Morning all Smile

Well done for reaching week 5, hopefully by now low carb eating should be pretty natural to everyone.

Just watch out for complacency, don't think "oh a wee bit won't hurt" it might!

If you need food inspiration (some people might find they are eating the same things and getting bored) check out the recipe thread or one if the many low carb/keto websites for ideas.

Good luck everyone Smile

@harlots. Thanks for the encouragement - you're right, the water is important! Must remember to drink more.

To my fellow stallers, good luck for tomorrow!

Tomorrow is my first day back at work at the beginning of a full week, both the kids are snotty and I'm dreading getting them both out of the door to the childminders. On the plus side, our weekly good delivery at work should have lots of lovely low carb high fat goodies courtesy of the kind team PA.

I'm feeling a bit down I started boot camp at the beginning and feel that my weight loss is really slowing down.

I started boot camp at 09/10 at 78.8kg / 12st6 / 173.7lbs.

To be in a healthy BMI range I need to weigh under 67kg/10st8/147lbs

( I'm 1m63/5ft4)

So I had 11.8kg / 26lbs to loose at least.

5 weeks in and I'm only 3.8kg / 8.4 lbs down

So I still have 8kg / 17.6 lbs to loose

I'm not even a 3rd of the way

I've weighed this morning for tomorrow, ( at friends, I don't have scales) and I just have the impression that at this rate I'm never going to make it to a healthy weight. I'm following boot camp as best as I can. I know it took I while for me to put on the weight and it's going to take a while to come off, but I'm just feeling so overwhelmed ( and ugly and fat). I have drinks out with friends planned tomorrow evening and I'm not sure I can stand another evening of drinking fizzy water and watching people ravish the bread basket.

Do I just have to accept that this is as good as it gets?

78.8kg 77.2kg 76.2kg 76.2kg 75.4kg 75.0kg

173.7 Lbs 170.1 Lbs 168.0 Lbs 167.7 Lbs 165.9 Lbs 165.0 Lbs

The weight is coming off though @pimmsy. If you hadn't been doing boot camp would you have lost over half a stone in a month? What would you be doing instead. Maybe have a mindful glass of wine or two with your friends if it will help you to keep on track.

Have you been posting your meals? Maybe put up the next few days and let people have a look.

I’ve had awoken from the low carb dream. It was about a huge plate of baked beans of all things
.
@FurryTurnip, not self absorbed at all. You were just sharing your experience which is what we all do. Glad you managed your meal and the next day.

@ilovecherries

That is a perfect rate of weight of weight loss @pimmsy. Over a pound a week, no stall. If you continue at this rate you’ll be at your goal well before spring and the time to start shedding clothing layers. Also the nearer you get to goal the more each pound of weight will show up on you.

Veryflummoxed · 13/11/2017 04:48

@ilovecherries you were supposed to get a Grin

Gammeldragz · 13/11/2017 05:52

pimmsy that's pretty good going, you're not massively overweight so it won't be super quick to come off. If you can keep up a pound a week that's brilliant and hopefully you will find a way of eating you can stick with so it doesn't go back on. It's a long game, not a quick fix, but the time would pass anyway so may as well lose weight even if it seems slow.

HarlotsWeb · 13/11/2017 06:13

4lbs off to 229lbs! V nice to make it out of the 230s at last :)

Will update spreadsheet at work.

Veryflummoxed · 13/11/2017 06:43

Well done @HarlotsWeb

FurryTurnip · 13/11/2017 06:53

Thank you Very Smile I think because I don't really talk about this WOE to anyone in real life, when I come on here I feel like I over share, but I guess that's the point!

Pimmsy I think it's a matter of perspective- I look at your weight loss and think that's great. Are there other benefits you can see aside from weight loss? For me I have clearer skin, more energetic, more calm, more patient, far more emotionally balanced. Try and see the bugger picture if you can. Keep at it, you're doing so well.

I am having a lie in this morning as can't quite face the music on the scales yet (am hoping my sleepy bowels will wake up shortly too!)

Well done to harlot and everyone who has lost- I'll be with you next week!

Moved my post to week 6 I thought I was writing in there!

Veryflummoxed · 13/11/2017 12:04

I’ve stayed the same. Would someone add me please Veryflummoxed 189

Right I am not able to get below 13 7. It just isn’t happening. I have the odd blip but also I am not drinking enough water. Today I WILL drink my water. I am also going to fast. If I get too hungry to fast I will turn it into an egg fast. (I’ve done several boot camps now and this is a long time with no weight shift)

Well done all you losers and everyone else for still being here.
