Morning everyone Smile as BIWI is away I have the honour of starting the week 4 thread.

I going to give you all the usual reminder that in week 4 it is PERFECTLY NORMAL for weight loss to stall. So you may sts or even see a gain.

Two lots of biscuits plus fudge in the office today. I am ignoring it all!

ASDismynormality · 01/11/2017 11:10

SayrraT.
Looking forward to having the opportunity too

ASDismynormality · 01/11/2017 11:18

Maybe that's a bit of a mouthful. Good luck SayrraT with the application.

sheepysheep · 01/11/2017 11:20

Eager?

SayrraT · 01/11/2017 11:23

Thanks Sheepy I've gone with "... eager to learn..." and "... very keen to advance..."

Thanks, I only spotted it on Monday and closing date is today. Was away with boss Monday and Tuesday so trying to do application now!

Mimosa1 · 01/11/2017 11:27

"Enthusiastic about" or "excited at the chance to" ?

Scabbersley · 01/11/2017 11:30

Im creeping back in after my flounce and apologising for being an oversensitive twat.

Despite croissantgate I lost a 1lb (and a half) last week. I am beginning to think I might actually see the 11s in the next couple of weeks so need to be on here to keep me on the straight and narrow.

I ate a lot yesterday because I was on the run all day and hadn't made much in advance. I am not even going to divide it into meals as it was a pretty much non stop in the car snack fest

2 x cheese portions
pack pork scratchings
two sausages dipped in mayo
greek yogurt with raspberries
the top of a cheese and ham pizza that dd3 didn't want. The dog had the base!
I think there might have been a few other bits too, all low carb but it didn't feel very healthy and/or organised! The only good thing was that I drank at least 2l of water.

Before bed I had a mug of almond milk with a spoon of cream and a teaspoon of cocoa and a bit of cinnamon. I really enjoy this drink now and I am pleased I have found a low carb alternative to my customary milky drink. I did try a few grains of truvia in it but it tasted disgusting so I made another one with no truvia!

Today I woke up starving.
greek yogurt with raspberries
bacon

planning konjac noodles, egg and veg for lunch

making a risotto tonight iwth green beans, aspargus , courgettes and peas. I will cook some of the veg seperately and have cauli rice with it.

prettybird · 01/11/2017 11:38

"I'd welcome the opportunity to...."?

Good luck SayrraT Flowers

Kleptronic · 01/11/2017 11:41

HarlotsWeb · 01/11/2017 11:43

Hurrah for 1.5lb loss and being close to target scabbers, and welcome back :)

Good luck with application, sarrya

blackteaplease · 01/11/2017 11:43

Yay, welcome back Scabbersley .

prettybird · 01/11/2017 11:51

Good to see you again Scabbersley Flowers

Earlier in this thread I posted about how I don't think I'll ever - and nor do I intend to - get over enjoying some things on occasion. But what this WoE had done for me is to stop me eating them out of addiction habit and when I do choose to have them, I will appreciate and enjoy them. For the moment, I am choosing not to except for the Peppermint Crisp last night which I ate mindfully and appreciated that ds was sharing this rare treat with me WinkBlush as getting to my goal is more important. Thereafter, I will continue with this WoE with the occasional small and mindful off-piste aberration.

Anyway, I've put together two photos: one of me on 25th May with dh cropped out and one taken today (apologies for the poor selfie), just under two stone later.

Not sure I can see much difference in the photos Hmm - although maybe more objective eyes than mine can comment - but as an NSV, the white trousers are now falling off me. Would anyone like some Size 18 Wallis trousers for the cost of postage? serious offer

Wow loving the lo-vember word and the goals.
I’m feeling a bit frazzled this morning what with builders, and digging up half the garden and the weird system drains flummoxing everyone. I know that in these situations I’m in danger of losing myself and getting stressed. So it’s a good reminder for me to only focus on the things that matter most and not worry about the things I can’t control.

With this in mind, my lo-vember goal is to not let the building work on our extension hijack eating plan - even when it comes to us not having a kitchen in the next few weeks

I’ve skim read what I can but we had the builder here early this morning to discuss how he’s going to tackle certain issues to do with the extension etc and he’s quite a chatterbox. Apologies if I miss people out

@HolgerDanske lots of empathetic hugs 💐 I bet it makes you a stronger more sympathetic person

@ilovecherries I’m impressed with what you’ve lost, don’t be disheartened as I’m sure you can and will shift the rest of it because you have the determination to do it.

Glad you’re back @Scabbersley 😀

@FabulousUsername hi and welcome , read the info on the spreadsheet there’ll be a link either at the beginning of this thread or the beginning of the last thread it’ll help you

SayrraT · 01/11/2017 11:54

Welcome back scabbersly

There is a character count on the application so I've gone with eager.

Crossing my fingers as this would be almost as good as permanent as it's open ended. It's in a "trendy" area of research so likely to be funded for a while. Even better its more money than I'm on and because the position doesn't actually need a PhD then hopefully no one trying to 'encourage' me to apply for funding Grin

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 01/11/2017 11:55

My NSV is that I saw a full length reflection of myself and my silhouette looks less bumpy with rolls of fat. But there’s still a way to go......

Veryflummoxed · 01/11/2017 11:55

I have lots of new-ish dresses, tunics, leggings and smart shoes but I have fallen into the trap of not wearing them because they're "for best".

I do this too @StuntNun and as work and pleasure all take place around the Home it’s bloody ridiculous. I think I’ll take a leaf from your book (and throw out the old stuff mostly that I don’t even like).

SayrraT · 01/11/2017 11:56

pretty I can definitely see a difference. In your face and arms particularly.

OP posts:
Veryflummoxed · 01/11/2017 12:00

@SayrraT eager enthusiastic

Veryflummoxed · 01/11/2017 12:00

Oh, should have finished reading before reading I posted.

ilovecherries · 01/11/2017 12:31

Pretty, big difference in your arms/face/neck and round the top of your thighs.

Rshard · 01/11/2017 12:48

Huge difference pretty
Welcome back scabbersley
Welcome fabuloususername, lots of support and inspiration here.

Colleague who I’ve not seen for a while commented how well I’m looking so claiming an NSV for that.

Thiswillbemyusername · 01/11/2017 13:07

I ate half a pitta bread pizza for lunch Sad I didn't have enough to eat this morning (nothing in) and me and DD made the pizzas together at the cooking class, and she wasn't going to eat it. I've been very strict with regards to carbs so I'm hoping that it won't have made any difference to my weight

Almahart · 01/11/2017 13:07

Definite difference prettybird well done!

My November goal is to get to 10 stone 7. Am currently 10 12 so doable but quite ambitious

starsky22 · 01/11/2017 13:29

Loving all the Lowvember challenges and goals! I'm too scared to talk about my goal, in case I jinx it!

Welcome fabulous

Grimbles well done on losing a stone, a great milestone!

Scabber welcome back!

Sayrra good luck!
