Morning campers Flowers

Here's the SoF

From last week's thread it sounds like most people are managing to stick on track for most of the time, which is great.

We have four full weeks left, so still time to make a big difference.

Hope this week goes well.

Thanks Prettybird for the support. I think complacency is my issue. Come the weekend I decide I’ll just have the weekend off! It never works for me. I had a good day yesterday and a pound is off this morning. I will koko - I do enjoy this way of eating and I do enjoy the thread x thanks again.

princessbear80 · 21/11/2017 10:50

Haven’t read the thread yet. Just wanted to say say thanks for help last week when I was feeling poorly. I survived without cheating! Weighed in, another 1.5lbs down. 12 in 5(?) weeks - I’m a week behind. Great woe. Will try to read and contribute to thread a bit more now OH is stable and life returns to normal!

KOKO

Well done cafe ilove and rshard.
Most of my gain has gone from the scales and I haven't had hunger, headaches or carb cravings after my carby weekend. I may actually be metabolically flexible now as my body seems to be able to switch back to fat burning pretty happily.

ilovecherries · 21/11/2017 11:09

I JUST RAN 5k!!!!!!!!! This is just about the most gobsmacking thing I have ever done. And while it's not winning any medals timewise, it was proper running. Me. I am nearly 60 and I can run. I am a runner. I'm someone who can move for pleasure, and not just necessity. I. CAN. RUN. And if I can do the 'impossible' and run, then I wonder how many other 'impossible' things I can do yet.

BlackMozart · 21/11/2017 11:13

Hi everyone. I confess to not having caught up at all on week 7 but I lost 1.25lbs this week which I am pleased with. Am off to the airport as am working away for next three days. Will do my best to stay on the path.
If someone could update the spreadsheet I’d be very grateful and later in the week I will catch myself up properly.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 21/11/2017 11:15

Well done, *ilove, that's bloody amazing! I'm hoping to be able to do that myself in a couple of months or so. You are my new role model!

ASDismynormality · 21/11/2017 11:24

Well done on the running ilove, great achievement!

I have finally hit the 100s, so bloody pleased with myself! It may well bounce back up again but sore it will stay down there permanently soon!

ClearEyesFullHearts · 21/11/2017 11:29

ASD, that's brilliant!

Rshard · 21/11/2017 11:36

Thanks yolo ragz

Well done on the 5k ilove, might you try a park run? I highly recommend.

asd, that’s amazing!

Kleptronic · 21/11/2017 11:40

Aw I'm so proud of you all! FlowersFlowersFlowers

pimmsy · 21/11/2017 12:17

@ASDismynormality

Fantastic... well done! What is that app?

Scabbersley · 21/11/2017 12:21

amazing ilove! I am hoping to do the same in the new year. I tried over the summer, but carrying an extra 1.5 stone did not help at all!! I am hoping once I get down to 11.7 I will start to find running a bit easier!

I was STARVING yesterday. Am aiming to eat a bit more today.

B: avocado and hard boiled eggs, both with that incredible mayonnaise, 2 x creamy coffee

L: konjac noodles, egg, broccoli and any other green veg I can find in the fridge with soy sauce, greek yogurt and raspberries

D: sausages - mash for the fam, cauli rice for me.

Any tips on jazzing up the cauliflower rice and sausage combo?? Its already sounding very boring :-/

ASDismynormality · 21/11/2017 12:24

Thanks all for your support, you've all made it so much easier Flowers

pimmsy. The app is called 'weight diary* , I weigh daily and love logging my weight on the app (most days!).

ilovecherries · 21/11/2017 12:25

ASD, that is fabulous. You really inspired me on the last bootcamp to believe change was possible.

Rshard, yes, my goal was a park run on 30 December, but I think now I may be able to tackle it before then :)

Rshard · 21/11/2017 12:32

That’s fab ilove, they really are great fun. Let us know!

