Morning everyone Smile as BIWI is away I have the honour of starting the week 4 thread.

I going to give you all the usual reminder that in week 4 it is PERFECTLY NORMAL for weight loss to stall. So you may sts or even see a gain.

Do not panic! Just KOKO Smile

SoMuchToBits a wave from another post menopausal body who is finally (sic.) loosing weight with LCHF after literally years of trying LFHC and failing miserably sigh. So glad I'm here now

BrassicaBabe Mmmm, I love celeriac too, though I have not yet tried the crisps, but if it has the same effect on you as on me, you had best not move too far away from a loo. I had a touch of constipation when I first stared BC seriously, my usual remedies like cabbage and spinach didn't seem to have any impact. Sorry if anyone finds this TMI, I am endlessly fascinated to learn the different ways we all react to the same things.

Good to have you back, Scabbers

'Ello every else, TempusEejit style 😄

Oddly finallyhere, a cup of tea first thing does it for me !! I don’t know why, and I only started drinking it the last 6 months or so. I wonder if that’s why? But it’s a guarantee.

starsky22 · 01/11/2017 22:12

mini sorry to hear about your mother in law Flowers

Had good day, the pound I put on whilst away has gone and so have the headaches, feel so much better now I'm back to low carb. NSV didn't eat any of the Halloween chocolates, in fact didn't even think about having any!

Today:
B fasting
L cheesy chicken & broccoli bake
D chorizo wrapped chicken with cauli cheese

FurryTurnip · 01/11/2017 22:23

Very nibbly food day for me today it feels.

B: 2 fried eggs
S: almonds and chunks of cheddar ( while out walking)
Late L: cauli rice with courgette, mushroom and leeks in stilton sauce
S: cheese, cucumber and mayo wrapped in slice of quorn 'chicken' x 3
A few bits of the mascarpone and almond butter creation that Hippa suggested. I froze it and ate small chunks like sweets. Very rich but lovely. Might try putting a bit of melted dark chocolate on top of the rest tomorrow to try and pretend it's Millionare's shortbread....

BrassicaBabe · 01/11/2017 22:27

I can safely say that celeriac in “whole head” volumes cure any constipation issues Blush Probably not a plan A though Grin

starsky22 · 01/11/2017 23:16

Add 2 squares of dark chocolate to today's food!

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 02/11/2017 05:22

Haven’t checked in for a while so

B- skipped
L- chicken, berry and goats cheese salad (really good!)
D- about to have bunless burger and salad.
S- c. 1oz almonds.

It’s 10.30 here and I am waiting for a flight to New York. Only one more day until I’m home. So pleased that I have made it this far without kicking myself out of keto!

Hippadippadation · 02/11/2017 06:33

Timbuktu you've done well!

Furry I never thought about freezing it - that's genius! Next time i've got leftover mascarpone I'll have to do that!

Scabbers welcome back lovely, I hope you don't think I was getting at you, I really wasn't. Unfortunately I just happened to choose your example of a croissant. I've not fallen out with you, you're clearly a moderator and I'm an abstainer. Flowers

Well done to everyone who didn't eat the halloween sweets. I'm not a massive fan of sweets, so I'm not tempted luckily. It's chocolate and biscuits that would lead to my downfall!

I found a bar of Green and Black's dark chocolate with salted caramel in ASDA yesterday, quite low carb, almost as low as the Lindt 90%. So I bought it for my post Low-vember treat.

Food plan today:
L - salad with leftover bacon
D - dunno - either pork belly stir fry or sea bass with creamed leeks. I've not decided yet. What do you guys think?

SayrraT · 02/11/2017 06:44

BIWI you probably aren't checking the thread (your holiday looks awful BTW Wink) but I had a dream with you in it last night.

We were both in the same city, don't know which one, so we arranged to meet. You were out with your sister and her daughter. We met in a pub (but sometimes it was actually a caravan Grin).

You were eating SANDWICHES Shock I said I didn't want one. People on BC had fallen out with you because you had told them to stop making excuses for not going running.

