Evening everyone. I hope you're all ready, prepared and raring to go!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness:

for you to enter your starting weight

Have a good look at the tabs at the bottom, as there you will find the rules, the list of allowed veg and lots of other really useful information.

I've also started the questions thread , so if you have anything you need to ask, that's the best place to ask it. The chat threads move really quickly in the first weeks, so this thread is the best place to ask your questions.

And this time around, I thought it might be useful to have a thread to post about good/interesting low carb products that you come across:

Here

Good luck!

Going to join in, if that's ok. Did BC in 2013, lost over 2 stone and have since regained it :( BIWI you may remember me, I did the 8 hour zumbathon? I still can't believe the energy I had for that, as I was fat-adapted by then. Was amazing!

I have been BCing for the last 2 weeks, 8lbs down already. It was 11lbs but I bounced up 3 lbs overnight! Grr!

Food today -
B - greek yog & chai seeds
L - took a packed lunch to college, crayfish tail mayo in lettuce wraps, salad with olive oil dressing and home made veg soup
S - 2 chicken thighs
D - steak & mushrooms.

AttitcusFinchIsMyFather · 19/01/2015 19:13

For tea drinkers, I would recommend Twinnings Intensly Buttermint tea - tastes just like Murray mints! Its the one tea that lives up to the smell.

Mrsstevejones · 19/01/2015 19:18

Just had dinner chicken and bacon casserole with cream, swede mash with loads of butter and broccoli with loads more butter- yummy. It was very salty so now downing water. I have the desire to eat but its all in my head as i am nicely full and sloshing!

SayraT · 19/01/2015 19:31

Wow the first thread always moves so quickly!!

wirecat, fatstacks sass someone has done it.

That is great mootime sometimes inches go but weight stays the same Confused

harder if you tell me the weight I can add it Smile

lurking you can 'bookmark' the last post you've read. Hover near the right hand bottom corner of the post and a box will come up for you to save the place.

Well done eva on staying at the same weight, I am sure you will get to your previous lowest weight and you can give the rest of us some advice on how to get there in the first place Smile

Added you yong sorry, I don't know why it doesn't work for some people. Are you able to edit it at all...are you clicking return on the keyboard once you've added the weight?

Added you newbie

vdibley try using cream instead, it is lower carb than milk

Added your weight guymartin

Added you trashy sorry can't help with ipad issues Sad I drink hot water (from kettle) every morning.

MrsKoala would DS eat a LC lunch then if he didn't eat you could eat it and it wouldn't be wasted? COuld you give DH some cucumber and pepper (not the lowest carb but better than cake) and mayo (garlic/lemon) for his lunch as well?

Well done project doesn't matter if we are only 15 hours in, if you've managed 15 already then you can do another 15 Smile

Grah yes it is crazy as you've discovered your weight fluctuates throughout the day. That is why is is best to weigh only once per week....if even that much. If you get obsessive about weighing then measuring might be better?

Added you ready

janx BPC is bullet proof coffee, coffee with coconut oil, butter and sometimes cream. It is a good way of getting in extra fat.

Added you best

BestIsWest · 19/01/2015 19:32

Thank you sayra Flowers

FurFoxAke · 19/01/2015 19:43

Ok, so today's food intake had been...

BPC and 3/4 strips of Parma ham. (Emergency breakfast)
One buttery duck egg
Chicken leg (thigh and drumstick), cauliflower roasted in butter.
Decaf BPC.
Chicken leg and green baby leaf salad and mayonnaise.

All my water will be consumed by 8:30-9:00pm.
Does that sound ok?

ClashCityRocker · 19/01/2015 19:45

Has anyone tried this? Thinking of doing it as a lunch....

Blitzing cauliflower, nuking, then frying it in a little oil so the bits go crisp and adding in some low carb veg and chorizo - thought it might bea bit like a cous cous salad maybe?

Suspect I will soon get fed up with eggs...

janx · 19/01/2015 19:47

I just had a fab dinnerGrin.... It was from the recipe thread. Pork slow cooked in coconut milk with ginger. I had it wraith braised cabbage with lots of melted butter. It was divine.

Newbiecrafter · 19/01/2015 19:49

Thanks so much for adding me onto the spreadsheet. Thanks

trashcanjunkie · 19/01/2015 20:01

Aw thanks sayra! I've been drinking out of a tall white ikea cup. Leaving it on the radiator to take the edge off....

Had leftover veg with salmon for lunch. It was swimming in fatty cooking juice, which I basically drank...

Snacked on a rollmop and babybell and am just about to have homemade chicken and mushroom soup for dinner. I have realised mushrooms are mainly just a vehicle for getting butter or fat in....

readyforno2 · 19/01/2015 20:04

Thanks Sayra.
Just home from ballet, not sure if it's high impact enough..

ijustwanttobeme · 19/01/2015 20:14

Today consisted of:

Breakfast: Turkey breast slices x2, a boiled egg and two slices of mature cheddar
Lunch: chicken tikka slices and a salad, with a dollop of guacamole
Dinner: chilli con carne (no kidney beans or rice), a tablespoon of full fat sour cream, and left over vegetable curry that had mostly green beans, okra and chilli.

