Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet

And The Weight Tracker

Up at silly o'clock to catch a train to Leeds so no time for anything else.

Hope your weigh-in brings you good news. But if it doesn't - don't fall into a pile of biscuits - come and rant about it here!

The appointments and waiting really add to the stress Nowits if you get the chance maybe you and DM can bugger off to a nice park or visit gardens somewhere for an afternoon, just to have the fresh air and change of scene.

nowitsenough · 25/02/2015 16:27

Yes, just waiting to see if she feels up to it.

LexLoofah · 25/02/2015 16:47

phew just back from the farmers market, good job as was completely out of salad stuff after making today's lunch. Got some lovely long green beans (called snake beans here - kids love them) so will try roasting them as suggested yesterday, sounds great thanks

B - 1 egg fried in butter, 1 prosciutto, quarter avo mashed with leftover butter drippings from the pan, cuppa, BPC
L - 2 little gems drenched in hm mayo, radish, 3 big slices of uncured corned beef spread with horseradish mustard and wrapped around celery sticks
D - will be pork, beef & courgette meatballs from the freezer with buttered courgetti, tom sauce and snake beans poss with a cheeky grating of parmesan

Gcalgske · 25/02/2015 16:49

Is it you mum having the MRI now? Good luck
I've had a few in my time, the last suffering from PTSD induced claustrophobia and it was ok. Lots of deep breathing and meditation. They normally let you listen to music (I was allowed to take my own when I've had scans) and you can ask them to tell you when you can move. Hope it goes ok. X Flowers

Mrsstevejones · 25/02/2015 16:51

NOW- hope your mum is doing ok and today went well.

Green bean chips are intrigued me.... could i make them with frozen green beans or does it need to be fresh???

Out in a bit for my language course with evil tooth ache - emergency dentist tom - yikes.

Dinner will be steak pan fried served with shallowed fried swede chips, tomatoes and peppers and spinach mush. Yum.

Have a great evening everyone

dixiejo · 25/02/2015 16:51

thanks gcal and chester. I'll try both those methods in the next couple of days.

chester you have also inspired me to blow the dust off my kettle bell and get swinging! I'm a bit bored of Gillian and her 30 day shred torture...not because I'm so fit I hasten to add, just because I now know what manner of torture is coming up in the next section.

Flowers and to nowits

BerylStreep · 25/02/2015 17:15

Nowits It is quite loud, but they give you headphones with radio piped through. There is also a call button if you panic, but it's fine (have had 3 MRIs).

Hope your Mum is ok.

I am pretty much the same as you in relation to water - not that fussed on it, and herbal teas taste a bit, well, herbally.

I got ones of these water bottles with a charcoal stick and they do make the water taste nicer. I also like the ergonomic feel to them. TK Maxx were doing them cheap.

My tip is to drink water whilst I am reading the BC thread!

I would recommend the BPC. They taste like a really silky latte. Worth trying, and if you don't like it, you can throw it out.

For those with constipation, my nutritionist person advised taking magnesium oxide (1 tablet at night). It certainly does the trick for me. Of course, worth speaking to someone in the healthful shop to make sure it's right for you / doesn't interfere with meds.

Gcalsk your condition sounds painful. I had (just) a fractured sacrum years ago, and it bothered me for a long time (still does a little if I sit for a while). On the plus side, it sounds like what they are proposing operation wise is a tummy tuck!

BIWI · 25/02/2015 17:21

ijustwantotobeme it's been reported by lots of people that low carbing can help with PMT. The downside of this is that the arrival of a period can often take people by surprise!

sass I'm not sure about stevia. I would have said, initially, that it was OK because it's natural - however, I have had a bad experience with it. Discovered a chocolatier in Bruges that makes the most beautiful chocolates using stevia and thought I'd died and gone to heaven! But actually it gave me terrible stomach pains, indigestion and wind. (I thought I had some kind of bug, except DH reported the same, after I discovered he'd been snaffling 'my' chocolates!).

