't it?

I will give you a fiver if you put that on the vegetarian recipe thread Grin
Jellycatspyjamas · 22/03/2021 20:15

I made a chicken curry tonight using Tesco’s masaman curry paste - quite carby at 20g a jar but it made enough for 5 serving (4 people tonight and lunch tomorrow) so proportionately not bad. Very tasty - not hot so much but very fragrant. The sauce was nice and thick too so quite filing.

Good day today, managed to avoid Cathy Twat Wink

Ooohh that's something to add to my weekend lunches. Though I'd sprinkle the cheese on the soup (rebel) and butter the roll.

I took the peanut butter cookies to work (after checking no one had a nut allergy) and they went down very well. People are always bringing things so it's nice to have something I can join in with. Also have a few coeliac colleagues and they can eat these.

I really was full all day from my veg fest last night, so only had creamy coffee for breakfast and 3 (small) peanut butter cookies at work. DH made my meatball recipe for dinner so had that with buttered courgette and spinach for dinner.

Not had enough water though.

FusionChefGeoff · 22/03/2021 20:29

Love Cathy Twat Grin

In the interests of portion assessment here is my dinner.

Chilli (braising beef, shallots, red / yellow / green pepper, celery (all fried in lashings of rapeseed oil) 1 tin toms, no kidney beans), cauli rice, mushrooms in chilli oil, cheese, sour cream, guacamole.

So the salad and that is the only food - no snacks!

I am bored now and want food but have a peppermint tea instead as I am definitely not hungry.

Week 10 - Low Carb Bootcamp - the finishing line!

Gosh you lot make me LOL! Tomato Soup!

StuntNun I have a real Chilly's bottle and the DCs have Matalan rip offs and they both seem to keep things pretty cold. I am a Camelbak aficionado though and they have recent brought out an insulated version of the Chute bottle which I really recommend, but you may prefer the Chilly's styling Grin

D - Beef strips in fajita spices stir fried with peppers, shallots and ts broccoli with grated cheddar and Greek yogurt.

PS that was a LOL for the general chat about tomato soup not the soup itself which I agree is a fantastic addition to my BC repertoire.

Sorry to burst that happy bubble, but it's 10.1g carbs per half can!

Morning all. My new scales showed a much more reasonable weight of 10.2. It also measure body fat percentage, and mine was on the low end of normal, and body water percentage - and mine was on the low side, which is odd bearing in mind how much of the stuff I drink! Apparently it can be a side effect of low muscle mass, though, and I am pretty feeble.

(Yes, I know I said I was going to stop obsessing about numbers, but...new scales)