I checked on t'internet if okra was low carb and it is, right?

Also two coffees, cream, no sugar.

I'd made a fab Greek salad to take into work but left it in the fridge, hence the shop bought chicken and salad.

Is the above ok (ish) for a first day?

SayraT · 19/01/2015 20:20

That sounds nice clash

ready is that at the theatre? I thought about doing it but more for strength (core) and flexibility to help with pole.

Food Today

It wasn't what I'd planned at all as I forgot about a meeting I had to go to and had to do my best with what was on offer.

B: Egg (x2) in a cup, coffee with cream
L: Cream of tomato soup (tomato not the best)
D: To be decided!
S: Slices of cheese, boiled egg

Amaxapax · 19/01/2015 20:22

I can't edit the spreadsheet on my iPad. Would someone please mind adding my starting weight? It's 202. Thank you.

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 19/01/2015 20:27

Attitcus i remember you. You won't recognise me as wearing a different guise these days. I remember you being inspirational, especially motivational wrt the exercise of things. You gave me good advice re training specific stuff iirc.

WireCat · 19/01/2015 20:30

Thanks to whoever added my weight in the spreadsheet.

Day 1 done.
2 hard boiled eggs.
Brie, salad leaves, cucumber & Helmans mayo
40g olives with feta
3 chicken wings and creamy leaks.

Loads of water!

How soon will the carb flu kick in & what can I do about it? Worry about feeling ill when I'm at work.

SayraT · 19/01/2015 20:31

Done amaxapx

spreadsheet stuff

Everyone who is having a problem with editing the spreadsheet I have some questions

What are you using to access the spreadsheet?

Can you edit it at all, i.e. can you type but it doesn't save?

Are you making sure that you 'enter' on the keyboard once you have added your weight?

BIWI · 19/01/2015 20:32

mrsstevejones there's no point weighing yourself now! You'll be weighing not only yourself, but also the food and drink you've consumed so far Grin

Leave it until tomorrow morning, and weigh yourself first thing, after you've been to the loo, and naked.

OP posts:
yongnian · 19/01/2015 20:35

Thanks sayra no can't edit at all anymore, suspect my browser is just too old.
So here 's me
B: ff total clotted cream coconut oil and a dab of whole earth peanut butter (bc lite - bfeeding)
S: pork scratchings
L: salami n leerdamer rolls
D: prawn green Thai curry with coconut milk, cream, and coconut oil. Green beans and romaine lettuce
1 square 90% cocoa choc

About 2 litres water so far, should be nearer 2.5 by bed.
1 slip up which I won't mention...damn you sugar addiction...I will beat you tomorrow!

Been shopping and stocked up.

Can anyone remember the coconut porridge off hand? I will be browsing the recipe thread, but it's pot luck if I find it....

CharlieSierra · 19/01/2015 20:36

Hello all, glad to be back and slightly lighter than when we finished last time (but not much).

Today

B - an avocado
L - tuna, hm Mayo, lettuce, cucumber
D - 2 black farmer sausages, swede mash with butter, purple sprouting

yongnian · 19/01/2015 20:37

lurkingmurking · 19/01/2015 20:38

I've got a horrid headache. Have drunk some salty water bleurgh

Apophenia · 19/01/2015 20:40

I'm putting my original starting weight into the spreadsheet, even though I'm two weeks in. I want to track the pounds lost in total to this WOE, hope nobody minds.

B- Total Yoghurt, double cream and ground vanilla.

L - Leftover Lamb tandoori stir fry from our curry last night. (Was even better next day!)

D - Sunday lunch leftover Chicken and sausage fritatta. Also has leeks, spinach and mushrooms, with mozzarella on the top. I'm having some celeriac chips and delouis mayo too.

Had lots of water, and done two classes at the gym. A good day!! Well done all!

SarahBeenysBumblingApprentice · 19/01/2015 20:42

Evening; hope everyone's first days went well!

I've had a really busy day at work an am falling asleep already.

I haven't updated the spreadsheet yet as I'm on my iPad but I'm starting at 153lb and aiming for 140. This time last year I was 171 and its stayed off thanks to bootcamp! My goal is to have a 140-147 lb "zone" and to stay there- at the moment I really struggle with any slip becoming a carb landslide...

Today
Eggs, mushrooms and leeks for breakfast
Lunch- grated swede and courgette with tuna mayo and vinaigrette
Snack- cheese and 2 pepperami
Dinner- sainsburys chicken, bacon and mozzarella Just Cook chicken with more grated swede and courgette, this time cooked in dripping. Yum

SarahBeenysBumblingApprentice · 19/01/2015 20:46

Sayra I can't edit on my iPad but I thought that was normal?
