Morning everyone Smile as BIWI is away I have the honour of starting the week 4 thread.

I going to give you all the usual reminder that in week 4 it is PERFECTLY NORMAL for weight loss to stall. So you may sts or even see a gain.

Do not panic! Just KOKO Smile

I had a picture of my colour palate on my phone for a while so I could compare while I was shopping @HarlotsWeb. That was really helpful and I rarely need it now.

Week 4 - just got to KOKO
Rshard · 31/10/2017 18:18

Logging today’s food
B - buttery eggs mushrooms and bacon
L - lettuce rocket cucumber tuna mayo avo
D - leftover cauliflower chicken/chorizo stew which did have some tinned tomato in but I had a quarter of the dish so not much

2 l water

NOMOREoatcakesandcheese · 31/10/2017 18:34

Anybody who wants to do a November challenge post your goals on here tomorrow. if anyone’s got any ideas for a snappy alliterative name for, post away

We’ve had the builders today digging up pipes and turning on taps and flushing of loos and scratching their heads and consulting the structural engineer trying to work out what pipe serves what before they can start building our extension. It’s a bit of a muddle apparently but we’re assured it can be sorted. Not a lot of time to think about food - so, hopefully my weight might go downwards a bit

ChinchillaFur · 31/10/2017 18:39

Congratulations creme! Fantastic news. I think you should just keep low ish carb but listen to your body. There is no way I could have LC'd during my pg as all I could keep down were bagels, monster munch and mini trifles!

Fab foid day here I think:
B 2 poached eggs with butter on tp, 2 fried bacon
L chicken tikka salad, yoghurt (FF greek)
D 2 egg omlette, cheese and ham, with salad
Snacks 2 babybel and small pot nuts
Lots of black tea and water, 1 coffee with milk pot (1g)

Really hope each day we all stay on this woe is considered a victory. It's the not feeling ravenously hungry all the time that is the best bit for me. On a low fat diet think about food constantly!

ClearEyesFullHearts · 31/10/2017 18:45

cherries I'm embarrassed that I forgot about your colours because I remember being rather cross on your behalf and urging you to complain to head office. You shouldn't come away with that kind of experience for that kind of money. It's not too late to file your grievances!

What about an amazing facial? Not one of those things where they put cream after cream on your face and it hydrates you for about a day (though those do feel nice), but one using technology such as an Elemis machine, or one that includes oxygen and the facialist does extracts. More of a clinical facial, is call it. Not sure what big spas like Sanctuary offer these days but I would also look at independent places to find an experienced and passionate provider.

Harlot's I felt the same way about not having confidence in the right blue or whatever for my season so I carried around my whole colour wallet and just opened it in full against an item, my one question being "Does it clash or complement?"

Made it so much easier to see how it all works and I wasted far less time agonising about matchy matchy.

HarlotsWeb · 31/10/2017 19:37

Great idea about carrying round wallet and also having the pallet on my phone. Thanks both.

ilovecherries · 31/10/2017 19:37

Oh, don't be embarrassed, ClearEyes. I rabbit away on here all the time, so I hardly expect people to remember it all! I AM still tempted to complain, the consultant I went to has loads of positive reviews but I suspect it's all her pals. The next time I would like a personal recommendation really.

You know, I've never had a facial, so that might be nice.

Food wise, had a bit of a crap day. All LC but just not enough of it, been so busy with a deadline. DH is making a salmon and prawn salad for me just now, while I mess about on MN.

NoMore, my big goal for November is to make it to the 50lb mark. I'm currently losing about a pound a week, and have 5 lbs to go so it should just about be feasible. The embarrassing thing is that at that point I will still have another stone to go to squeak into a normal BMI, and ideally would like to be in the middle of the range, so probably still got 2.5 stone to go after I get to 50lbs off.

Tottyandmarchpane1 · 31/10/2017 20:40

Off the back of an actual cold which gave me a raging sore throat, I now have a raging sore throat again (one side) and ache all over. Could this be carb flu this far in? I think I am going to hve to have lemsip which I know is a no no as I feel so awful! Gah!!

SoMuchToBits · 31/10/2017 20:44

Hot water with a squeeze of lemon is nice. Why not have one of those plus a painkiller instead of the lemsip?

Tottyandmarchpane1 · 31/10/2017 20:49

somuch yes that would be a much better idea - I clearly have brain fog along with throat! Thanks

starsky22 · 31/10/2017 21:47

creme Congrats! Lovely news!

lenl My hormones were all over the place when I got my first period after DS2, I was moody and horrible to DH for weeks, so don't be hard on yourself, along with a lack of sleep and a poorly baby you will have a lot of hormonal changes going on, which will make things even tougher!

timbuktu I think I will just write this week off and join you all again next week I hope you're just referring to the weigh in and are not going to go carb crazy, because of a weigh in on different scales, whilst wearing clothes? P.S I still carry my colour wallet around with me, hadn't thought about saving a photo on my phone, great idea!

wombattoo hope you are ok Flowers

chinchilla It is definitely a victory and I agree, the not thinking about food all the time is brilliant!

nomore How about the LOWvember November challenge - low for low carb and low weigh ins!

