I love the giraffe-horse! Grin

I'm feeling very positive about this WOE, and not finding it hard to stick to it. I guess it helps that there isn't a load of carby crap in the house for me to reach for, as ds doesn't eat masses of carby food (there's bread in the freezer and biscuits in the tin, but I can ignore those). Ds is also quietly supportive of my low carb WOE, which helps.

Tomorrow I'm going for a walk with a friend, and we're stopping at a pub for lunch. I have already looked at the menu online, and have decided I am probably going to have the chicken burger with halloumi, salad and harissa mayo, but ask for it without the bun and the chips. Actually that's something that I have never really understood (even before BC). Why do so many places serve double carbs (e.g. bun and chips)?

Possibly because it's inexpensive. Good profit etc.

SoMuch most places will swap the chips for salad or veg.

Veryflummoxed · 06/11/2017 05:40

And when I eat bunless these days, and swap my chips for salad I am very full at the end of it. I can’t believe that I used to eat it all and have pud as well.

Love the giraffe horse sayyra!

somuch you’re absolutely right, I would have happily eaten double carbs every time. I remember once we three went for a burger while shopping, we had burgers and chips and we were so sluggish we abandoned the shopping and went home! I appreciate why now!

Good luck for all the weigh ins
