Morning all Flowers

Here's the spreadsheet of fabulousness for you all

Many thanks to wombattoo and SayrraT for keeping the threads going while I was away.

Lots of people talking about how to deal with future events, especially Christmas, and this is something that's really important to think about. This is a tough time of year for low carbing. But it's also a tough time of year if you can't squeeze into your partywear - so you need to decide which is more important. Those roast potatoes or looking good Wink

Good luck everyone

Grin Gail's photo

I got some psyllium from Amazon yesterday with the intention to try out the recipe sometime this week. Will upload my efforts as well!

Almahart · 18/11/2017 15:21

I need help!!!!

I feel like I'm sort of giving up as an in my old comfort weight of a few years ago ie could lose half a stone but reasonably happy. I've lost 9ins this BC which is amazing but I have done this before and put it all back on

So I am becoming complacent and thinking well maybe I should just go into maintenance whereas actually I WOULD like to lose that extra half a stone I've always had

So that is my round about way of saying for reasons I don't quite understand I had a pizza and a glass of wine for lunch Shock

I think my only hope is to religiously list everything I eat here for you lot to inspect

GailLondon · 18/11/2017 15:22

Fingers crossed you got a good batch of psyllium!

Almahart · 18/11/2017 15:22

Have lost 9 ibs not 9ins!

Almahart · 18/11/2017 15:39

Okay I think this is going to work - I nearly had a square of dark chocolate but realised I'd have to report it to you lot so thought better of it!

Rshard · 18/11/2017 16:06

A 9lbs loss is amazing alma, you’ve done really well. We’ve not many weeks left now, we’ve made the big adjustment to a new woe. You’ve got this. The support on this thread is superb, the encouragement guaranteed.

ASDismynormality · 18/11/2017 17:32

scabbers have you tried Naproxen for the plantar fasciitis? I suffered for months using over the counter meds, the GP prescribed Naproxen and it disappeared after a while and hasn't t come back!

Thiswillbemyusername · 18/11/2017 18:25

@Almahart you're doing really well! And posting on this thread is a definite way to keep motivated

B: ham salad + creamy coffee
L: creamy coffee, 85% chocolate and emmental (hardly worth calling a meal)
D: celeriac daulphinoise (omg) w/ roast chicken

toomuchicecream · 18/11/2017 18:48

Am concentrating on drinking lots and lots of water as I don't have work to get in the way! The scales had dropped another pound this morning, which was very pleasing. Just got to keep it off until Monday now! At a wine tasting tonight which should be easy as I don't like wine, and as long as I don't give in to just a few nibbles, which will quickly become a few more and a few more, I know I'll be OK. Tomorrow is going to be more of a challenge - a Thanksgiving lunch at friends' house. Not sure what will be low carb - we went once years ago and I remember a dish of roasted sweet potatoes with toasted marshmallows on top and lots of pumpkin pie. But I'm hoping that as long as I hold out tonight, I'll be determined to not ruin a week of hard work the day before weigh-in.

Bought some bags of pork scratchings today, so am going to put a couple of those in my pocket tonight.

FurryTurnip · 18/11/2017 19:32

Evening all!

B: boiled eggs and half a protein roll
L: steam pack of multi greens (thankS to whoever recommended them from Iceland - they are lovely) topped with halloumi and some
Spicy sour cream
D: will be paneer masala with cauli rice - am
So looking forward to it

Still
Having phone problems so ignore random capitals, format etc - it's doing my head in!

Scabbersley · 18/11/2017 20:11

ASDismynormality yes! It was amazing but I had three lots then they gave me the steroid injections. They worked like magic. That was a year ago and they've worn off. I need to back to the GP.

I've had a crazy busy day outside with kids and horses. I am now pottering in the kitchen with a glass of dry white making myself a fat head pizza. I also have some camembert and some 85% choc.

The sausages I bought seem quite carby - 3.9. Will they be ok?

Veryflummoxed · 18/11/2017 20:52

Lunch and dinner both made out of fridge leftovers. All low carb, all healthy, lots of veg, olive oil etc. Bit down on water today though I think. I lost track, but I’m still drinking.

Grimbles · 18/11/2017 21:25

Evening all, I have a stinking cold Sad

B. Fasting
L. Nandos extra hot wings with a side salad and halloumi
D. Prawns with a small dollop of Marie rose sauce

Think I'm on track with the water today.

