Morning campers Flowers

Here's the SoF

From last week's thread it sounds like most people are managing to stick on track for most of the time, which is great.

We have four full weeks left, so still time to make a big difference.

Hope this week goes well.

@starsky22

What did you do here?

poorbuthappy · 21/11/2017 16:38

Hello everyone - I'm gonna rename myself Period Whinger as I am here again....
Come on again today, having only finished last Monday.
I am getting a little bit hacked off now - I've done some of my own research and understand why it's happening, but trying to find out at what point I may go back to normal is proving difficult.
Any anecdotal evidence from anyone about how long this WOE can mess with your hormonal system?

KOKO everyone!

wombattoo · 21/11/2017 17:49

Hello everyone
I'm just running in to congratulate you all on the losses, the running, the inspiration and positivity you have all shown Thanks Bloody amazing.

I have a lot going on but still try and keep up with the thread when I can.

DrDiva · 21/11/2017 18:53

timbuktu you were right - olives remained firmly separated from all else. Actually, I found a platter of ham and stuff so ended up having tapas-y lunch.

Congratulations to all the losses, target-reaching and exercise! Most inspiring! Flowers

Almahart · 21/11/2017 18:56

BIWI · 21/11/2017 19:00

Another one just running in to say 'bloody well done'! There's some amazing stuff going on here.

Life is getting the way a bit for me too, which is nice on the one hand, but frustrating on the other! I had reached Week 3 of C25K before I went on holiday, but didn't do anything when I was away (way too hot and humid!); and work has been crazy busy so I haven't been able to get up early and go for a run.

I might be able to go tomorrow, but I think I might struggle with week 3. Might have to back to week 2. Or start week 3 and see how I get on.

Exciting things to do with cauli rice

Can't remember who asked this, but I make a version of couscous or egg fried rice with mine.

For couscous, cook your cauli rice, and then stir into it appropriately Moroccan-type veg and herbs (avoiding things like apricot, raisins/sultanas and pomegranate though!). So finely chopped shallots and peppers, lemon or lime juice, chilli/paprika, fresh coriander and mint. Serve it with some natural yoghurt.

For egg fried rice:

Fry chopped shallots in plenty of oil - coconut would be perfect - then add the cauliflower and stir fry till it's cooked through (just a few minutes). Make a hole in the middle of the cauli rice in the centre of the pan; add a bit more oil, and while it's heating up, whisk an egg and pour this into the centre. Let it sit for a while till it starts to set into a thin omelette, then stir it so it scrambles slightly and stir into the cauli rice.

For colour, you could add a (small) handful of peas, as long as you're not strict Bootcamp.

Treated myself to a toasted lidl roll for lunch, with butter and cheese.

Wow, I've had to keep running to the loo thus afternoon Blush

YoLoElfSocks · 21/11/2017 20:23

Another one to say fantastic losses and runs!! I'm in awe of the runners especially.

My boobs are too big to do any sort of bouncy exercise. Well, that's my excuse.

I've been better this week so far with the water. Hoping to see that it makes a difference. Also fruit teas.

Thiswillbemyusername · 21/11/2017 20:26

Congrats everyone! You're all doing so well Flowers

Just popping in to log today's meals

I've exercised today too and my legs are so tired

princessbear80 · 21/11/2017 20:40

Logging today’s food:
B - boiled eggs with butter, creamy coffee
L - lamb shish, salad, tzatziki at the local Turkish kebab shop
D - two chicken thighs with skin, buttery spinach
Loads of water throughout the day.

cherries amazing run! I remember the feeling of first time running a 5k. You’ll be hooked!

ilovecherries · 21/11/2017 20:43

Yolo, I started at 36K!! I'm now a 34J but for the first time my sports bra can cope with the job.

Grah0SoontobeaFitty · 21/11/2017 20:48

ASDismynormality
Welcome to ONEDERLAND

Well done ilovecherries on the running.

Got a surprise on the scale today 194.7 after yesterdays 197.6
Only differences was remembered to take the magnesium, plus other vitamins and drank 3 liters of fluid.

Well on the way to repeating the fluid again today.

