Morning. Apologies for late start to this week's thread, but I'm off work poorly today, and had a bit of a lie-in.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And don't forget the Weight Tracker

Good luck for this week

Oh god. We are stuck in horrendous traffic on the m25. The boys are screaming and ds1 has poured my bottle of water all over himself and is grizzling that he is 'sooooaaaaking wet'. I have eaten all of my snacks. This is miserable.

LexLoofah · 04/03/2015 17:15

mrsk how long to the next services? perhaps a stop and re-group is in order or is the traffic not moving at all?

MrsKoala · 04/03/2015 17:21

We are going to. Ds2 needs a feed and dh is threatening to piss in his coffee cup. I am having to make lots of promises just to keep him from whipping it out. This is just so awful.

readyforno2 · 04/03/2015 18:09

Chester, that's amazing. 4lb?! Just shows what a difference it can make.

Glad you hear everything went well moo, you must have got such a fright!

Food today
Scrambled eggs
Cauliflower and broc soup with crispy bacon, ff yog
Dinner will be burger with salad and some cheese but going to the trainer tonight so will eat when I get back (if I feel like it)

About 2 1/2 litres water so far.. Hoping for at least one more.

Gcalgske · 04/03/2015 18:52

Lunch changed to smoked mackerel mashed with avocado and cucumber crackers.
Dinner: chicken breast with baked feta (in tomato and shallots with oregano and olive oil) plus crispy fried courgette crisps.

First dairy in ages and it was fantastic.

Pleaseandthankyou · 04/03/2015 19:43

Chester wow. that is fantastic. Your vision of what 4lbs looks like has stopped me reaching for the cheese.

MrsKoala · 04/03/2015 20:07

Gcalgske · 04/03/2015 20:19

D - going to give cauli chicken chorizo paella a go

BerylStreep · 04/03/2015 20:28

MrsK enjoy your wine. Tomorrow is a new day. Flowers

SayraT · 04/03/2015 21:15

chester I love your pictures, who would have thought that 4lbs could look so different! Definitely a message to us all when we complain that we've only lost x amount Smile

Just back from first physio appointment (I'd joined the beginners running at work but had major pain in my achilles so made appointment to see about that).

Not really sure how I feel, I think he was very good and do agree with everything he said but still feel a bit Sad He said my flexibility is very good but my alignment, muscle tone and core are not. He scanned (Ultrasound) my achilles and they are actually fine, right a little thicker than left but still normal. SO I don't have a problem with my achilles, just the rest of me!

He gave me exercises to do which demonstrated how one sided I am, left side much better than right and also some exercises to do before I see him in 2 weeks time.

I am not to run until I build up my core and have the alignment correct in my legs/rest of body.

I am also a bit Sad because he said "you are a big girl" which is true so I don't know why I feel sad, he didn't say it in a bad/horrible way just a matter of fact "there is more strain on your tendons etc" its more about how I feel about myself.

Sorry for the essay!

B: Sausages, coffee with cream
L: Soup and salad
D: Courgetti carbonara
S: Two squares hazelnut lindt (12g carbs), babybel

trashcanjunkie · 04/03/2015 21:34

Grrrrhhh poor sayra! It's a very insensitive way of saying 'there's a lot of strain on your Achilles'

And don't get me started on 'girl' ffs you're a lady, and a damn strong one at that!

LexLoofah · 04/03/2015 21:43

oh sayra I have had the matter of fact, ' well you are over weight' from Drs too, like you say not unkind but as they say 'the truth hurts'. On the positive side you/we are doing something about it and good on you for pursing exercise, with any luck you will be back to running soon

SayraT · 04/03/2015 21:46

trash its fine, I knew what he was saying and it all made sense and when I watched myself in the mirror I could really see where I was misaligned. It also made complete sense why I find particular pole moves more difficult.

I am going to work really hard on my exercises so that next time he can see an improvement.

And, although it isn't allowed on MN, I really don't mind being called a girl Grin

I did tell him that I've always had pain when I run even when I wasn't overweight, he said it was more the way I moved that cause the pain than the weight but that it wouldn't help, which is true.

