Good morning! Already seen that there are some good losses, even for those in the dreaded week 3 Grin

Come and confess all on the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

I love this point in Bootcamp. It's such a leap of faith for so many people when they first start low carbing, because it seems so strange to eat all the fat we're told to eat. But then when the scales show the result, I love it!

Cream & mushroom sauce? Mustard sauce?

I just made chicken with tarragon & mustard sauce, was bloody lovely.

Pisseslikeahorse · 28/01/2015 18:59

As today was a big training day (slow12k - 957cal) I up my feeding, including my carbs, to make sure Im getting enough in. including loading more butter and cream with my coffees.
If I don't do this I become aggressive, easily annoyed and generally short tempered. Something some of you might be suffering...
Also as I was out until the early hours makes it especially important to keep myself going for the day. and yes I'm getting to old for this Wink

B. costa coffee m&s cheese stick (you should have seen me on the tubeGrinmess)
B2. coffee cream, cheese, olives, cucomber, 2 eggs, 3 bacon
L. Cream 'n' peanut butter. Cauliflower
D. Pork chop sprouts cauliflower butter coffee cream
S. Faty bacon bits overcooked in oven
9 pints water

LexLoofah · 28/01/2015 19:19

Pseudo just thought of something not done in ages, wrap fillet in proscuitto or bacon then roast, perhaps open and stuff first with some herbs or something.

would also be nice with boursin sauce

SayraT · 28/01/2015 19:25

I said earlier that I was going to record my meals but I haven't actually done it yet Blush

My meals are a bit odd at the moment as I am seriously skint so once I've gone over my budget its tough!!

yesterday

B: coconut porridge, coffee with cream
L: Spring greens, green beans and bacon all fried in butter
D: Pepperoni omelette
S: Cheese, FF yog

today

B: coconut porridge, coffee with cream
L: Pepperoni omelette
D: Courgetti fried in butter with lime pepper
S: Cheese

Ok, I know that coconut porridge shouldn't be making an appearance until next week but its either that or I do an unintentional egg fast Grin

If anyone has any suggestions for meals I can make from this lot then much appreciated. I am trying to not go to supermarket until Monday.

Asparagus
Green beans
Small amount of spring greens
Pathetic amount of celeriac - past its best
Spinach
Green pepper (x1)
Bacon
Chicken breasts
Chorizo - I think, I might have used this the other night.
Eggs (x10 maybe)
Mini Cheese (x5) - double Gloucester and chives, applewood smoked
Cream

I do have other things in the freezer but they are all big things (leg of lamb, pork shoulder etc) and I don't really want to waste them when I can't do nice things to go with them IYSWIM?

Luckily I only have me to feed so I can just eat random things, I was going to have asparagus with hollandaise sauce but decided that I needed to use the courgette up first. I have the other half for lunch tomorrow.

Actually now I have written out this list I have more than I thought and can make some nice things!

SarahBeenysBumblingApprentice · 28/01/2015 19:27

mrs k I don't have any pork scratching ideas but I trashed the lot that I made today too. They didn't stick to the pan and they were nearly crispy enough but they tasted rank. Nothing like the crackling off a joint. I don't think I put enough salt on and I think my oven was too cool. I'd love to know if you crack it!

PseudoBadger · 28/01/2015 19:28

Thanks Lex (great name!) I was just about to kebab it with boring salad and saw your post. I have pancetta in the oven so I'm going to wrap it in that and roast Flowers

SarahBeenysBumblingApprentice · 28/01/2015 19:31

sayra I would just fry up whatever veg and meat took my fancy that night and add whichever spices seem best. Anything goes with Cajun spice! Then I'd chuck some cheese on top if I weren't dairy free atm. And maybe and egg on top as well.

But perhaps you were looking for better ideas than just chuck it all in! Hopefully someone more imaginative will be along in a bit.

sassandfaff · 28/01/2015 19:45

Evening.

Well, I have to say that I think yesterday and today have been a turning point. I am sleeping like a log, and I'm not hungry between meals at all. If anything, I am struggling to eat at set meal times as I'm not hungry then either really!

B- bacon and eggs
L- cheese scones (only had breakfast at 11)
D- fish melt, feta salad, olives, kale crisps, cheese scones.
S- Greek yogurt, cream and mixed spice.

I've got 3 pounds to go before I reach a1stone loss and I'm hoping I can reach it by the 1st.

I realised the other day that sun 1st Feb will be the end of dryuary, but I won't be able to celebrate as the end of bootcamp isn't until the day after!

