Wow! This is the first time I've had to start a second thread this early!

Please continue to post all your meals, ideas, questions, woes, successes etc here!

I'm currently on a train Oop North with very dodgy wifi so can't guarantee I will see or be able to answer all your questions, but I'll do my best.

Also, tomorrow I'm at a funeral Sad so won't be around very much

oh, blacktea, that's annoying! So many people use the spreadsheet that I've tried reversing the changes, but there have been too many to get back to the point where you were on!

Have re-added your names, but I'm afraid you'll have to put your weights back in.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 19/05/2018 07:08

If anyone is trying to add their name - do please put it at the bottom and I'll re-alphabetise it later. I think this may be why a couple of people disappeared!

AthelstaneTheUnready · 19/05/2018 07:09

Congratulations, Luki - another one here very proud to have avoided the wine. Even if I did have to cheat by going to bed really early.

blackteaplease · 19/05/2018 07:11

Thanks Athelstane luckily I have an obsessive personality so can remember my start weight.

Well done Luki on avoiding the wine, habits are hard to break. I had a wobble due to habit then remembered my wobbly bits and stick to fizzy water and pork scratchings.

Bluntness100 · 19/05/2018 07:20

Morning all. I can't believe how fast this is moving!

Kokoing here. 😁

LeapinLizards · 19/05/2018 07:24

Found you all- and already 8 pages in! I couldn't keep up with the old one & already struggling here. It's brilliant to read all your posts & a few whooshes of loss already. This is my 2nd BC (first one Jan) & i have slipped into the bad habit of making the same meals over & over. Your varied menus are making me think I need to shake things up a bit.

Rshard · 19/05/2018 07:26

Morning all

Well done to those who avoided wine and to rayna on that 5k time, so fast!

BIWI · 19/05/2018 08:10

@RuffleBelly

Don't worry - it could have been a lot worse! At least you stuck to LCHF stuff!

But you do need to start planning a bit more - why not make something like a tray of savoury muffins, so there's always one in the fridge to grab on occasions like that? They're really easy to make - there's probably a recipe (or two) on the vegetarian and meat threads.

If I were making some from scratch, this is what I'd do:

Finely chop and then fry some bacon/ham/chorizo/leftover pork belly/cooked chicken (delete as applicable/what you have to hand!), along with some finely chopped shallots. If you like, you could add some garlic and chilli too.

Add any other veg you have to hand - if it's raw veg, cook this with the meat/shallot mixture until it's tender. Season well with salt and black pepper.

If you like, add a generous handful of grated cheese.

Divide this into the 12 holes of a muffin tin (if you have a non-stick one, put it straight in, otherwise do it in cases).

Then beat 6 eggs (I think this will be enough, but be prepared to do more!) and then pour this into the holes in the tray till each one is about 7/8ths full. Then bake them in a medium hot oven, till they're set and browned on the top.

Can't remember how long they take, but it's not very long so keep an eye on them.

@Rayna37 that's a fantastic time - well done. I've my half marathon tomorrow but going to do it slow - 2.5hours or thereabouts .

Enjoying a coffee and cream and breakfast of yesterday's avocado salad. Yum!

Glad I'm not the only one with rotten breath - but think mine is more to do with raw shallots in my coleslaw Blush

RuffleBelly · 19/05/2018 08:20

@BIWI thank you that sounds delicious and easy to make so I'll try it. It sounds like good picnic food as we do tend to package up food and eat it out and about at weekends.

I am worried I've used this week to binge on cheese a bit but we will see what the scales say Monday. I have never been this long without Diet Coke and chocolate in my adult life before (even when I was slim or dieting) so it has been a big change.

@rayna that 5km time is really good! I'm just off for a 5km plod round Parkrun. I ran last night between cheese binges and didn't feel any lack of energy from the carbs but this morning I'm knackered having been battling a two year old on an anti-sleep crusade all night.

I did have breakfast about 7am - scrambled egg, low carb sausage, rasher of bacon and some mushrooms fried in butter. All very delicious but feel very unhealthy - my normal weekend breakfast is a bit of Almond butter on a slice of sourdough!

BIWI · 19/05/2018 08:21

It's very counter-intuitive, but it does work - honest!

Morning everyone, happy weekend. Well done everyone who avoided wine last night.

Last night was dinner hurriedly grabbed from KFC. I only had chicken which I picked as much coating off as possible. Not exactly healthy but how bad on the carb front do you think?

I get the weird teeth as well, they feel like they're covered in fur! Drinking more water helps but I didn't drink anywhere near enough yesterday.

We're having lunch at my mums today while watching the wedding so hopefully there will be things I can pick. No wine because I'm driving so that's something at least.

KOKO everyone.

Rshard · 19/05/2018 08:33

Good luck for your half marathon farine

Laska5772 · 19/05/2018 08:35

another good day yesterday. . am going to a 40th birthday party this evening , am driving so cant drink an d happy to stick to fizzy water ice and lime ..There will be a buffet . .i'm not expecting to be able to eat any of it!. however will have something before i go instead..

Am really happy on this WOE so far, and have a powerful incentive of needing to put on the bikini in 4 weeks !

TimeIhadaNameChange · 19/05/2018 08:52

Good luck on the half marathon, farine! Enjoy!!!

JuneBalloon · 19/05/2018 09:00

Straight into a confession - I had a gin and slimline tonic. And then another one. It was my reward for not succumbing to temptation during the week. But I've already been punished as I was robbed of a good nights sleep and lie in (dry throat and slight headache woke me up at 5:30 am). Gone are the days when a bottle of wine would barely touch the sides.

However, I'm doing well on the food side of the diet...

oldbirdy · 19/05/2018 09:01

Carb flu has hit here. Bleargh.

3stonedown · 19/05/2018 09:17

rayna very envious of your 5k, my PB is 34 so really slow but only started running Jan so I'm sure it will improve in time.

I can see my collar bones this morning which hasn't happened in about 4 years Blush

Had a big breakfast today of yog, bacon and fried eggs, to fill me up. Going to a BBQ today but don't know the host very well so not sure what there will be for me to eat other than meat.

Chattycatty · 19/05/2018 09:35

I’m out all day today I know it’s going to be boozy decided on vodka and soda just have to take the hit and back on track tomorrow my question is how carby is lime cordial?

UnimaginativeUsername · 19/05/2018 09:39

Morning all. I’m feeling better today I think.

I had boiled eggs and bacon for breakfast, and now I’m enjoying the sunshine while DS2 has a snowboard lesson.

MrsBertBibby · 19/05/2018 09:39

Very, It's loaded with sugar!

blackteaplease · 19/05/2018 09:40

I'm loving all the meal logging, it's so inspirational. Today's meals
B. 3 egg scramble and chorizo
L. Tuna salad
S. Yogurt
D? I've promised to take dc out for tea after her ballet exam so I will have to see what's available. Not planning on a lapse though and I will have emergency snacks just in case.

Er, those who have fallen off the booze wagon already watch out for BIWI and her big stick.

farine · 19/05/2018 09:41

@Chattycatty could you ask for fresh lime?

Thanks for good wishes for tomorrow, normally carb load before a long run so will be interesting to see how I go.

farine · 19/05/2018 09:43

@3stonedown - I'm sure there will be salad so maybe load up on that and ask for some olive oil and douse it in that to get fat content up?

antimatter · 19/05/2018 09:44

@Chattycatty add lemon or lime to that vodka soda. Cordiala are full of sugar.
