Good morning Flowers

So the last thread reached 1000 posts. I don't think that's ever happened on any other Bootcamp! It's a really good sign that everyone is engaged in the process, even if it's not always been from a positive place. If things aren't working for you, please keep reading and posting - even if you just lurk, hopefully the support and advice here will be helpful for you.

But it's a glorious day again, and the sun is shining brightly already and the birds are singing their hearts out. I hope that this translates into positivity and optimism for all of us this week - even if you've been struggling!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

We're past the dreaded weeks 4 and 5 now, so hopefully things will start to get going in the right direction, and you should see the weight move downwards - assuming, of course, that you aren't cheating or allowing carb creep.

Good luck everyone

Ooohhh Adalind I nearly missed it. First Date Snog!!! Go you!!!

How I miss romance Sad. please provide lurid details so we can live it through you

AdalindSchade · 25/06/2017 21:53

I'm tempted by fathead pizza but I will eat it all. I might make the dough and separate it into very small portions and freeze some.

I will keep you posted! I'm never very hopeful though, dating as a single mum in your 30s is pretty shocking most of the time but I remain ever optimistic

Mandelinka · 25/06/2017 21:54

Adalind what an exciting day you had! When is the second date? Tell us more!!! Grin

AdalindSchade · 25/06/2017 21:57

We haven't arranged one yet! I have barely any free time and he's a chef so not sure when we will fit it in but he seemed keen Grin

Mandelinka · 25/06/2017 22:03

Food day today was bit of a hit and miss. I started ok, DH took us for brunch to a lovely local cafe. Lot of the thing on offer are based around saurdough bread. Ended up having breakfast burrito ( filled with scrambled egg, pulled pork, avocado and sour cream). It was lovely. Also had a late ( enquirer about cream but no luck)
L: half a pepper filled with fried mushrooms with haloumi and cream cheese. Salad
D: sausage. Parmigiana. Asparagus

S: the biggest fail. While chatting with a pregnant friend, ended up having 3 digestives and a small bar of chocolate. My pregnant friend had none...Blush

I was so annoyed with myself so ended up going for a run/ walk. Hopefully burned some of that sinful food.

dustmotesinthesun · 25/06/2017 22:04

Flowers nameless and FlowersFlowersFlowers to you all. I feel much better for your comments. Although i am very far from my correct weight i do wonder if some of my issues right now come from my entire lower body going loose and floppy as the fat prepares to ride off into the sunset. You know the wobbly stage? From here on in i will have more and more loose skin and it's just uncomfortable. I think that's part of it. I just have to be brave and plough on. It will get worse but much better to lose all the fat. Surgery will sort it all out.

Adalind so exciting about the kiss. Dead jealous Wink

And i had a great food day so that's a positive. Zero hunger between lunch at 12 and supper at 7.30. Boom!!

YoLoZammo · 25/06/2017 22:45

Ha, add on another ten years adalind and a few more stones and I imagine it's much harder! I haven't tried yet. Not sure I ever want to be with anyone again. But I wouldn't mind a snog every now and then !

Bibs2014 · 25/06/2017 23:16

I've had a great weekend on track and can't wait to jump on the scales tomorrow! Even had a salad when we went out for dinner yesterday. Love that I don't feel deprived on this 'diet' at all!!

Bibs2014 · 25/06/2017 23:16

PS Are we allowed clotted cream?!???

BIWI · 25/06/2017 23:19

Of course we are! Why wouldn't we be?! Grin

If anyone doubted the week 3 and 4 stall trend, I'm a textbook case (though I gained a bit too). I've just today broken through past the weight I had 2 weeks ago. I do weigh myself more than just weekly. I know, I just can't help it.

YoLoZammo · 25/06/2017 23:36

dust I think that really toning up the muscles under the skin can go a long way towards reducing the skin looseness. Surgery is drastic, so I would try Pilates and strength/toning first. I'm going to do this especially with my arms. My bingo wings could literally give a jumbo jet sufficient lift to get into the air Grin

YoLoZammo · 25/06/2017 23:47

Food log today:
B: 2 boiled eggs, some ham and coleslaw. A creamy coffee.
L: 3 celery sticks loaded with cream cheese and wrapped in Serrano ham. Food of the Gods.
S: 2 small spicy salami sticks from a platter. 2 carrot batons and 2 pea pods. A creamy coffee. A babybel. 2 strawberries. This all sounds a lot when I list it. I was picking in the afternoon, and didn't eat it all at the same time. Maybe because lunch was at 1 and dinner at 9, so a long gap inbetween and DC dinner to prepare, which I picked at.
D: 2 tandoori chicken drumsticks, using Hairy Biker recipe (mmmmmm) and buttered leeks, mushrooms and a tiny bit of red pepper. A creamy decaf coffee.

