Good morning Flowers

So the last thread reached 1000 posts. I don't think that's ever happened on any other Bootcamp! It's a really good sign that everyone is engaged in the process, even if it's not always been from a positive place. If things aren't working for you, please keep reading and posting - even if you just lurk, hopefully the support and advice here will be helpful for you.

But it's a glorious day again, and the sun is shining brightly already and the birds are singing their hearts out. I hope that this translates into positivity and optimism for all of us this week - even if you've been struggling!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

We're past the dreaded weeks 4 and 5 now, so hopefully things will start to get going in the right direction, and you should see the weight move downwards - assuming, of course, that you aren't cheating or allowing carb creep.

Good luck everyone

1lb off this week - that's half a stone since I started! Will update the spreadsheet later.

Happy with slow and steady - promised myself that after the initial woosh I'd be happy with an average of 1lb a week.

Made a lovely low carb meal last night for my Dad (who brought along the dd of one of his old Uni friends who was over from Canada for a conference): a nice piece of beef that was semi-roasted/semi-braised in Madeira and red wine and then rolled in chopped fresh herbs, served with celeriac Dauphinoise and roasted asparagus and a green salad (all from the garden).

Then had a summer pudding served with lots of cream. Very tart as I'd hardly put any sugar in it (and I avoided the bread surround in my portion). (Fruit was all from the garden, which I'd frozen last year or so )

I even served up my fabulous homemade tablet afterwards and didn't have a single piece Grin

Very impressed @prettybird Grin

Hello everyone, I missed last week weigh in as I was away for 2 weeks.
Could someone please add me to spreadsheet (I really can't do it from my phone, sorry)
Current weight 253.4 lbs ( -5lbs over last 2 weeks)

DudeHatesHisCarryOut · 19/06/2017 09:13

I'm continuing to hover around the 10 10 mark (and have been for the last few weeks). I know it's because I had to go back to eating bread for a week because of the blood test, and I decided to end that on a huge high on Thursday night with an Indian (but it was a celebration, and I really don't like the low carb options).

Over the weekend I really wasn't hungry though. Only had one meal on Saturday (some Skyr) and only Skyr yesterday until a late dinner of chicken wrapped in streaky bacon with LC veg. So I'm slightly bemused as to why the scales have refused to shift since Friday but not too bothered.

I am wondering if it's partly the dairy that's to blame (I'm not discounting the carbs I was having, but even before then it was slow progress). Even if it's not in my case I'm just curious: I know you say weight loss can be difficult if you can't tolerate dairy and eat it anyway - I want to know what happens. Especially if you're eating below the calorie requirements anyway. What's the process that stops the loss?

Anyway, another week dawns and this week I WILL lose something.

AdalindSchade · 19/06/2017 09:14

Skyr isn't very good on low carb I don't think. Not enough fat and high carb content. Try switching to total?

AdalindSchade · 19/06/2017 09:15

BIWI explained about dairy st the end of the last thread I think. Something to do with lactose and sugar.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 19/06/2017 09:16

Well done everyone so far. I'm officially not weighing, but hopped on the scales a couple of times this week, no change but I've definitely lost inches, clothes are fitting better and I'm more toned and defined. It's probably down to the 30 day shred! I did level 2 this morning, goodness me, it was hard!

wombattoo · 19/06/2017 09:17

Good morning
There are some fantastic losses.
I have rather unexpectedly lost 3lb this week. It was obviously a visit from the 'whoosh fairy'
I have one week until my holiday so I'm aiming for strict bc this week.
koko Thanks

RubyGoat · 19/06/2017 09:18

Lost about 1 pound this week. I'm happy with that. Yay! Grin

smallhappyflappything · 19/06/2017 09:20

swlondon done

TimeIHadaNameChange · 19/06/2017 09:25

Sorry, forgot I'd NCed. The message from Dude is from me.

Cherrypi · 19/06/2017 09:30

4lb off this week. Total of 9lb. Pretty chuffed. It's partly a correction of 3lb gain last week but still feeling good. Husband has noticed I've lost weight. My aim is to be lighter than my husband as this has never happened before. Another stone to go till then.

