Good morning Flowers

So the last thread reached 1000 posts. I don't think that's ever happened on any other Bootcamp! It's a really good sign that everyone is engaged in the process, even if it's not always been from a positive place. If things aren't working for you, please keep reading and posting - even if you just lurk, hopefully the support and advice here will be helpful for you.

But it's a glorious day again, and the sun is shining brightly already and the birds are singing their hearts out. I hope that this translates into positivity and optimism for all of us this week - even if you've been struggling!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

We're past the dreaded weeks 4 and 5 now, so hopefully things will start to get going in the right direction, and you should see the weight move downwards - assuming, of course, that you aren't cheating or allowing carb creep.

Good luck everyone

giraffe. Lovely outfit

grah. I count my morning weigh in as my official one but still check before bed - I can put on 1/2 during the day and lose it over night. I have noticed it depends on the time of the month. I find it interesting.

Giraffeski · 19/06/2017 20:35

Thanks guys- hope I can do it, once the skirt can actually do up it will hang better as well, it's hanging strangely at the moment because of the pleats. I don't normally go for tucked in but if I can manage to do this up it will show off my new waistline!

Mandelinka · 19/06/2017 20:37

giraffe love your outfit

I felt really drained of energy today.
After late breakfast (fried shrooms, courgette, salami and leeks, dolllop of creme fresh) I though I won't feel like eating.
The opposite happened, I was peckish the whole afternoon.
S: few straw/blueberries and cream fresh. Few spoonfuls of my mackerel salad ( this was prepped for tomorrow).
D: Wagamama pad Thai salad - green mixed salad, lot of yummy prawns.
S2: exploded babybell. Peach

Water 3 litres
I thought I will attempt the new 7 min excercise app but have no energy left. Going to lie in bed, drink water and indulge in bit of reading and Netflix

Good night all Easter Smile

HemanOrSheRa · 19/06/2017 20:38

You look really beautiful in that outfit Giraffe. Are you seeing what we are seeing? You aren't bursting out of it at all. You have lovely swishy hair too, I can tell Envy. And good shoulders.

C4pinkwheels · 19/06/2017 20:38

There are 811 days to go until GNR 2019 today I walked about 20 steps with crutches but without splints because it's too hot to put them on. To walk 13 miles I need to walk 26000 steps! Gulp

I can smash this right

I had salmon for dinner with green veg - I could only eat about a third of it but I'm so bloated from drinking water I can barely move.

#myfatcanpissrightoff #namastebitches 💪🏼

FinallyHere · 19/06/2017 20:41

Ohh, lego loving the recipe for 'hairy bar snacks'. We had had a go at making pork scratchings (for the salt, natch.) with no success. That method is very different so shall have a go when we get home. Its important to have something to look forward to, after the hols.

wombattoo · 19/06/2017 20:42

Plymouth Bullet proof coffee is made using coconut oil and unsalted butter. Blend with a hand held frother and it tastes almost like a latte.
Some people use salted butter but I don't like it.

Giraffe the outfit looks lovely

FinallyHere · 19/06/2017 20:43

That made me laugh out loud, RedBeanie

I actually followed the link, thinking there might be a magical new product. Grin

JiminnyCricket · 19/06/2017 20:48

I'm alive Grin

So I just did a session in 32 degree heat, in what is essentially a metal box without air con Hmm.. we were all dripping sweat before we even started and 15 mins in my PT took me and the other transformers outside, made us do star jumps and hosed us all off with a garden hose Grin.. to be fair, we were all really struggling and I reckon I've sweated out about 4lbs in 30 mins!

However, I did every single station and didn't stop and was called 'a machine' during the transformers meet up afterwards Grin

It felt better than Friday and I didn't feel as dead afterwards, I'm putting that down to the peanut butter Grin

PT wasn't lying when she said I'm the heaviest they've ever taken on. Next highest starting BMI is 31 Blush, had a chat with the other guys and other PT's afterwards and a couple of them are also on LCHF. It was lovely to be in a place where LCHF isn't seen as at all odd!!

There's still things I can't do, but PT said she doesn't care as long as I try it and if I can't, we just simplify it, work the same muscles and try again next session. I love that she doesn't patronise me and assume I'll struggle because of my weight, she lets me try.

Anyway, my left leg is really weak compared to my right so my homework is to go up the stairs at work left leg first Grin

Starting 16:8 fasting from tomorrow so I'll have lunch at 12:30 seeing as I didn't manage to get dinner down me until 20:30 Hmm

NamelessEnsign · 19/06/2017 20:51

BlushAngrySad

3.5lbs on. I have been doing 16:8 on weekdays and had lost 1lb after week 3-4 stalling. This weekend was a wedding of close friends. I had some limited choices of wedding/pub food but avoided pastry and limited alcohol to 2 glasses of wine & 1 of bubbly (over 7 very hot hours). I turned down ice creams and cake and all sorts this weekend, though I definitely broke with BC rules (not really by choice).

