Morning all.

It's horribly wet and windy here Darn Sarf - bit of a washout this Easter weekend.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for one last time

Not sure how many hardy souls there are left, but hopefully those of you who have stuck the course have had good results.

Once we get to the end of this week, I'll start a general chat thread so that we can carry on logging food, sharing thoughts, asking questions etc.

Not sure when the next Bootcamp will be, but we can use the next thread to keep us going until then, if you want to stay.

Hello is anyone still here?
I'm determined to get back on track, so I have made a lamb, courgette and aubergine curry for my lunches next week. Boiled eggs and hm mayo.
I can do this Grin

BIWI · 03/04/2016 14:21

Sounds lovely!

Phew! Thanks BIWI. Thought I'd spotted tumbleweed blowing through the thread Grin

I've just got home from a week at my mum's house and I'm curious to see what tomorrow's weigh-in will be after a whole week of carby twatdom. Im certainly feeling pretty rotten: tired, grumpy, tummy aches and worse besides or should I say backside. I'm looking getting back to my normal way of eating now. It does go to show how ingrained eating low carb is now. I did enjoy eating fruits such as mangoes and pears but crappy takeaway burgers and sweet desserts aren't enjoyable any more when you're used to eating real food. Give me some pork belly and a pint of water please!

Well, as someone famous once said, 'tomorrow is another day'!

I've been all over the place recently what with my dad, work, FIL and having been really poorly for the last week or so. So all bets have definitely been off from a food point of view!

Back on it tomorrow.

I've been a carby twat too, actually too embarrassed to go into detail but Easter chocs and cake featured heavily Shock

Back to strict BC tomorrow!

BIWI · 03/04/2016 20:32

How to get back on it?

No tips, other than 'just do it'!

Plan for it, just like when you're starting BC for the first time. Get rid of all the possible temptations. Plan your meals, make sure you've got enough stuff in the house to eat well for the next week.

I have a Tesco delivery booked for tomorrow with Peperamis, almonds, macademias and olives so that I have loads of low carb snacks on hand. I know from experience that I'll be peckish and snacking a lot until I get back into the swing of things.

Gcalgske · 03/04/2016 22:09

Yeah wand I agree with stunt, surround yourself with as much good BC food as you need. You'll get back on it soon enough.

I went to Holi today with my daughter and had the most amazing tandoor roast chicken drizzled in ghee. Was brilliant and I resisted all the bad carby things she was guzzling.

Then had pork and beef meatballs over buttery spinach for dinner.

I've found the key to my weightloss (I hope) and that's moderate protein so today was a bit high but I'm trying to be a bit more relaxed at the weekends and just count/ log through the week till I get my head round my new optimum portion size.

Back again after a fortnight absence, seemingly largely eating chocolate and cake, due to a combination of Easter and ds2's birthday - I really can't make cake etc and then not eat any, so I've decided best not to make it in the first place, or just go for it and accept the consequences.

Interestingly, all this excess made me feel rubbish - sluggish and irritable. I find that if I'm eating carbs it's a downhill spiral and I find it really hard to maintain self-discipline, and get that kind urge to graze constantly on rubbish. Back on track from Saturday though so am now feeling better. All the tips on here and sharing are, as always really helpful. Good luck to everyone!

StuntNun · 04/04/2016 09:59

I have eaten a huge quantity of low carb breakfast and I'm halfway through my first pint of water. KOKO!

StuntNun · 04/04/2016 12:41

Roasted nuts, clarifying goose fat, and my lard drippings pot. I love this WOE!

feekerry · 04/04/2016 12:44

Have a bad craving for orange squash today after having loads at a party yesterday Envy

wombattoo · 04/04/2016 17:36

I could just eat those nuts Stunt. Unfortunately, nuts are my 'crack'. I can't stop eating them once I start.

wombattoo · 04/04/2016 17:37

fee Did you beat your craving?

Gcalgske · 04/04/2016 18:16

Hope you are ok fee. Aldi and homebargains have kiddies fruit shoot type things that are stevia sweetened if that helps. They are £1.50 for 4 so I've bought a couple of packs, not for everyday but might just do the trick? Or a cold brewed fruit tea?

Yesterday went pretty well until the evening. We had a guest for dinner and there was dessert, which I thought would be okay seeing as I had been very low carb all day. Only then DH started making frozen cocktails. Nice but grrrr. Back on it today.

nekobus · 05/04/2016 10:26

Good morning all! Back on it properly today, yesterday was ok until we had dinner out at the pub and the choices weren't great. Now I'm all set with a LC shopping done and plans for the next few meals.

I'm also too scared to weigh myself yet, I want to see a whole week of strict BC before I weigh, hoping any damage done over Easter can be sorted this week...

feekerry · 05/04/2016 13:04

Ye I did beat the orange squash need. I weighed in today tho as I always do on a tues and for the first time since 1st of Jan I have gained weight. 1lb.
The wine has been creeping back in even tho food okay.. Odd glass turning to a bottle etc. Back to tee total I think!!!'