FurryTurnip · 21/11/2017 12:34

Wow, only been away for 24 hours and some amazing successes! Well done ASD! That must be a welcome sight!

Rshard welcome to the tens! Neither of us far off now. I know you are in East Midlands too- met a friend for lunch in Nottingham yesterday at Delilah deli - was fab for low carb if you ever want a treat. Lots of meat, cheese and antipasti platters. I had a gorgeous frittata with kale, Harissa and goats cheese with salad.

Ilove congratulations on your 5k. That's amazing! I am part of a running group and sometimes help out with the beginners C25k group. It is really brilliant to see people go from walking with short stretches of running, then just a few weeks later they do the full 5K and are so thrilled to have done it. Plus the realisation that to be a runner you don't have to be young, thin or fast. If you run, you're a runner! Well done.

B: fasted ( went for run)
L: broccoli and stilton soup with half protein roll
D: egg mayo salad as my fridge is full of boiled eggs

DrDiva · 21/11/2017 13:31

Hello all, am still here. Just really stupidly busy. At least I don’t have time to snack!!

Rshard · 21/11/2017 13:31

Thanks furry. Good tip about Delilah, thanks. Spooky but I was in Nottingham with dh yesterday we had breakfast as Bills. That frittata sounds good!

pimmsy · 21/11/2017 13:33

@Scabbersley

Could you make cauli-rice "burgers"?

Either mix with grated cheddar ( or another sharp cheese) and grainy mustard and grill little mounds in the oven in a muffin dish

Or mix with some cream cheese and smoked paprika and an egg and fry in a pan?

Or whizz up some mushrooms garlic and sage and bacon in a food processor into a fine paste and mix with the cauli-rice and make mushroom cauli-rice burgers

Or mix it with some lemon zest and thyme and stock and parmesan and make a sort of fake polenta paste and dry it out a bit in the oven

Fry it in some sesame oil and add some orange/clementine rind a bit of soy sauce and top with some toasted flaked almonds

Mimosa1 · 21/11/2017 13:45

Wow pimmsy all of those sound amazing!

WELL DONE Ilove !! I tried c25k a couple of years ago and never got past week one. I've been meaning to try again once the days are a bit lighter and the baby sleeps through the night so I'm not so bloody exhausted and feel a bit safer (the best route is along a canal that's a bit dodgy after nightfall). You're an inspiration!

My NSV is that I bought some (loosely cut) trousers in size 16 and they are now too big so off to the charity shop Grin

DrDiva · 21/11/2017 13:51

Do you think a cheese and olive omelette would work? Hmm Am off home for lunch and contemplating what is in the cupboards.

prettybird · 21/11/2017 14:24

All this talk of running is tempting me to go out again Smile

Don't think I've run this year, but I used to be a runner (I've even run 3 Marathons Shock) - but I hate re-starting again, as I don't actually "like" the run until about the 4 mile mark, and as I've got older, I do try to be sensible and build up slowly. My "starting" run is now about 1.7 miles, a circuit which takes me around the pond in the local park. Can't do the Park Runs because I like my bed too much ds has rugby and I need to support him and make the choc chip cookies for his team Wink

For the moment, I'm on Day 3 of JM's Ripped in 30. Hopefully the aerobic sections in that will mean that my heart and lungs don't object too much Grin

prettybird · 21/11/2017 14:28

...Day 3 of Level 3. Blush

Not looking forward to Level 4 next week. There are burpees involved ShockBlush

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 21/11/2017 14:29

Congrats Cherries and ASD! Well done to both of you.

I'm not convinced by a cheese and olive omelette to be honest. I think I'd rather have a cheese omelette and just eat the olives!

starsky22 · 21/11/2017 14:30

Cafe Well done on losing a stone! Star

ASD That is amazing, well done! Star

I'm still here, put on 2lbs this week, not surprising after the amount I ate and drank in Paris, but it was soooo worth it! Back to low carb now and hoping to lose the extra lbs quickly.