Started doing a bit of reading and there's quite a lot of negative stuff about stevia:

And here too

I think also it's fair to say that although it comes from a natural ingredient, there's actually a lot of processing that goes into its manufacture.

I wish beryl! I will have horrible loose skin once I've lost weight. It's more of a designer vagina - it all needs lifted and reconstructed in my perineum, pelvic floor and lady bits
. Sorry for TMI!

nowitsenough · 25/02/2015 18:19

Thanks Smile Yes, it's my mum having the scan to determine how far the cancer has spread. I've not heard from her yet, she said she'd call when she gets home.

I do find it easier to drink more water when I drink from a water bottle and I prefer the taste of bottled water, even though I filter our tap water Blush Not drunk enough today, as I've been fairly busy, so will get stuck in now. I'll look out for a bottle with charcoal too.

Romeyroo · 25/02/2015 19:45

now, hope the scan went okay for your mum Flowers

Grin at the thread where we talk shit, sass. I am going to add to it a bit and say I am jealous of those who are, let's say, looser in motion and/or unbunged!! Project de-bung is on-going here, with only limited success so far. Thanks for the tip about magnesium oxide Beryl, will add that to the plan. Still not fitted in the exercise yet due to workload, but doing the stomach massage - some very odd hard shapes in there (poo? Tumour? Something random? TMI).

Okay, B I tried the coconut milk and flaxseed mix, also with some chia - seriously yummy so thank you for that suggestion gcalzske

L smoked salmon flakes, spinach leaves, cucumber and Mayo

D vegetable lasagne

Back eating cheese and too much dark chocolate today. Honestly can say, today is the first day I have thought sod this, I will have a slice of toast. I didn't and won't, but I have decided I need to spend the next week getting back into a healthy sleep routine, de-bunging, getting some exercise, once work stress has died down. It is all a bit all over the place at the moment, so no wonder things are out of sync. Point being, I have resigned myself to trying to STS for a week or two, not lose weight.

Well done to those who have losses Smile

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 25/02/2015 20:34

Flowers to all of you lovely ladies that need some (and those that don't)
Three words
self sabotage, why? Sad
I'm not going to explain why because I honestly don't know. Not giving in though. They won't beat me.

tartiflette · 25/02/2015 21:00

Did someone say self sabotage?!?!

I am having to hold myself back from scoffing everything in sight - just nearly cooked up a pack of bacon for myself in desperation. Am super stressed out about work (kind of in a good way medium term but have some tricky decisions to make fast, and some awkward conversations to have), DH away once again, my body is desperately telling me to BINGE. Such a strange response isn't it.

Anyway I've done some damage limitation with celery and Philadelphia.

trashcanjunkie · 25/02/2015 21:03

I can't understand self sabotage either. This week and last, for whatever reason, I'm 'in the zone'

Food has been near perfect. The two weeks prior to that I ate valentines charbonnel and walker salty caramel chocolates (whole box in one sitting) and various other wankfuckery, to the tune of nearly half a stone gain..... Hmm

Apparently it's something to do with the subconscious decision being mad Ewell in advance of our conscious thought processes. A lovely previous bcer crabby has likened it to our conscious self riding along on a charging wild elephant and attempting to steer the motherfucker....

Mrsstevejones · 25/02/2015 21:03

Evil tooth ache but emergency dentists app tom - i am in so much pain i dont actually care if they give me a filling. Had to leave language class as in so much pain.

Strangely gave me terrible desire to munch, had to pick up milk and it took all my willpower not to buy choc or some other carby tosh. So came home and cooked 4 rashers of bacon with cheese and mayo and had pepperoni and cheese - obvs far too much protein, processed meat and cheese but could have been so much worse. Aaarrgghh, woe is me!!!!!!!!!

tartiflette · 25/02/2015 21:14

Oh MrsSteve that is horrendous poor you x

Trashcan your wankfuckery makes me feel better, I did similar last week and 5lb shot on straight away. I was already in a 3 week stall so really didn't need that. Determined to ride out bootcamp now though. Only need to shift about 7-10lb and shift them I will goddamn it!!

