BIWI · 20/07/2015 07:23

Morning all!

Here, for the last time this Bootcamp is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Hopefully the scales will be kind to you for our last weigh-in!

For those of you that are still here - even you lurking at the back! - it would be great to hear how much you've lost this Bootcamp.

And also, we'll keep this thread going for chat - when it fills up I'll start another general low carb chat thread.

Oh poor thumb. Bone broth is the only thing I can really stomach when I'm feeling that way. Hope you feel better soon. Ginger tea is a good shout.
Hope the cheesy veg agreed trash?

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 29/07/2015 08:21

Thanks ladies, I don't have any ginger tea or bone broth but the episode seems to have passed - hurrah! I had fennel tea with fresh lemon squeezed into it this morning, sorted out the vague nausea; and have eaten a stick of celery, couldn't face the egg! but I feel a little better now, so will probably have egg something for dinner and hope that it was just a short-lived "thing". :)

LexLoofah · 29/07/2015 08:33

thumb glad you are feeling better, I find feeling poorly to be one of the biggest challenges on this WOE as fatty eggy things just do not appeal

6lbs hard to believe as only did BC about 2-3 days in that 3 weeks, best I was hoping for was to STS, will move scales today and try tmrmw, don't getme wrong would love it to be right just don't think it will be. And part of me needs it to be wrong as if I lose when not sticking to it I will just give myself permission to stray more often, I need to be scared straight to stay on it really

In other news I am Going to buy first pair of jeans since staring BC in Jan, any brand recommendations for someone on the short side who is wide of hip but narrow of waist? I have never found the right pair really and now I look better I am taking more interest in what I wear.

backonthewagon · 29/07/2015 08:56

I like Ted Baker jeans.

Gcalgske · 29/07/2015 09:27

Can't help lex, but congrats. I have too much weight still to lose to spend anything more than £12 in sainsbos on a pair.
Glad you are on the mend thumb. Fennel tea is yummy.
I have an ice cube tray in the freezer I make broth cubes in. Great for throwing into cooking but also for having broth around when you are feeling dodgy.

backonthewagon · 29/07/2015 13:16

Anyone got on well with cream cheese pancakes? I just tried them with cinnamon and I wasn't impressed. tasted like cinnamon omelette basically.

readyforno2 · 29/07/2015 13:42

Lex, I really like the Eden jeggings in Dorothy Perkins. Not too expensive and wear well

Gcalgske · 29/07/2015 14:28

I like the cream cheese pancakes as a savoury crepe / lasagne sheet / replacement but not in a sweet context. I love them rolled around spinach / ricotta with a cheeky tomato sauce on top.

Beccus · 29/07/2015 14:49

not tried the pancakes, but found oopsie rolls v eggy. omg, mashed swede is food of the gods!

Beccus · 29/07/2015 21:09

has anyone gone from someone who would never skip a meal to someone who does? I have never skipped a meal before, but at times with this woe I have felt from a hunger point of view I could....but mentally I can't get my head around it. I think I just look forward to meals as something enjoyable and I also worry about what I will eat later if I get hungry land I am not at home with my nice low carb meal all ready...or that I will wake up hungry at night. anyone experience similar?

Gcalgske · 29/07/2015 21:31

Yeah beccus I can go for hours before eating, missing meals, where as before I was counting the minutes till my next meal.

trashcanjunkie · 29/07/2015 22:39

Yes missing meals is quite normal. If you eat a good breakfast it can sometimes keep you full right up to four o clock, when you remember there was such a thing as lunch.

Well, the cheesy veg was lovely, but it has been utter bum carnage at my house I'm afraid. Damn damn damn. Honestly, if it wasn't so disgusting, I'd photograph the results and share them on here so you'd all know

Sigh. I have possibly been a right twit, and added feta cubes to our salad this evening. Had garlic infused olive oil in the dressing. With a yellow label rib eye steak fried in butter which melted in the mouth.