Chipsandonionrings · 19/06/2017 09:37

morning all. I am delurking - I have started a few bootcamps but only finished 1Blush

I started with everyone but didn't post as I wouldn't sure I would get this far. I have lost almost a stone and am down a dress size yay!

this is my danger zone as I am now 14st 10 and I struggle to break the 14st barrier - so my plan is to reduce dairy and carry on with the IF. I usually eat in a 6-8 hr window and I plan on doing another 3 days fast as soon as I can build my resolve ( starting is the hardest bit)

I was feeling all loose and squishy but I have tightened up so I guess I have had my whoosh.

as soon as it cools down a bit I am dusting off the copy of 30 day shred.

I had a bbq this weekend and I have been very good, I am learning new recipes ( fat head bagels yum!) and trying to make this a way of life. feeling really postive this time, the fasting is def helping.

well done on everyone's losses and good luck for this week.

wombattoo · 19/06/2017 09:39

Welcome Chips That is a great weight loss. Well done Thanks

glenthebattleostrich · 19/06/2017 09:58

Morning all, congratulations on all the losses.

Spectacular fall off the wagon this weekend, too much pimms and some deserts. Showed I can't be trusted around sugar and alcohol so both are out apart from the 2 planned evenings.

I was Another 2 lb down on Friday but it was back this morning with another friend.

So total refocus this week. Very strict bootcamp. I have a fridge full of egg muffins and other healthy delicious stuff. I'm on my second litre of water and have had my coconut oil to up my fat for the morning.

BIWI, any chance you can shout at me a bit, I need your big stick.

C4pinkwheels · 19/06/2017 10:01

Morning campers,

Wow it's great waking up to all of these success stories, you lot are awesome.

I'm still attached to my ventilator at the moment but this morning my thighs look much smaller, I have no double chin and I've had to tighten the straps on my ventilator mask which means my head has shrunk. I definitely feel squishy as well.

C4pinkwheels · 19/06/2017 10:14

Just caught up on the last bit of the old thread.

Morning everyone,

Some great losses Grin I'm 2.2lb down this week so a total of 13.4lb overall...am extremely happy with this

MOIST · 19/06/2017 10:17

Fabulous people Grin Star

I forgot to weigh in this mornin but fear the wine over the weekend will tell. Will try work scales and do a proper weigh tomorrow.

YoLoZammo · 19/06/2017 10:22

I'm up 1.4 lbs but I knew it would be so. I've been up and down all week and feeling bloated. I blame the heat. or my portion sizes. LC food is soooooo good

Koko and this week will be better! If only the temps would drop, I could do some exercise.

YoLoZammo · 19/06/2017 10:23

Totally remiss of me to forget to say, well done everyone! Not only for losses, or inch losses but also for koko. Yay!

ASDismynormality · 19/06/2017 10:24

dude. I stall when I eat dairy even though the carbs are low. Shame as I would love cream and cheese.

I bought a size 16 swimming costume this morning, I am currently an 18. It will fit for my centre parks holiday in August.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 19/06/2017 10:32

Have just rechecked Skyr: whilst the carbs compare to Total (4.0 vs 3.8) there is virtually no fat in it. Whoops! Hadn't thought to check that. Oh well, shall mix some double cream in it this week and go back to Total next week.

Veryflummoxed · 19/06/2017 10:38

Wrote a long post but couldn't post as thread full and now lost it. Do remember I commented on your plate size Yolo. I said it doesn't look to much to me though others may have different opinions. It's about the same as I have, would satisfy me though I could easily eat more.

Thanks for the new thread BIWI

Well done all.

FinallyHere · 19/06/2017 10:45

Morning all. Such a lovely supportive, informative and busy thread. Im on hols (did i mention that) and the last fews days only intermittently with WiFi and have been missing really on this and the IF threads.

I'm so far back that i want to say great quilts C4 and just all round bloody brilliant Jiminny

Chipsandonionrings me too, this is only the second bootcamp thread that i have stuck with.

I'm taking it easy (a glass of ouzo overlooking the med [did I mention the Med.]) but otherwise trying to keep more or less on bootcamp. I feel sooo different this holiday. Usually on hols. a few days in I have eaten a few sweet things and the 'rage' for more sugar is upon me. All i can think about is the next sweet treat while beating myself up for being weak willed. This time, I can hardly believe that I am really enjoying all the pleasures of a holiday and not overeating.

Thanks to you all (hat tip Stuntnun ) for making it possible.