ChesterDrawers · 25/02/2015 21:19

Had an inexplicably bingey day here too. Got through 60g of dark choc and two glasses of red - no reason but just NEEDED something. In bed now out of reach of the kitchen. Drank my water and meals were good so hoping too escape too much of a backlash but still, not a nice way to feel.

Yay to Dixie for the kettlebells revival, I bloody love them. And Flowers to those who need a boost, especially Now and your DM.

Gcalgske · 25/02/2015 21:30

Dinner didn't happen, I felt too SICK at tea time.
Just ate a big lettuce leaf spread with thick butter and a slice of ham rolled up trying to up fat count for the day. Meh!

BitchyDoesWitchyThings · 25/02/2015 21:36

Best way I have discovered for the urge to fall into a pile of chocolate today has been to accidentally pour boiling water over my arm. So much pain I feel to ill to consider chocolate. Not great for the arm Hmm but cured the craving.
I have clearly underestimated this flare up so tomorrow is a stay in bed where it is safe kinda day Grin I mean what harm can i do to myself with a pair of chunky knitting needles. don't answer that i know there is potential Wink

Plan for tomo is
B:scrambled eggs and buttered leeks
L: salad
T:veg and cheese
Lots of water.

CharlieSierra · 25/02/2015 21:43

I might pluck up the courage to weigh tomorrow after my slightly (!) off piste birthday weekend Hmm especially as I am also unbunged!

I was a bit stupid this morning, working from home and didn't eat any breakfast then got so hungry I felt awful 5 minutes before I was due on a call so had yogurt quickly, it was easy to grab but I'm trying to avoid really. Had leftover cottage pie for lunch and a muddy boots burger with green bean fries, a portobello mushroom and a dollop of Mayo for dinner. A bit too much cow today!

BerylStreep · 25/02/2015 21:57

Right, just back from Sainsburys.

Who has been buying all the green beans? There wasn't a single one left in the shop.

I was also disappointed to learn that the only babybels we have are cheddar or original. Couldn't remember which was best, so bought both. Can't remember what it is you do with them either.

FurFoxAke · 25/02/2015 22:10

Evening all! Hope everyone is ok? Flowers to you.

B; few nuts and BPC
D: sausages and coleslaw
T: chicken and mozerella salad.

I tried cocnut porridge. Mmmmm. I used 25 g of coconu, some ground almonds, some flaxseed, ginger and cocnut milk. I liked it enough to mix some up. (50 g cocnut, 25g the others. Well not the ginger obviously...)

I was careful about the amounts but will check the exact amount of carbs later just to be safe.

SayraT · 25/02/2015 22:11

I'm back!!!

Thanks pisses and dixie I'm fine. Just had no internet for a few days and before that I wasn't really feeling too well. THose of you that know me a bit better will realise that I was ill when I say I even missed pole class last week.

Feeling much better but not 100% yet, I think I've had some sort of virus which completely floored me for two days and I'm still getting puffed out sooner than usual when I do anything.

Food has not been ideal but trying to get back on it.

I had my aunt and uncle over this evening and the lovely pair that they are brought me some apples "as we know you don't eat carbs" did have the heart to tell them that apples are also off the list!

Back at pole tomorrow and I'll hopefully be back on track with food too, been ok today.

B: LC cream cheese pancakes
L: Cauliflower and cumin soup
S: Tuna Mayo
D: Crustless quiche with chorizo, vodka mango sorbet, wine, biscuits

nowitsenough · 25/02/2015 22:51

Bitchy ouch! Hope you're ok.

Beryl I can only get original and Cheddar babybel too, I've not seen other sorts.