Gammeldragz · 21/11/2017 21:42

ilovecherries well done on the run! I did c25k about 5 years ago, couldn't run at all before and was amazed when it worked and I ran the race for life without stopping.
Then I stopped running Blush I never actually enjoyed it, I get too red raced and uncomfortable.

Swimming is my exercise of choice. But less accessible and not free!

Gammeldragz · 21/11/2017 21:43

grab that's an impressive whoosh, Sir!

Wh0KnowsWhereTheTimeG0es · 21/11/2017 22:21

Evening all,

B. spinach/mushroom/cheese omelette (1 egg)
L. tuna mayo salad
D. Lidl protein roll with egg mayo and bacon, tasted amazing.

Water. 3.25L
Snacks: square of dark chocolate and a dairylea triangle.

I have stocked up on the protein rolls after yesterday's lapse into normal bread.

Well done to all the runners! I used to run, but I have prolapses and it isn't advised, unless you take it very carefully, I dance instead, but I miss the running.

RaininSummer · 21/11/2017 22:25

Had a minor blip involving some chocolate and some chili rice crackers. This was through meal screw ups and poor planning. Over it now though. Still it is the first real carb twattery from me since last May. I am still finding it very hard to drink enough water now its cold.

SoMuchToBits · 21/11/2017 22:33

Rain, when it's cold and you don't want cold water, you could try a hot water with a squeeze of lemon, or a hot water with a quarter teaspoon of marmite to help increase your water intake.

starsky22 · 21/11/2017 22:46

Pimmsy We did a lot of walking, seeing all the sights, went to the Musee d'Orsay and some shopping at Galeries Lafayette, but my main aim was to eat all the amazing french food, so we ate at Sacree Fleur, Le Dame de Pic (thanks for the rec was very nice) and La Regalade Conservatoire, plus had eclairs from Eclair de Genie and macarons from Pierre Herme. Was a quick visit, so didn't get to do everything I wanted, wish I could go back again soon!

RaininSummer · 21/11/2017 23:19

Thanks re water tips. Will try that more. In the summer it's easy to gulp down large glasses in one go but so hard now.

prettybird · 21/11/2017 23:24

Raininsummer - I now have to pour myself a pint of water and leave it out on the counter to "warm" up, at which point I can glug it down. I also naturally want to drink more herb tea to warm me up - like peppermint and liquorice. It'll soon be cold enough for me to want the lemon and ginger or the gingerbread tea! Grin I'm told that even grated real ginger into hot water is good - but I've not tried that yet!

Grah0SoontobeaFitty · 21/11/2017 23:42

@RaininSummer
Cold??? [Smile] -14c here wind chill near -30 some days. But water up due to central heating bding on everywhere. Using old vodka bottle and large beer bottle at work for measuring water. 2.25 It's

If the third bottle isn't empty gulp it down before i leave.

Thanks ragz went on quicker over the week so hoping to drop back to 192 or lower by Monday. 180 is target then expect to float +/- 7lb if I get the macros right in maintenance. 4 bootcamps I think to lose the last45lb with some yoyoing

YoLoElfSocks · 22/11/2017 00:08

grah i am now imagining you glugging water straight from a vodka bottle at work and your colleagues staring at you! Well done on the whoosh.

Ilove i know I know. Excuses! Truth is I hate getting all sweaty. Must get to the gym this week.

Singadream · 22/11/2017 00:21

hi all, still here. Had a (not unexpected) gain last week unfortunately. Just updating spreadsheet now. Back on it with a vengeance this week though.

ASDismynormality · 22/11/2017 08:31

Bit of an odd one here! Erm, my hormones are certainly going a bit funny - yesterday when I took my bra off I noticed a drop of breastmilk on my nipple, upon investigation I can get milk out of both sides Blush. Does anyone know if LCHF can cause this?

YoLoElfSocks · 22/11/2017 08:41

ASD wow Shock i know this WOE can mess up your hormones but goodness me. Are you sure it was milk and not some other sort of discharge? Maybe a trip to the gp? Sorry not intending to worry you or anything! Best to get anything weird checked out.
