Morning all.

So we're entering the last four weeks. Still time to lose a good few pounds before we reach the end.

here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I can see already that we've had some great results, and look forward to seeing/hearing about the rest!

@Jiminny
I've done that before! And bloody onions.

Personally, I find yoghurt too stressful Grin

To get the carbs low enough, you need that full fat Greek stuff which comes in a massive pot.

I tend not to bother with breakfast, but if I do, mushroom and cheese omelette is the thing.

Yesterday was my eldest's school leavers' drive thru ceremony Hmm

Followed by a barbecue. Did great on the food but had all the wine, so not sure why you'd take advice from me 🤣🤣

Jiminny · 11/07/2020 09:29

@nowlook 😂😂

"Yesterday was my eldest's school leavers' drive thru ceremony" GrinGrinI cannot being to imagine that one nowlook

BIWI · 11/07/2020 09:50

@Jiminny
How much do you weigh/how much weight do you want to lose?

@BrassicaBabe
It was hilarious. We all had to park up in the carpark of our local rugby club and stay in our cars. We were then sent a YouTube link to a photo slideshow. The headmaster read out the pupils and prizes. When it was your child's turn, you popped your car boot and they put your gift bag in (hoodie; framed photo of school building Confused). A photo of the child through the window was taken. Then, to show appreciation, we had to flash our lights and put our wipers on.

You couldn't script it. Apart from someone actually did.

BIWI · 11/07/2020 10:15

@cad186

Last bootcamp I really focused and went from about 10st 4 to 9st 5. Between bootcamps I was between 9st 5 and 9st 7 but since starting this bootcamp I am down to 9st 2, not a huge amount but I haven't got much to lose now really. Was hoping to get down to 9st by the end of bootcamp so it will be tight whether I get there but to be honest I'm pretty happy where I am now, another few pounds isnt really going to make a difference. Just wanted to say a huge thank you for these threads and all the knowledge and information everyone shares, I don't say much but I always read everything and I am really grateful for all the effort that is put in, thank you!
Sounds like you've been doing really well, both generally but also on this Bootcamp! Still enough time to lose another couple of pounds - great stuff Flowers

And I'm glad you've come out from the Lurking Shadows! Grin

That is just hilarious! But 10/10 for effort I guess - very best of luck for August results, and hope they get to move on ok to next stage...

Thank you BIWI for site link on puy lentils. I confess also the packet was 6 months out of date and I think the range has now re-branded to Good Health, but still a good example that even the mighty W can be prone to the odd slip ups in the 100g values game! Grin

Jiminny · 11/07/2020 12:10

@BIWI I'm 14 stone and would like to be (maybe one day) 9 and a half (I'm 5'4") Although to be frank I'd be grateful for anything in between.

OVienna · 11/07/2020 12:51

Can I join?

8Track · 11/07/2020 13:24

Of course @OVienna! (Not that I am keeper of the Bootcamp, but wanted to be welcoming!) At the top of the thread is a link to the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness which has all the veg carb counts which I find extremely useful. The Rules are on the top of the Week 2 thread to have a read through.

If in doubt, water, water water!!

8Track · 11/07/2020 13:27

Also, I had THE BEST takeaway last night. I'd planned it for 2 days and tried a new place - looking for something delish and low carb. Menu below, for your drooling and delectation..........

nowlook · 11/07/2020 14:11

@8Track
That looks heavenly! One of the disadvantages of living in the sticks is that we can't access that even in a no-Covid world!

Just eat has one restaurant that serves our postcode Grin

BIWI · 11/07/2020 14:14

Oooh @8Track you must live near me! Cedar is one of our favourite restaurants.

Glad your dc got some kind of send off brassica, such a shame the year 6’s and 12’s have missed out.

Welcome ohvienna!

Polishing my halo again today. We have a local doughnut company who have branched out into ice cream, so doughnut cones with Mr Whippy. Took dd and her friend and wasn’t even tempted. And I adore ice cream so this is a big deal. Free pizza too which I ignored, but bought some home for dd.

How everyone is having a good Saturday, weather nicer here today

nowlook · 11/07/2020 14:38

@Rshard that was me with the mad drive thru experience. For DS1 finishing primary (prep school). Only in Derbyshire, right? There were 6s and 8s being, erm, honoured 🤣

nowlook · 11/07/2020 14:39

@Rshard
Tell me about this doughnut company...

ealingwestmum · 11/07/2020 15:01

Apologies nowlook, made the assumption your DC were finishing Y13. That's me spending too much time on Education board reading about possible impacts to Y11 and 13s!

nowlook · 11/07/2020 15:03

@ealingwestmum
Not at all! It was lovely of you to wish him well. As It happens, he just had to do his Common Entrance 13 plus. We were sent the papers a week in advance. He did terribly well.

ealingwestmum · 11/07/2020 15:46

That's a lovely outcome to a difficult school year nowlook, hope the new school gets to welcome him all in Sept with relative normality.

Off for a 2-day UK break this week, first time out of London like probably most of us out of our homes in absolute ages. Wondering how inappropriate it would be to sneak a bottle of extra virgin oil and parmesan in my luggage. I don't seem to be able to eat my veg without it anymore!

nowlook · 11/07/2020 15:52

Where are you off to @ealingwestmum?

I travel for work and take olive and truffle oil everywhere (and I don't have a dodgy massage business).

Sorry to sound like a country mouse, but do you live near Ealing Broadway? I love it there!

8Track · 11/07/2020 15:54

@nowlook The village I grew up in (and where my parents still live!) has no takeaways at all which deliver - I feel that pain.

Oh gosh @BIWI, I've gone all fan girly that I might live near you! It was indeed delicious - I had leftover moussaka and labneh with pickles for lunch. It's definitely going to be a new go to for us. And our lovely dog was delighted by the piece of pitta bread that all the lamb shawarma fat had soaked into - a quick way for me to take temptation away.

ealingwestmum · 11/07/2020 16:05

Hehe, now I don't feel so bad. Oils are so damn versatile Grin

Off to the Cheltenham visiting a few of mine and DH's old village favourites. I'm a brummie but lived just outside Broadway in the late 1990's.

And yes, am very near the other E Broadway!

ealingwestmum · 11/07/2020 16:31

Crikey. No idea what's up with my english today.

That menu does look lovely. I previously used to prefer a sauce to everything or veer towards wet curries but now lebanese/persian food (which Ealing is blessed with many of) is so much more appealing since being able to add a great dollop of greek yogurt if needed!

Rshard · 11/07/2020 16:59

Ah sorry to get you mixed up nowlook and brassica!

It’s called Project Doughnut nowlook. Congrats to your ds for smashing his entrance exam too!

Bit jealous of your days away ealingwestmum, have a lovely time!