You and your sister were drinking wine but because I was driving later you gave me gin instead Grin except you gave me no mixer so I had to drink it straight.

Then we were in a car going somewhere listening to rod Stewart talking about how your niece was at a difficult age Grin

Ooohhhh, hippa, i would love to find some G&B's chocolate with the carb count of Lindt 90% (14g/100g), would you very kindly post a link? I have looked at a couple G&B (didn't realise there were sooo many kinds) and haven't found any below about 40g/100g [looks up hopefully]

ClearEyesFullHearts · 02/11/2017 07:16

Sayrra's dream Grin

Lizard202 · 02/11/2017 07:27

LMAO at @SayrraT 's dream ❤️

My Lowvember goal in to get into the 150s, nearly 5 lbs to go 🤞🏻

Rshard · 02/11/2017 07:41

Fab dream sayyra

CarbyDeadUn · 02/11/2017 07:49

Forgive me bootcsmperd.

Last night I fell off the carb wagon. Badly. The carbwagon crashed and burned. And I at an awful lot of mini milky ways, mars bars, skittles left over Halloween stuff. And then I drank a glass of sherry. It was out to slosh into the pudding and cake I’m planning.

Never have I consumed so much sugar in such a short space of time.

Mimosa1 · 02/11/2017 07:50

LOL sayrra

Just popping in to say I've found low carb bread from CarbZone on Ocado at 3.7g per (v small) slice. It's not bad at all though - def improved by being toasted with loads of butter. It's dark and dense, a bit like German rye bread. Anyway, after 2 months of no bread at all, it was heaven. Trying to limit myself to one slice per day.

Cherrypi · 02/11/2017 08:06

Big increase in the scales today boo. Not sure what I did wrong apart from not drink much water. Bit discouraging.

Rshard · 02/11/2017 08:06

Ooh mimosa, I’ve not massively missed bread but I might put one of these on my Ocado shop to try, thanks

Hippadippadation · 02/11/2017 08:08

Oooh Carby are you suffering today?

Finally I just checked the chocolate. I was reading the wrong column, clearly, yesterday! It's 39g/100g, but only 7g per row, so definitely ok for a "treat" Grin

I meant to post this morning about the way my weight loss works on this WOE - it's weird. I've been daily weighing for a while, to get an idea of my natural fluctuations. So I get to a low weight, stay the same for 2 days ish, then gain between 1-3lbs which sticks for about 4 days to a week. Then the whoosh fairy comes and I lose the extra and more to get to a new low weight. Rinse & repeat. Very strange.

Scabbersley · 02/11/2017 08:12

Are lidl protein rolls OK? I have one here. It's my day off, I have a lot of manual labour ahead! If I could have it toasted with marmite and butter as a treat after two hours picking up poo from my horse's field, I'd be delighted!!

pimmsy · 02/11/2017 08:17

I have fallen off the wagon. I need to climb back on. I seem to be able to abide by boot camp induction rules, but don't have enough self discipline for boot camp light. Just a little bit of carbs become all the carbs I have in my fridge at once. Feeling really shit this morning after yesterday ( was a bank holiday here) potatoes +bread+ sugary yogurt. Need a kick up the arse , because if not it's going to be a slippery slope all the way to Nutella for breakfast again...

Mimosa1 · 02/11/2017 08:18

Rshard I really do recommend them. Slices are actually not that small either I'm just greedy Grin

ilovecherries · 02/11/2017 08:21

New low weight today. Will now start all the usual fluctuations around it before I can claim it as real, but always heartening to explore areas of my scales that have never before been seen :)

AveAtqueVale · 02/11/2017 08:22

I’ve stalled majorly. I keep going up and down the same lb for the last week- it’s infuriating. I think maybe I’m just eating too much of everything, or not enough green veg. Bleh.

WhoKn0wsWhereTheSlimeGoes · 02/11/2017 08:23

Scabbers - someone recommended the Lidl rolls on the last thread. I tried one yesterday (with butter and marmite). It wasn't the most pleasant bread but certainly edible, nicer than rye bread which I hate. Very filling too, I'm going to buy some more, slice them in half and freeze them.