This morning's weigh in was a very sobering shock. And in the heat my fatness is even more unpleasant and sweaty.

In any case; I broke the rules; I'm paying for it; I'm sad; I'm back on it.

Kudos to all who are sticking to it and seeing results!

dustmotesinthesun · 19/06/2017 20:52

Lovely skirt giraffe. You already look great tbh.

Have had a cool shower. It was bliss. It's getting easier to get in them but that's probably just cos it's boiling. GrinAm already all sweaty and hot again now i'm out.

Jiminny i'm waiting with bated breath to hear details of your torture session.

C4 a cast in this heat must be horrible.

Sorty i can't keep up with everyone. It's great reading everyone's posts. Really helps me get through the day

dustmotesinthesun · 19/06/2017 20:53

Nameless that will be water weight. It's always a bit dramatic seeing it but it'll come off. Don't panic. You did really well getting through the wedding like that. Huge achievement

BIWI · 19/06/2017 20:53

She sounds really good, Jiminny - that's exactly what a PT should do - be there for you, to help you achieve what you can (whilst also acknowledging what you can't - for now!)

Sounds like you had a great session!

Oliversmumsarmy · 19/06/2017 20:59

Yesterday I had a cheese and tomato sandwich about 4pm

a tonne of coke zero and water and 2 apples and 2 bananas in the evening

Today I made a cream cheese and tomato sandwich this morning

i had some strawberries for Lunch

This evening has been a litre of ice cold full sugar apple tango

tomorrow i am going to have salad and quorn sliced fillets

JiminnyCricket · 19/06/2017 21:06

C4 I'm a fat but healthy 26 year old and have no excuse not to be doing this. You are an incredible lady, despite all your challenges you're absolutely smashing bootcamp Star. You leave all of us in total awe daily Flowers

BIWI her other transform victim is a young guy who struggles with confidence. He started off really weedy and lanky on his photo, he's built like a brick shit house now! Grin he was casually benching his old body weight before we had the group session Hmm she's got him on a carb and protein heavy diet to get weight on him because his metabolism is insanely quick.. I thought it was interesting that in the fitness community there's recognition that carbs mean fat gain but not in the rest of nutrition advice! Confused

secretsignal · 19/06/2017 21:08

Mandelinka I had the pad Thai salad in Wagamama today too, defo recommended if you're out and about, prawns chicken and lots of leafy goodness (and a teeny bit of carrot) without a noodle in sight. The sirloin and shroom salad looked good too.

MOIST · 19/06/2017 21:08

Evening all. Hot innit.

B (at 9.30) 2 hardboild eggs and some olives

L. Leftover fathead pizza, half avocado.

S. Celery and Greek yogurt with berries

D. Turkey steak fried in butter, bit of cheese on the top. Fried mushroom and chard.

I am a pig.

RedBeanie · 19/06/2017 21:11

Sorry, I was looking at the per cracker amount and thought I could have one. Guess I've got this all wrong.

JiminnyCricket · 19/06/2017 21:12

Oliversmumsarmy Confused

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 19/06/2017 21:16

Greetings from the fridge like office! Air con is too good and I didn't bring a cardi. I'm actually cold!

B - microwave scrambled eggs & chorizo
L - leftover homemade kebab, bootcamp coleslaw, salad, finished off DD2's cheese (weighed it, it was 5g.)
D - same as lunch as it was so nice. Except I had chilli oil instead of the coleslaw.

Trying not to eat so much cheese.

OldBooks · 19/06/2017 21:21

moist what about that day makes you a pig?

Jiminny I am in awe! And thinking that somehow, somewhere I need to fit some exercise into my life.

Olivers was there some trigger that made you go so off piste?

Question - if you take milled flaxseeds to keep you regular, how do you take them? I usually have them on yog but am going to reduce dairy so yog is out.

MOIST · 19/06/2017 21:25

Old - it doesn't look so much written down. So maybe not such a pig? After 40 something years of bizarre eating I have no idea what's normal.

I am full. My food was good. I am grateful to have had it. Maybe that should be good enough?

C4pinkwheels · 19/06/2017 21:27

Jiminny the spinal cord injury that stopped me moving (the second one) was someone else's fault but I was wholly responsible for stopping my LC eating and then eating exactly the same portions as my 6'3" DH that's a whole foot taller than me. I made myself obese and unhealthy, other people had a hand to play in my mental health problems but at the end of the day I chose to not leave the house for four years. I don't feel inspirational or awesome, but this thread has been so good for me at a time when I really needed a focus.
You are awesome you're doing something about your weight now which will set you up for life, those dogs will need roller skates soon to keep up with you.
