Morning everyone Smile as BIWI is away I have the honour of starting the week 4 thread.

I going to give you all the usual reminder that in week 4 it is PERFECTLY NORMAL for weight loss to stall. So you may sts or even see a gain.

B cold chicken and stuffing
L cold sausages
S a whole pack of celery
D chicken in Moroccan spices.

Even with the celery, this is pretty unvegetabled. Must do better tomorrow.

HarlotsWeb · 01/11/2017 17:18

When does our BC end? It's before Christmas, isn't it??

Gammeldragz · 01/11/2017 17:29

Lunch - cauliflower and spinach in cheese sauce
Dinner - chicken curry
Dessert - Oppo ice cream (7g carbs a serving) with peanut butter (treat to myself as I've been poorly this week and reward for not eating Halloween sweets last night!).

My Lowvember goals are

  • push ups/sit-ups 3 times a week minimum (starting when I've recovered from this bug) as I need to tone up
  • get down to 162lb before Christmas party (2nd Dec), so 4lbs ish to go. May egg fast at the end of the month if needed.
  • No alcohol
  • no cheat days (am allowing myself the Christmas party as a cheat day as I really can't face paying £20 and not being able to eat most of what I order. I'm a healthy BMI now and happy to accept a few pounds gain for a night of fun and food/wine).

I'm 6lb off the lowest weight I have been since having children. Back in 2012 I got down to 160 (from 180). I started this WOE January this year at 211, so I have lost 45lbs. I'm not really sure what my goal weight is, I'd like to be 10 something, even if it's 10 stone 12, which would be 152lbs. I've got about a stone to go and don't expect to get there by the end of the year but I'm hoping the new year bootcamp will get me there.

SoMuchToBits · 01/11/2017 17:30

I think so! But if not it will be a good incentive not to eat all the festive carbs, so we don't embarrass ourselves at the next weigh-in! Grin

Gammeldragz · 01/11/2017 17:31

Harlot about a week before Christmas I think.

dataandspot · 01/11/2017 17:35

It's magnesium and what else that low carbers need to be sure to get enough of?

Grah0SoontobeaFitty · 01/11/2017 17:47

Oct 23rd + 70 days = Dec 18th
Spreadsheet has a weight column for each week up to Dec 25th.

So what present are we unwrapping for ourselves on that day? something smaller than today Grin

Day 1 of 47
B 3 whole eggs, 1 egg white , ham
L avocado, lettuce, chicken mayo
s tiny sliver of cocoa butter. or CPC ( Cocoa proof coffee )
D unknown yet - might be home, out or at DDs

TempusEejit · 01/11/2017 17:50

@dataandspot it's potassium (along with regular salt as well). Lo salt is a mixture of the sodium and potassium, however apparently it can be difficult for many people to absorb enough potassium through their diet. An alternative is to buy Epsom salts to add to your bath water or have a foot soak.

BrassicaBabe · 01/11/2017 17:55

I missed the week 3 thread as I was on hols

Oh heavens! My tummy is not very happy Confused I managed to eat a whole celeriac by “accident”. I was having a few hours cooking getting things into the freezer. I came across the recipe for celeriac crisps while browsing the BC recipe thread. Well, they came out of the oven in batches and I managed to eat them in batches Sad I’m going to pay for that in several ways I think.

Off to read thread to catchup....

ChinchillaFur · 01/11/2017 18:02

Prettybird I think you look fantastic! You can really tell on your face and arms. Well done!

Sayrra Good Luck on the job application!

Well done to everyone who avoided the halloween sweets last night. I did too, yey!

Food today:
B: cream cheese pancake, Greek yog & 6 rasps. 1 HB egg.
L: HM burger with cheese, salad
D: thai red curry, baby corn, sprouts and brocolli
S: small pot nuts, 1/2 squsre 82% choc
Drinks: lots of black teas, water and 2 coffees with a drop of milk.

Tomorrow I have parents eve, so another 12 hour day at work. Have done it once so know what foods to take to keep me going without straying.

dataandspot · 01/11/2017 18:07

Thankyou tempus.

I take the vegan and vegetarian multi vit and mineral and got a surprise when I checked the label because it doesn't have much in it!

I thought it had everything in it!

prettybird · 01/11/2017 18:24

Ilovecherries - I'd never had to shop for 16+ before ShockSad - so wouldn't know "good" places to shop.

All my clothes are size 12-14 - I'd not really shopped at all since I put on so much weight last year - except for some Size 16 jeans and summer shorts to tide me over. Hence why I had nothing to wear to the wedding Shock.

I got through last winter in jeans and my "old faithfull" dress: a fabulous heavy charcoal grey Merino wool knitted dress that is really simple and classic and can be dressed up or down easily - and just as importantly, can cope with wife weight fluctuations Grin Dh bought it for me for Christmas over 20 years ago and it is still going strong! Smile

Thiswillbemyusername · 01/11/2017 18:24

Placemarking as I can't find the bookmark post button. The three dots on my phone don't give me that option.

Dinner tonight will be sea bream with sautéed broccoli and kale, with a parsley sauce

SoMuchToBits · 01/11/2017 18:35

I've had bacon, eggs, spinach and cherry tomatoes (cooked in butter) for lunch and salmon in cheesy cream sauce with sautéed courgette for dinner.

Grimbles · 01/11/2017 19:03

Evening all!

The bad news is my tonsils are flaring up and I've had to have a few sugar-free strepsils
The good news is I can't face eating anything so I should lose a bit more

Sad
YoLoNovVitMe · 01/11/2017 19:17

Glad you are back scabbers after your flounce Grin . We I can get a bit evangelical about this WOE but its only because it is the only thing that has ever worked to get the weight off. And the food is bloody fantastic!!

sayrra i love a good graph!!

Moanranger · 01/11/2017 19:18

Had the most amaaazing sleep last night -10:30 pm to 9:30 am! Haven't done that in years. Something about this WOE is helping me sleep better.
B -4 rashers streaky bacon, 4 cherry toms, bit of avo, Mayo -BLT-ish without the bread
L -baked egg with mushrooms
D-pork chop, pumpkin soup, cauliflower cheese
S -coffee with cream

blackteaplease · 01/11/2017 19:19

Thiswill I had to go to my settings and enable the bookmark function to get it to appear in the three dots. It's very helpful.

Thiswillbemyusername · 01/11/2017 19:32

@blackteaplease I can't find a mumsnet settings tab, nor can I find a bookmark enabling tab on my browser settings Sad am I looking in the wrong place?

Thiswillbemyusername · 01/11/2017 19:37

@blackteaplease sorry I've found it. I had to change my phone to show the desktop site to make it work.. thank you!

wombattoo · 01/11/2017 19:38