Not quite enough water today and I've been really good with it the past week. On the plus side, I did a workout video, cleaned the house and walked the dog! Feeling lazy though. Felt lightheaded quite a few times today. Maybe not enough salt?

StuntNun · 26/06/2017 05:12

Dust it does take longer for all the other stuff - the skin, connective tissue, etc. - to shrink back into shape after the fat goes. As YoLo said, exercise can really help. When I reached my target weight I started doing the 30 Day Shred and it made a big difference. I said goodbye to my bingo wings! Toned arms and legs make everything look better.

MOIST · 26/06/2017 06:30

1lb off for me this week. Slow but steady.

AdalindSchade · 26/06/2017 06:34

Nothing off this week. Drank wine on Saturday so pleased to stay the same rather than gain!
Going to make a better effort this week to cut down on cheese. I say that every week

StuntNun · 26/06/2017 06:49

2lb on this week but I'm still sore after starting the Shred again on Saturday so I'm calling water retention due to DOMS and the heat. I feel slimmer around the middle so I'll try on my progress t-shirt again later.

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 26/06/2017 07:10

Namaste Bitches,

OH my miss a couple of days and need 3 pints of water and tea to catch up..

C4 when hubby puts is back to you start saying " ooh nice buns" , " haven't had a bite of a bun like that for a while " and other remarks. that he'll get the hint.

Well I did the cookng and made Flax crackers, and Flax mini Muffins.
The muffins I added almond flour a 1/4 cup of Walnuts smashed in the ninja, taste great with Butter and Cheese. Night snacks 4 of those will be great.

The crackers I added a Montreal all spices mix, so they are well salty and have a nice pepper and garlic taste. Big good with the salads or Stir fry's this week.
Got the whoosh on Thursday I was expecting 3lbs seen another pound after that come off hopng the morning will be good this week.
Perk of weighing multiple times a day or week is you see a low number every now and then and then you know anything higher is water weight.

Good luck KOKO

SayrraT · 26/06/2017 07:16

I think I've had a whoosh Grin 4 lbs off this week! Absolutely delighted Grin

Only 5 lbs away from the scales reading 14 st something, hopefully that will happen on this BC.

GoodBadOrIndifferent · 26/06/2017 07:22

I've lost 1lb in 4 weeks.
I think its time to accept this WOE doesn't work for me. I really wanted it to as it felt sustainable, but nothing's shifting.

AdalindSchade · 26/06/2017 07:25

goodbad
Have you checked against the common issues to see if you are doing any?
*too much dairy?
*sneaky mouthfuls of the kids' carby leftovers?
*too much alcohol?
*too many carbish things (flax bread, protein rolls type of thing)
*not enough fat?
*not enough water?

BIWI · 26/06/2017 07:28

@GoodBadOrIndifferent

Sorry to hear that.

You know the drill - write out for me what you've been eating and drinking over the last few days, and let me see if I can help.

Come and post on the week 6 chat thread

ASDismynormality · 26/06/2017 07:29

Great, I have apparently put in 5lbs over night Confused. Gives me a loss of 0 this week which is better than a gain!

Copperas · 26/06/2017 07:36

Goodbad, have you found any other benefits? After a good first week I seem to be putting on and taking off the same two pounds but I feel much healthier and a load of digestive problems have vanished.
Just back from 2 weeks conference and holiday in Italy and have put the damn 2 lbs back on but that was with three lavish days of fabulous conference food (not the usual experience at all). I restrained myself most of the time . I think the best benefit for me is that I am no longer greedy, and I am sure it was painful carb hunger made me greedy.

Youcantscaremeihavechildren · 26/06/2017 17:26

Day one properror for me today, tricky day at work with even more busy days to come, but I'm determined to stick with it.
B. 2 boiled eggs and spinach which I ate at school after a creamy coffee at home.
Let. Leftover roast chicken, roast veg, lettuce leaf and tuns mayo plus avo.
D. Roast chicken, celeriac mash and courgette.
Did have three cashew nuts when I got in as was starving, plus another boiled egg. Will look like an egg at this rate!

Just struggling for breakfasts really. Thinking omlette that I could make the night before, with ham and veg. Could do with other quick ideas though.