MrsKoala · 04/03/2015 22:35

Oh Sayra, i hate things like that. I get called a 'big girl' and 'amazonian' and occasionally asked if i'm a 'man in drag' when i'm not carrying any extra weight. My friend who alway looks curvy (huge boobs and round face) even when she's well in the healthy bmi got told once from her nurse, after being weighed, 'hmm it's in the healthy bmi, but while you may not need to lose weight for health reasons you may want to for looks reasons, so why not come along to my clinic on wednesdays' Shock

trashcanjunkie · 04/03/2015 22:58

Hey we should start a physio excercise support thread. Every time you complete a set you come and log it on the thread! I despise physio, even though I know it's helping.

Me and ds2 are constantly physio-ing for one thing or another. My current ones are balancing on one foot with eyes shut, and tippy toes then back down slowly, plus various calf stretches. I've still got one calf noticeably smaller. Thing is, I want the big calf to slim down to match it Grin

Funny enough, I don't mind being called girl, or any kind of frank discussion about my weight affecting my health - until I randomly do and then a tiny slight can grow into a hornet sting!

Gcalgske · 04/03/2015 23:10

People can just be cheeky sh*ts. What I hate is when a Dr or nurse says something to me in a really dramatic fashion, as if I'll go "hang on a minute, am I fat? I never noticed!, is that my ass? Just thought there was a big lardy lump following me round" If I am there for pain relief for the express purpose of allowing me to exercise and lose weight then I KNOW I HAVE A PROBLEM AND AM TRYING MY BEST TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Ahhhhh! My physio though is lovely, if a bit tough. She had the same condition as me so takes no excuses. I've lots of Pilates and strength stuff to do for my pelvic floor and continence. It's quite literally a pain in the bum.

BitchyDoesWitchyThings · 04/03/2015 23:27

Sayra I think the allignment issue is huge. And Hugely underestimated! Ds used to wake up screaming about pain in his legs and joints until i got him seen by a physio I trust. Turns out that he was activating muscles in the wrong order when he moved which caused excessive tightness in the muscles which was causing the pain. Exercise to sort out the order of activation and to reduced the tightness and strengthen the muscles and he is right as rain now. And there is no spare meat on him anywhere. Envy Good luck with the exercises. Hopefully you will feel much better for correcting the allignment issues.

LexLoofah · 05/03/2015 01:52

gcal for you. much better in reality than the photo but just to give an idea how it turned out, was very paella-like however I think next time I will stop at the fried chicken and chorizo stage and serve with veg on the side as I think the cauli dulled the flavour somehow. Great comfort food though, one more dish for the rotation

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 05/03/2015 08:13

Grr. Isnt it a pita to have to lower the amount you drink as you are going out later. Going to sit for a tattoo at 11, wont be able to get up to have a wee (and have incontinence problems so no holding it in), so have to get my water down me fast now, before having a decent gap befor i leave to wee it all out!! I'm thinking i'l take my second litre with me, so as soon as shes finished i can start gulping it again Grin

ChesterDrawers · 05/03/2015 08:13

Morning all, saw this on FB this morning and thought I'd share made me Grin

Today's plan:

B: eggs, butter
L: tinned tuna with MH Mayo, salad
D: not sure - off to aldi later so will see

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 05/03/2015 08:15

By the way, those here on various meds, have you noticed that they seem to taste really sweet since you've been lc-ing?

Mrsstevejones · 05/03/2015 08:39

Beyond - i was worried my coated ibuprofen tabs might mess up my weightloss as they tasted really sweet - was very concerned about sneaky sugar but in so much pain i didnt really care.

Drank 3 large glasses of very dry red wine last night and am paying for it today. Is this going to ruin my weightloss for this week??

On the plus side i didnt have any alcohol induced carb munchies, i think i forgot there are wotsits in the cupboard for DS birthday party! I could murder a slice of toast now however. Off to make BPC, that will set me right.

I have a lovely joint of pork to cook today so loads of lovely cracking later.

Good luck everyone
