Week 2 - May '18 Low Carb Bootcamp - my favourite week!

Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet

I love this week, seeing how much weight people lose, and especially as it's always such a surprise for newbies and those who feared that this WOE wouldn't work!

I hope you've all seen good results.

If you haven't - don't despair, but have a think about the week just gone. Look at what you were eating/drinking and consider how well you followed Bootcamp rules.

Any problems, as ever, post them on the thread.

Iamnotacerealkiller thanks for posting a screenshot, I definitely find stuff like that motivating so I think I'll be copying you Grin It's easy to forget how far you've come and if you have a blip it can threaten to balls it all up, but looking at the bigger picture can be REALLY helpful. Thanks

SummerRayne17 · 22/05/2018 13:20

@Eolian thanku! Lol

Iamnotacerealkiller · 22/05/2018 13:29

keep on keeping on

Waswittyonce · 22/05/2018 13:47

I too like the sound of your spreadsheet @Iamnotacerealkiller Smile
Trots off to make a copy

ajandjjmum · 22/05/2018 13:49

I am sleeping so well (despite the inevitable visit to the bathroom) and dreaming loads!

I know several other people have mentioned this - wonder what causes it?

OrlandaFuriosa · 22/05/2018 13:59

Aromatic spices, thank you so much. I’m Rennied and Gavosconed up to the eyeballs.

Iamnotacerealkiller · 22/05/2018 14:00

Shall i try and set up a blank on and send it to anyone interested? hmm that likely wont work because of individual weights and circumstances.

...would it be helpful to send mine over so you can see it in more detail and you can do your own? is it possible to send spreadsheets attached or could do a close up jpg...have attached a bigger one so you can see more detail. i have abbreviated the weights so instead of 14st1 ive just put 141 just to confuse you :) obviously you can write what ever unit you want how you want.

the dark red boxes are my weight, the gaps are when i was too ashamed to weight myself. the top row is date but because i was trying to save space i didn't bother putting in the month apart from first letter so A for april.

Went to Sainsbury’s to look at the clothes sale and the small one demanded to go to the cafe. She had a kids lunchbox meal (at 9.45) and I had all the many low carb delights on offer - a black coffee 😂.

Bought some lovely belly pork that I had for lunch though, going to have chicken in creamy mushroom sauce with courgettes tonight.

DramaAlpaca · 22/05/2018 16:20

RedPandaMama I'm a couple of inches taller than you & weigh the same as you do now. My ultimate goal weight is also 11 stone, but I'd be happy enough at 12.

blackteaplease · 22/05/2018 16:48

I'm feeling inspired by all the running chat and have decided to give it a go myself. First run tonight, wish me luck.

ajandjjmum · 22/05/2018 16:52

Good luck blacktea - I'm not a fan of slimming groups, but this thread is really motivational.

Thanks everyone for all the sharing and support!

Rshard · 22/05/2018 17:03

Well done blacktea, what are you planning to do? Couch to 5k is very good if you’re new to running

maxthemartian · 22/05/2018 17:07

Day six for me and keto flu has hit!
Started feeling really bleurgh at lunchtime - faint, shaky, brain not really processing. Basically feel starving even though I'm eating enough, but not in a hungry way if that makes sense, just in a weak and shaky way.

I've done all the sensible stuff - plenty of water (soooo much water), himalayan pink salt, sugar-free electrolytes, plenty of fat.... I suppose I just need to wait it out and hope that it passes shortly.

I'd thought I'd avoided it as well.

Justmuddlingalong · 22/05/2018 17:16

DP, after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes yesterday, has been convinced to try this WOE. He's drawing the line at being on the spreadsheet though. Grin

AromaticSpices · 22/05/2018 17:25

Hold on in there maxthemartin Flowers

blackteaplease · 22/05/2018 17:27

I have downloaded the c25k app to help me along. I have ran a couple of 5k runs in the dim and distant past but nothing for years so thought I would start at the beginning again.

maxthemartian · 22/05/2018 17:30

Thank you AromaticSpices the encouragement helps!

Justmuddling I really hope this helps him, will be so interesting to see if it gets him back in the normal range.

I would like to start running again as well once I feel a bit better. I used to enjoy doing a slow stately few kms but it's been a while so the c25k app might be a good idea.

ajandjjmum · 22/05/2018 17:37

Justmuddling
I started my original LC diet a couple of years ago, when I was on the cusp of diabetes, and over three months got back in to the 'normal' range through diet.

It scared the pants off me! I was so motivated until I got the next result - but had back-slid considerably.

Hopefully your DH will benefit - and have better staying power than me. Grin

Justmuddlingalong · 22/05/2018 17:43

He says thanks for all the advice. I do the cooking, so...Wink

BrassicaBabe · 22/05/2018 17:44

Messing with my own before and after pics. Although the now too big swim suits don't do me any favours....

Justmuddlingalong · 22/05/2018 17:48

Wow. Well done @BrassicaBabe. Am just about to take DP's before picture. Grin

TimeIhadaNameChange · 22/05/2018 17:52

Wow, Brassica, you look great! What a change! What's the weight difference?

ScreamingValenta · 22/05/2018 17:59

Brassica you look stunning! Time to treat yourself to a smaller cozzie, I think!

Lonesurvivor · 22/05/2018 18:04

3stonedown and anyone else interested in spreadsheet and indeed daily weighers,
Download the Libra app. You input your weight daily. It does graphs and trends for you which can be exported.
It's really easy to use and very handy to see your trending weight if you're prone to fluctuations and get disheartened if the scales move up a little.

Rshard · 22/05/2018 18:06

You look fab brassica!

The app is great black, it definitely works