Mimosa1 · 18/11/2017 21:37

Evening bootcampers.

Toomuchicecream I've also just come from a thanksgiving dinner and while I did a good job resisting the sweet things on offer , I did have a couple of small roast potatoes. I'm a roast potato snob and these were utterly perfect - fluffy and crispy and yum. I enjoyed them. However, there is/was also an element of what a PP described as "I'm doing really well, let me reward myself" with food, which i know is absurd. The compliments are starting to come in and my clothes are fitting better but I'm not "there" yet wherever there is - still overweight BMI, etc. - so need to KOKO and not think I've "arrived".

SayrraT · 19/11/2017 03:49

Dream, carb counts will Mellor, Fiona Bruce. Spinach farm, harry Potter.

blackteaplease · 19/11/2017 06:32

Wow, some excellent losses on this thread. Its very inspirational. I am another aiming for 9 stone 7. I hope to achieve my November target of below 10 stone, I have seen 139lbs twice this week but the bouncing 2lbs will reappear tomorrow to thwart me no doubt.

I have an away day this week with 2 nights in hotels and a full day conference/activity thing. Apart from pepperami and nuts are there any other portable snacks that travel without a fridge that I can take as a back up? IME the meals at these things are very carb heavy.

It will be difficult to avoid the wine as well, maybe I should just consider the whole event as an endurance test and practice run for Christmas.

Cherrypi · 19/11/2017 07:01

Individually wrapped cheese should be ok in this weather. Pork scratchings. Avocado?

I had a day off Friday. Ate porridge, hot dogs and Chinese takeaway. Felt absolutely dreadful. Think my head is in the game now. Carby food does not agree with me. Eating low carb will maintain my weight. Drinking lots of water as well will make me lose weight. I’m going to try and alternate coffee, water, fizzy water today. Anyone have any water tips for a serial water refuser?

Thiswillbemyusername · 19/11/2017 07:13

@Cherrypi I can drink a lot more fizzy water than I can still water. It reminds me of drinking coke; the lack of sugar in it barely registers anymore. I'd recommend that but I see you have it on your 'to try' list Smile

Thiswillbemyusername · 19/11/2017 07:20

@Cherrypi I've just re-read your post it looks like you've already tried it (Sorry for misreading)

I buy a 2L bottle of fizzy water a day (17p from Tesco/aldi). Drink all of that and refills for the next day. May have a couple of extra glasses here or there to make it to 2.5L

FurryTurnip · 19/11/2017 07:21

Morning. Checking in to confess- got home late last night and couldn't be bothered to make the curry I had planned. So mindlessly ate 4 poppadoms. It's the first time of done anything like that on bootcamp. I know it's not a whole loaf of bread or anything, but have woken up with a headache.

Ah well, today's another day - back on track and looking forward to weigh in tomorrow. Have seen 10 stone bracket again this week and hope it stays!

Cherrypi · 19/11/2017 07:29

Yes fizzy water was a revelation for me on the last bootcamp I think. I always hated it but now I order it in restaurants. Don’t think I could manage 2 litres in one day of it though. Are there any side effects?

Veryflummoxed · 19/11/2017 07:29

And who was the most carby @SayrraT?
@cherripi. I’m drinking hot water and pretending it’s tea I also drink fizzy water.

Mimosa1 · 19/11/2017 07:34

@sayrra lol at your dream
@cherrypi I'm shocking st the water but my DH bought me a water bottle with one of those sports tops that's basically an inbuilt straw and it helps, especially at work.

SayrraT · 19/11/2017 08:05

That was just a reminder Grin

Will Mellor and Fiona Bruce were 41g combined, wombat and I had an argument about it. She said that it was
wrong but I had a list with lots of celebrity combinations on it. Grin

The spinach farm bit was because we (bootcamp) was sponsored by the farm but they withdrew their sponsorship.

I have no idea what the harry Potter bit is.

Sorry, just had to share. I've just finished a book by Stuart McBride which has a cannibal in it, I've never ever pondered the carb counts of celebrities before Smile

Thiswillbemyusername · 19/11/2017 08:08

@Cherrypi aside from a lot of burping? Grin I don't think so. I've just googled it and it looks okay, but that was just a quick glance so I could be wrong.
