Morning all Smile

Well done for reaching week 5, hopefully by now low carb eating should be pretty natural to everyone.

Just watch out for complacency, don't think "oh a wee bit won't hurt" it might!

If you need food inspiration (some people might find they are eating the same things and getting bored) check out the recipe thread or one if the many low carb/keto websites for ideas.

Good luck everyone Smile

I can’t believe there’s so many bullet journal fans in here! I’m only half way through my book as I only started in August but should I get a new one for 2018...... Off to check out that thread

Scabbersley · 08/11/2017 16:48

What's a bullet journal

Rshard · 08/11/2017 16:51

Thanks very

It’s kind of like a DIY diary scabbers. You set it up to suit your life and can have a traditional diary as well as habit trackers, weight loss tracker, whatever you like. I have to do list and record things I refer to regularly. I started mine because my dd wanted to do one, hers is long abandoned mine has become indispensable!

BrassicaBabe · 08/11/2017 16:56

Everything in one place @Scabbersley. Xmas lists, birthdays, monthly and weekly to do lists (personal and work), weight graph Grin, holiday packing list, wish list for house improvements, meal planning. Oh an analogue joy!

Gammeldragz · 08/11/2017 17:15

Another one here who want a BuJo (and likes the naughty sounding name). I always start things like that in notebooks then get caught up with the layout not being right then give up after a few days anyway!

Lunch was chicken salad with caeser and mayo dressing and Parmesan.
Snacks - two creamy coffee and a square of dark choc.
Dinner - mozzarella and red pesto meatballs with roast kale.

I'm seriously slacking on the water front. (Not drinking enough, rather than chilling out on the beach).

ClearEyesFullHearts · 08/11/2017 17:20

Wh0Kmows I totally front load on water whenever possible. Makes things much easier especially at night .

SoMuch tell us about your Fish Man? If I want fish there's a travelling fishmonger who's in the next village each Thursday but a fellow came round recently with offers of as&when delivery, which suits me better. Is this a normal thing for people, to have a fish delivery? Is it more expensive? And how is the quality? #iloveseafoos

Thiswillbemyusername · 08/11/2017 17:32

@BrassicaBabe thanks for the link Smile I've just bought the yellow one, along with a set of fineliner pens. Can't wait to get started

BlackMozart · 08/11/2017 18:21

scabbersley you could stuff the chicken breast with cheese (I use boursin) or garlic butter, and wrap in streaky bacon or Parma/Serrano ham (if you eat processed meat).
I then bake it resting on a finely sliced onion or shallot and garlic clove and when it is nearly done add some double cream to make a sauce. Serve with green veg or salad.

SoMuchToBits · 08/11/2017 18:30

Clear, our fish man is a local chap who runs his own small business. He does certain areas on certain days, but can sometimes call at a different time if you ask him to (depending on his schedule). I would say it's a bit more expensive than supermarket fish, but the quality is amazing. I'm in Suffolk, so that's probably no help to you though. I don't know if other areas have similar fish men!

ClearEyesFullHearts · 08/11/2017 18:45

Thanks. We are so far from any coast in Britain that I'm suspicious of Fish Man, but really want to give him a try.

I really fancy some hake. But that's probably shellfish of me.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 08/11/2017 18:46
Hmm
BrassicaBabe · 08/11/2017 18:49

Sticking with the fish theme, I’ve had sea bass fillet (tesco Smile) and salad with some cheese for dinner. An odd mix but filled a gap

Veryflummoxed · 08/11/2017 18:54

Lunch leftover turkey fillet, mushrooms and celariac
Diner pork chop. Cabbage, celeriac and creamed leek.

Rshard · 08/11/2017 19:07

Think I posted breakfast and lunch earlier......seems like ages ago but started to type it out and had sense of deja vu?

D - lettuce rocket cucumber 6 cherry tomatoes and mackerel fillets in mustard.

Scabbersley · 08/11/2017 19:10

I fried the chicken, then added it to a sauce made from tinned tomatoes (allowed??), garlic, shallot, chorizo and olives. Baked it in the oven. Hopefully the rest of my family are eating it while I eat pork scratchings in the car plucking up the courage to go and stand in the cold and watch dd play football Hmm

I'm hoping there will be some left, I'll have it with mozzarella and salad.

prettybird · 08/11/2017 19:24

I had supper of brussels and asparagus in butter, plus some raw mange tout (while they were in the microwave) because I hadn't had enough veg today ShockGrin

Ds was having pork belly & chorizo casserole with rice and dh will be having what was left plus rice when he gets in from rugby training (while I take ds to late rugby training) and there wasn't enough for me - hence the virtuous veg Grin currently trying to clear the freezer in the run up to Christmas Xmas Smile

FurryTurnip · 08/11/2017 19:29

B: half a protein roll with butter and hard boiled egg
L: leftover spinach gratin (tiny bit), avocado, egg mayo (random fridge surprise!)
D: will be cauli rice with courgette and mushrooms in stilton sauce
S: Greek yogurt and almonds

HarlotsWeb · 08/11/2017 19:49

B aforementioned creamy coffee and cold sausage
L sausage and red cabbage

prettybird · 08/11/2017 20:23

I did break open my pack of Macadamia nuts which I'd been resisting that I bought 2 weeks ago for a snack this afternoon and ate 15 of them yes, I did count Blush

To counter that, I've not had a single square of 90% Lindt chocolate today despite it calling to me Grin

Frigglet · 08/11/2017 20:29

Hi all. Great to see all the food options as they’re giving me inspiration. My meals today:

B - 1 buttery scrambled egg
L - Turkish omelette with salad
D - Small saucer of celeriac and chicken thigh

Just realised my lunch salad had grated carrots in it. Grrr!!

SayrraT · 08/11/2017 20:36

I can't remember who it was that posted about the plates on the diet doctor site but thank you.

I don't know why I've not been on that site before Shock so many lovely meal ideas.