Blast. Wink

SayraT · 28/01/2015 19:47

Thats kind of what I was thinking sarah I've run out of real cheese which is Sad the mini cheeses are about 20g each so just for snacking on really.

Everyone at work (old work since I am not employed anymore but still going in to finish writing up PhD) is looking like this Confused at my lunches. Grin

AttitcusFinchIsMyFather · 28/01/2015 19:59

Weighing daily and just not moving. Had lost 11lb, then put on 4lb at start of week 3, lost 2 lb of that on Monday and no movement since. Means weight loss is 9lbs total. Waaah Think I am disappointed as I lost 18 lb in the first 3 weeks of BC last time!

ChippingInLatteLover · 28/01/2015 20:00

sass. Glad you're feeling better!!

Is this something I've missed? Lo carb cheese scones?!

sassandfaff · 28/01/2015 20:19

It's on the recipe thread chipping

Almond flour
Cheese
Baking powder
Egg
Paprika.

And today dp suggested putting olives in 2. Gorgeous. Going to do that in future.

sassandfaff · 28/01/2015 20:22

Fish melt (my made up term) is on there too.
Super easy and delicious.

Mayo, spring onions and Parmesan mixed up, spoon on top of fish. Yummy.

CharlieSierra · 28/01/2015 20:26

Are almond baked goods bc friendly in the first 2 weeks? I didn't think nuts were allowed until bc lite?

Almahart · 28/01/2015 20:29

just he the IPD moussaka omg, delicious. Had two helpings, which was frankly greedy of me. I hope I'm not eating too much

Today
B Total yoghurt with cream and cinnamon
S olives
L salmon and egg salad
S spinach soup with grated cheese
D moussaka with rocket salad

Don't think I want to eat another boiled egg for a while. Haven't really been feeling hungry between meals much at all. My legs feel really weak though

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 28/01/2015 20:33

Vegetarians are allowed nuts on BC I think Charlie

ChippingInLatteLover · 28/01/2015 20:37

sass so is everything else ever known to mankind!! Grin. Thanks for those. I don't eat eggs or fish (or meat/poultry).

FurFoxAke · 28/01/2015 20:41

Hi all.
As ever Just shouting my shit and going!

Breakfast: egg and BPC
Lunch: chicken salad and mayo
Tea: chicken salad and mayo (used it all up so no waste Grin )
Water done. Sipping until bed time now.

I've had a couple of harder days this week, no cheating obviously but it's been hard.
Still, the end goal is worth it in the end, and I have to keep reminding myself why I am doing this.
Good luck everyone, keep going, let's beat those carby fuckers!

CharlieSierra · 28/01/2015 20:48

Sass isn't veggie Bitchy

sass watch out for BIWI's big stick, no nuts for carnivores!

sassandfaff · 28/01/2015 20:57

charlie

I maybe able to avoid it, as I am on week 4 technically. I started 1st Jan.

And apart from shop bought coleslaw once and 2 red peppers in one of my dishes (that made 6 servings) I haven't put a foot wrong.

Grin
sassandfaff · 28/01/2015 21:01

chipping I'm not sure, but would the scone recipe not work with milk instead of eggs? Is it just to bind it?

Thick as fook when it comes to cooking/baking. I spent 18 years being a veggie and missed the vital basics of cooking.

ChippingInLatteLover · 28/01/2015 21:08

sass how did you go back to eating meat?

I'll have a go at the scones when I get a bit further on. I have a feeling I might have tried the last time I was in a BC thread. Recalls a lot of mess and mush?!

sassandfaff · 28/01/2015 21:16

Just got less and less bothered about it chipping kept wanting to eat it but couldn't bring myself too. Eventually tried a very miniscule amount of dp's steak when I was very hungry. Still couldn't eat chicken, sausage and burgers until quite recently. Now sausage is my favourite. Wink

CharlieSierra · 28/01/2015 21:19

Ah you can be forgiven then sass Grin

Last bc I tried an almond sponge from the IPD cookbook, it was ok ish, kind of pandered to a craving for something, but I gained weight that week and sts the next, so I don't trust so called low carb baked goods, they sneak up and cling on for dear life!

Mrsstevejones · 28/01/2015 21:24

Today was a good day, bit mental with DCs hectic social life. First time back in the pool but managed 30 mins. Was starving afterwards then went food shopping that as was a bit of a mistake as bought the whole shop and then had to play fridge tetrus to fit it all in!

B- BPC, 4 rashers of streaky bacon and mayo
L- Green smoothie
S- knob of cheese
D- bacon, chicken and cheese salad, with cheese coleslaw, cucumber and salad with oily dressing and mayo - still stuffed now.