Lex welcome home! Fingers crossed your loss is real - that would be so awesome. Good luck finding jeans. I'm a jeans idiot, and long of leg so only buy mine from LTS which is no help.

Thumb, I hope you feel a bit better tomorrow Flowers

Gcalgske · 29/07/2015 23:45

Today:
BPC, Berroca & supplements (evening primrose, probiotic, magnesium, calcium and vitamin d)
2 x cherry toms, 1 HB egg, 2 slices pork belly in chilli powder.
1/2 aubergine stacked with a small tomato, basil made 1/2 ball mozzerella, small portion HM Bolognaise.
Snacky night: 2x cheese strings made into crisps and dipped into jalapeño cheese sauce, 1 square 85% choc

Gcalgske · 29/07/2015 23:45

Hope the feta is kind to you trash. Hugs. Digestive problems are no fun. Xx

backonthewagon · 30/07/2015 09:17

To whoever was asking about jeans. Levi and Diesel jeans are fab too. I go to an outlet place for good prices.

StoneFoxMama · 30/07/2015 09:21

Lex my go to jeans brand is 7 for all mankind but I also have some j brand ones and citizen for humanity high rise ones. I'd also reccomend AG, frame anx rag and bone. Net-a-porter is good for browsing but you really need to try jeans on, whereabouts in the country are you?

Almahart · 30/07/2015 10:06

On the food carry cravings thing - Yesterday we were at a friends and my kids had sausages and pasta and a ring doughnut. They ate loads. As soon as we got in the car they said they were hungry and had some cheese and ham wraps when we got home.

Made me think that they were being affected too

StuntNun · 30/07/2015 10:51

Beccus after I had fathead pizza I did not need breakfast the next day.

StoneFoxMama · 30/07/2015 11:01

Beccus I can go on with nothing till around 10 then have a coffee with cream which means I have a very small, much later lunch which then means I'm not so hungry for supper so that isn't big either.

Tillli · 30/07/2015 11:27

Helloooo, can I join please. I know this is the ongoing chat thread but that suits me fine as I am starting today and there is bound to be some stop and starting going on. Need to look through the recipes too. Smile

trashcanjunkie · 30/07/2015 12:27

Of course tillli welcome aboard.

Thanks gcal I think I've got away with the feta Grin

Have remembered to take my vitamins today. I'm in slight disbelief that they can make such a huge difference on a day to day basis..... No vitamins = nanna nap, whereas vitamins = manage to make it through the day Hmm I wonder if it's psychosomatic or really real. That said, I'm writing from my bed!!!

billabye · 30/07/2015 12:35

Hi Tilli Smile

BeyondTheWall · 30/07/2015 12:36

Hi :)

(I am still here, just a bit crap at keeping up!)

Tillli · 30/07/2015 13:10

Thank you. Smile I don't eat dairy so milk, cream and cheese are out for me. Just had a rash of bacon, one egg and two small full meat sausages. Yum. Might have a berry smoothie in a minute with just raspberry, strawberry, blueberry and cherries whizzed up for one second. Im probably doing bootcamp lightish for now as with not having dairy and too much fat not agreeing with me I need to make sure I get calories from somewhere.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 30/07/2015 13:33

Evening all! (yes I know it's still middle of the day for you Wink)

trashie - hope you're feeling better today. I had a recurrence of the Trouble this morning, exactly the same as yesterday - 3 trips to the loo in short order, ghastly mess - then nothing all day. Confused? You betcha! Will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings...

I ate better today though, although all morning my stomach felt "frothy", not bubbling or uncomfortable, just like there was froth filling up my oesophagus. Weird (same yesterday).

So - no breakfast owing to weirdness, but had fennel tea to drink. Cheese block for lunch (really not hungry) then cold sausage as mid-afternoon snack.
Dinner was steak with fat-fried mushrooms and veg, and some bean chips, except I cooked them with the boys' potato gems, so they got overcooked and were almost inedible - boo!

Water has dropped off again but things seem to be going ok. Will report back...