Today:
B fasting
L broccoli soup with crispy bacon
D chicken & broccoli cheesy bake with protein roll breadcrumbs on top

The 1lb I put on is still hanging around and I woke up with an horrendous headache which is probably down to eating carbs at the weekend and then getting used to low carb again. I must remember how this feels as I know I'm going to be tempted this week, due to DS1 birthday this week and party at the weekend, so will be baking and icing cakes and making party food, I will avoid it all! I am also an abstainer, so it's all or nothing for me!

Veryflummoxed · 31/10/2017 22:18

Hope you’re ok @wombattoo

My November challenge is (the same since the start of BC) to get below 13 and a half stone.
I am feeling rather sick and sorry for myself. Treated myself to a Halloween bite of 85 per cent chocolate which turned into rather more than one bite.

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 31/10/2017 22:27

@starsky22 don’t worry I only meant the weigh in! I’m still sticking to the rest of it. I’m gonna see this through to the end!

The November goals was a really nice idea. I think mine is to get into the 160s.

twinkledag · 31/10/2017 22:32

My NOvember goal is to stick with it and not weigh myself till 1 December eeeeeek!

princessbear80 · 31/10/2017 22:40

Trying to keep up with this thread is harder than not eating cake while watching the bake off final.

Creme congratulations! I love hearing pregnancy news, even if it is an anonymous stranger off the internet Grin
Follow how you feel, I hope you have a healthy pregnancy.

Lenl sorry to hear you've had a hard time with your little ones, it's tough Flowers

NSV for me yesterday. I tried on some trousers I was thinking of wearing over Christmas (they're red!) which had previously been too tight. They're already slightly loose so I better hurry up and wear them now.

My LOWvember goals...

  1. Lose 2lb to get me down to 11 stone
  2. Lose another 1lb to get me into the 10s and the healthy BMI category
  3. Exercise at least twice a week (actually working up a sweat or it doesn't count!)
FurryTurnip · 31/10/2017 22:47

Hi all, good to see your November goals, mine is to make it into the 10 stone bracket, which I hope to do as only 3lb off.

Struggling today though. Feeling in quite low mood and very low energy. But resisted all the Halloween crap that was lying around. Did eat quite a lot of dark chocolate though, a whole one of those mini Aldi bars - 9 grams of unnecessary carbs. But at least it wasn't a multipack of Freddo's ( nearly though!)

B: cheesy scrambled egg
L: courgette, mushroom, leek and spinach in creamy stilton sauce with cauli rice
D: 2 boiled eggs
S: dark chololate

Got half a pot of mascarpone in the fridge leftover from a recipe for the family. Any ideas what I can do with it ( other than eat off a spoon with some berries....)

singadream · 31/10/2017 22:49

My November goal is to lose 2kg and for my winter coat to be comfortable when it is done up! Properly lose them. So we hat the scales are consistently 2kg lower than they are now. (My long term goal is 13kg from where I am now)

starsky22 · 31/10/2017 22:50

princessbear oh yes exercise, I haven't done much recently, definitely need to up that, so will make that my November challenge.

Timbuktu Good to hear!

YoLoNovVitMe · 31/10/2017 23:22

Evening all. Happy Hal-low-een!!! see what I did there? Halloween Grin

Flowers wombattoo

My Low-vember goals are to go to the gym 4 times and to lose 3kg of weight. If I lose 2kg I will still be pleased. And to drink more water. I'm crap at that.

Alternatively, Kokovember everyone!

TimbuktuTimbuktu · 31/10/2017 23:23

Oh yeah I forgot I’m on day 4 of 30 day shred so with two rest days a week that should take me to end of November. I’ll add that one too!

Veryflummoxed · 01/11/2017 02:02

I’m awake now and still feeling sick because of the dark chocolate excess. I had an NSV today as well. My size down shirts arrived and both fit, so I’m double cross with myself. At the same time the reaction to slipping off plan is interesting. Not so long ago that bit of excess choc would have been me on a good day and barely registered. I’m not sure if my body is less able to take the crap or if I generally feel so much better that the reaction to it is far more noticeable. Looking forward to tomorrow

TempusEejit · 01/11/2017 02:09

Hello Very, I can't sleep either! Don't beat yourself up about the chocolate, I bet there was a time probably not so long ago where you wouldn't have been able to eat the 85% stuff at all because it would have been too bitter. So treat it as an NSV that your palate has changed that you can eat lots Wink And congrats on your actual NSV!

TheMonkeysOnTheTable · 01/11/2017 06:13

Morning.
Congratulations Creme. Lovely news.

At the end of last week I had a hungry few days. Now I'm back to feeling stuffed.
Yesterday's food was
B creamy coffee
L prawns in chilli oil, haloumi, chilli sauce mayo and salad
D mousakka (small portion)
I'm not sure I drank enough water (but I am way up on my pre boot camp days)

Today I will drink all the water.
My lunch and breakfast will be similar to yesterday's and I'm thinking omelette for dinner.

juneavrile · 01/11/2017 06:14

My Lowvember challenge is to go to the gym 5 times a week for no less than 40 minutes. It WILL be a challenge.

L: Caesar salad w/o croutons - lots of grated cheese. Greek yogurt.
D: Fried lambs liver and onions with swede mash and greens.

TheMonkeysOnTheTable · 01/11/2017 06:18

My low-vember challenge is going to be to start exercising and to get to 12st9lb or lower.
