Morning all Smile

Well done for reaching week 5, hopefully by now low carb eating should be pretty natural to everyone.

Just watch out for complacency, don't think "oh a wee bit won't hurt" it might!

If you need food inspiration (some people might find they are eating the same things and getting bored) check out the recipe thread or one if the many low carb/keto websites for ideas.

spreadsheet

Good luck everyone Smile

I know scabbersley, I might have nipped and got one last night.......Christmas cups are out too.

ASDismynormality · 08/11/2017 08:29

orange. We'll done in your losses so far, I lost over 2 stone on my first bootcamp and just under on my second bootcamp so it can be done! On this one I will be lucky to lose 10 lbs as it has slowed down.

prettybird · 08/11/2017 08:31

KOKO cherrypi Smile

Persevere and you will see a whoosh! Smile On the positive side, remember that you are maintaining setting yourself up for a whoosh whilst still eating well and not feeling hungry Grin

Have you seen a difference in your shape.

On the phone so difficult to check back to see if you've been posting them, but why not post up your recent days' meals so that we can see if anything jumps out that might be stalling you.

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 08/11/2017 09:17

After two weeks of sts I lost 2lbs this morning cherrypi so it does happen. It’s frustrating when it’s seems a bit random though.

The one thing I did do differently yesterday was drink 3.5l water. I’d mostly been hovering between 2 and 2.5.

Mimosa1 · 08/11/2017 10:03

Cherry after 10 days of sts more or less, I've lost 400g on the scales today. I hope it sticks! Finding going back to work very tiring as the baby is still not reliably sleeping through so I'm trying hard to resist the lure of carbs for a quick energy boost. The lovely team assistant who orders in food every week has said she will order some low carbs things for me though. Today's loss is helping to motivate me. I just wish I'd done this after my first baby was born - I can't stop kicking myself - as I wouldn't be facing such a long way to go gaargh.

CremeDeSudo · 08/11/2017 10:05

@ferntwist Congratulations! Flowers How far along are you? I'm 5 weeks today. Early scan booked in for 30th November. Can't come quick enough!

So I'm sticking to this WOE. I didn't want to stop as it really feels like it agrees with me! Am doing BC Lite as mentioned above, and not worrying about 'hidden carbs' in vegetables etc. Easy peasy.

This is my third pregnany and usually by now I am usually starving. It's one of my earliest symptoms/signs and so far I've been barely hungry. I'm also not bloating this time so far which is wonderful. First pg the bloating was actually painful!

NSV today - MIL told me I looked like I'd lost 'more weight' Grin

Going to make the broccoli/cauliflower/bacon concoction from above for tea tonight!

Hippadippadation · 08/11/2017 10:14

I've had an almond milk mocha from Starbucks before. It was very nice. Probably not massively low carb though, haha.

ilovecherries · 08/11/2017 10:28

Totally vain NSV. Put on black opaque tights and a skirt today. And my legs look NICE. They actually really do. Proper kneees, calves and ankles. (Not sure about the skirt - a bargain in the Hospice shop when I was dropping off the chocolate brittle, but will ask S&B about that! Grin)

SayrraT · 08/11/2017 10:33

Does anyone know if Costa do almond milk? Once a month or so I meet friends there and usually have coffee with cream. If they did almond milk I might get a cappuccino instead.

I'll ask next time I'm in anyway.

Thanks for the encouragement. At least I’m not gaining. I am feeling slimmer.

Meals:
B: Greek yoghurt and creamy coffee
L: sausage in bacon with cucumber
T: cauliflower cheese
2 Dark chocolate squares.
A second creamy coffee. Half a tea. 2 litres of water.

Rshard · 08/11/2017 10:48

I’m not sure about Costa sayyra, they do have soya milk I think but not sure how that compares?

Katkin14 · 08/11/2017 11:22

Please could someone update the spreadsheet for me? I’ve not been able to do it since the last IOS update. I was 179 last week and 178 this week. Smile

ClearEyesFullHearts · 08/11/2017 11:52

Done, katkin

prettybird · 08/11/2017 11:52

Cherrypi - maybe some more veg? And less processed protein? I can't talk as that's very similar to what I have Blush

And probably definitely but enough water.

I'm still 12 stone 10.25lb (same as Monday I'm a daily weigher ) - I'm actually pleased with that as I know I didn't have enough water yesterday (2l max, which for my weight is not enough Blush) Smile

NSV is that dh says I am noticeably slimmer and that he's not have to stretch to put his arm around me GrinBlush

Kleptronic · 08/11/2017 12:03

cherrypi that's dairy with everything. Make one meal dairy free and mostly veg with non-processed fatty meat - belly pork, chicken thigh with skin on, lamb chop, 20% fat beef mince, pork chop? Coconut/olive oil/butter. Dairy can stall some people. Definitely not enough veg.

Saying that I've just had sprouts roasted in gorgonzola and creme fraiche. Must follow own advice!

AveAtqueVale · 08/11/2017 12:10

I’m up for it Brassica - did you start? I couldn’t quite face it first thing this morning but will either try once I’m home this afternoon or when the kids are in bed.

In other news I’m currently in an M&S cafe and they very happily if slightly confusedly gave me pouring cream for my coffee. I’m not even —that— envious of DS’s chocolate log cake and DH’s lovely milky latte!

Katkin14 · 08/11/2017 12:11

Thanks Cleareyes

prettybird · 08/11/2017 12:20

I'm going to have to buy multiple packs of sprouts this week Grin - having eaten a single pack all on my own in two days Blush

So along with the butter shortage, Boot Camp may be responsible for an upsurge in sales of sprouts, celeriac and broccoli Grin

BrassicaBabe · 08/11/2017 12:54

Lol Ave I’ve been updating my 2018 bullet journal to procrastinate!! Ok, I’m in. I’ll do L1D1 at 1600 after a planned phone call.

Other goal for today; no wine! 😩

ASDismynormality · 08/11/2017 12:57

My Sainsbury's jeans are too big so I went charity shop shopping looking for nice interim jeans - I was looking for size 16 but found some nice ones from Monsoon and Lands End in 14, both pairs fit! My weightloss has been very slow recently but I have felt a huge change in my body, the 6lb or so loss I have had feels at least three times that! Others have noticed too, been getting lots of comments this week - great to have some NSV when the scales aren't really moving!

Scabbersley · 08/11/2017 13:00

B: buttery scrambled eggs, 2 decaf creamy coffees
Snack at work: 5 brazil nuts, 2 more creamy coffees!
L: sprouts and broccoli, microwaved with lots of butter then cheese o top under the grill, a leftover chicken thigh and half an avocado
D: again not sure

I need to make something to feed everyone tonight with chicken breasts. Any ideas?

Rshard · 08/11/2017 13:04

Awesome ASD - nice NSV!

I bullet journal brassica, dd and I made them in the dummer holidays, wouldn’t be without it now!

Veryflummoxed · 08/11/2017 13:06

Starbucks tall almond milk cappachino 7g carbs. (I googled it)I wonder if it’s sweetened almond milk.

ponygirlcurtis · 08/11/2017 13:10

I have just bought two packets of sprouts and am making my first ever Keto muffins. This thread is inspiring me to try new things. Smile

With the sprouts, do I literally just stick them in a bowl with butter and microwave for a couple of minutes?

prettybird · 08/11/2017 13:12

Ponygirl - in my microwave, I do it for two blasts of 2 minutes with a shoogle between them (to cost the brussels in butter which will have melted in the first blast), but another microwave might be different.

Then season. Be careful - they're very hot when they first come out.
