Evening everyone. I hope you're all ready, prepared and raring to go!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness:

for you to enter your starting weight

Have a good look at the tabs at the bottom, as there you will find the rules, the list of allowed veg and lots of other really useful information.

I've also started the questions thread , so if you have anything you need to ask, that's the best place to ask it. The chat threads move really quickly in the first weeks, so this thread is the best place to ask your questions.

And this time around, I thought it might be useful to have a thread to post about good/interesting low carb products that you come across:

Here

Good luck!

Yep MrsK but put loads of salt and pepper on.
I dry mine on kitchen roll with a pan on top first then onto a baking sheet, score deeply into small bits and stick it on the wood stove.

janx · 19/01/2015 16:46

What's a BPC?

Fatstacks · 19/01/2015 16:50

I should mention that I did that with pork rind before I was low carbing Blush

If you have the teeth for it and like it extra crispy bake twice, 40 mins first then take it out and break it up, re season and back in for 20.

costababe · 19/01/2015 17:00

So Me Cista and myself are LC at the mo, I've joined you all on the BC as off today,
So far boiled eggs for breakfast, two sausages wrapped in bacon for lunch and a baby bel.
Tea tonight is steak and cauliflower cheese, can't wait!!
Mr Costa is LC but not BC, he struggles when he is working, he's a builder and is slogging hard at the moment, hefty salads with mixed leaves packed with cheese egg and hams are winners so far with sugar free Jellies and a pot of nuts replacing yoghurt and cake. By evening he has small silver skin onions, olives and a couple of cherry toms instead of crisps and he says he's ok re snacking!
So we are all geared up and looking forward to seeing some of all your meals for new ideas.

costababe · 19/01/2015 17:04

Gosh sorry should read Mr Costa, not some weird street way of saying my sister!!Blush

MrsKoala · 19/01/2015 17:06

Great thanks. i chopped it up first tho - does that matter?

Lucki · 19/01/2015 17:16

Well I am cross with myself as I am now six pounds heavier than I thought I was before I weighed this morning. Good to face it though and it's good to be part of this as it's so hard to do alone.
Nice to see familiar names too (I was SuzyMoo last BC's) - Good luck everyone.

Janx BPC is bullet proof coffee but I don't quite know what's in it - I think coconut oil - I am sure someone will come along soon and let us know Brew

TheGrinchWearsStripes · 19/01/2015 17:35

On way home. Underestimated food needs today and am starving. Bizarre, as I ate the same amount I usually do when I am low carbing. Maybe because it is colder? Never fear though, I don't pass a shop between the train and home, so I can head straight for the cheese in the fridge!

costa that really made me laugh!

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 19/01/2015 17:49

Me and mrBeyond (yet another dh on the wagon Grin ) are joining, though less strict as we are already two weeks in. Gonna stay on bc, only exception to the rules being that we may not have three meals every day. Especially so for me, as im usually only awake for 12ish hrs a day!

ClashCityRocker · 19/01/2015 18:04

Arf@ costa

Today's food:

B: BPC
L: Two scrambled eggs with smoked salmon
T: Pollock with herb crust, kale in butter and cauliflower

Water: on 2 litres so far, but will make 3 before I hit the hay.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 19/01/2015 18:05

L - corned beef hash, made with cauli mash and shallots

D - roast quail, broccoli and green beans in cheese

Notsoskinnyminny · 19/01/2015 18:05

Evening ladies, I'm back with good intentions after piling everything I lost in the last BC back on over xmas thanks to alcohol induced munchies.

B - poached eggs
L - swede, chili and matheson sausage soup, courgette muffin and turkish yoghurt
S - buttered roast beef
D - fish and veg
S - bpc
W - nearly had 2l

The turkish yoghurt is from Lidl, they'd sold out of greek stuff, its lovely, 4.2g carbs/100g, and a thicker consistency, think baked cheesecake sorry can't think of anything else to compare it to Blush so I'm less likely to eat as much as it came off the spoon in one go when I was measuring it out so there's no excuse to lick the spoon inbetween spoonfuls must turn 100g into 150.

Another Jillian Michael fan, I'm going to 'shred it with weights' before DS gets home from work and catches me laughs at unfit mother Grin

Wombat22 · 19/01/2015 18:06

Hello everyone. I'm ready for this. Started 2 weeks early but didn't do very well last week Blush
B: Ham slices and hm mayo
L: lamb curry
D: Marinated pork medallions with salad and mayo
S: Babybel

BPC = Bullet proof coffee. Make a black coffee and add a heaped teaspoon of coconut oil and a heaped teaspoon of unsalted butter. Whisk together and it (almost) tastes like a latte. Some people add a bit of double cream Smile

readyforno2 · 19/01/2015 18:09

Food today for me..

B - scrambled eggs with butter
L - bit of a concoction soup from the freezer, broc, cauliflower, chicken, shallots and swede, natural yog with a tsp cinnamon
D - salmon with baby corn fried in butter and swede chips with mayo

At least 7 pints of water, one coffee with cream and one tea

My dh has joined me too although works offshore so he will struggle when he's away.

Going to ballet again tonight although I don't know if it's high impact enough for me. I like to be in a bit of pain after working out.

LexLoofah · 19/01/2015 18:18

Hello all

Have entered my weight, need to lose 40lb to get to my dream/goal target - that is the same as my 4 year old weighs, jeez I am carrying the equivalent of her around on my hips all day, no wonder they are achy!

B- egg, ham and cheese 'muffins', avocado mashed with olive oil, tea w milk
S - BPC
L - Homemade coleslaw (cabbage, turnip, onion, celeriac, fennel) w mayo, ham on spinach 'sandwiches', mini cucumber
D - thinking some sort of creamy cheesy veggie soup

Loads of water and a few cups of rooibos tea

MrsKoala · 19/01/2015 18:19

i bought the shred dvd 3yrs ago and it still has the wrapper on. occasionally i get it out and look at it then i hide it again (knicker drawer usually). it scares me. Blush

LexLoofah · 19/01/2015 18:21

oh yes and have resigned as a member of the clandestine cake club, no room for that in my life now

Littleorangetree · 19/01/2015 18:24

Hello. Good to get started with the bootcamp! Smile

I started LCing on Jan 5th and have lost 6 lbs so far, but I'm mostly doing bootcamp to get rid of my awful sugar addiction and associated spotty skin! Today I've had:

B: some ham and cheese
L: roast chicken salad
D: kippers, cauliflower and cremed leeks

My main problem is trying to drink loads of water. I don't get the chance at work unless I'm on a break. I always end up drinking loads in the evening then having to get up at night needing a wee!

Good luck everyone!

DurhamDurham · 19/01/2015 18:28

Good evening fellow bootcampers Grin

Today I have had

Coffee
Omelette
Avocado
Pork, broccoli, mushrooms

I may treat myself to some smoked salmon later on if I get hungry.
Feeling very full now but not horrible carby full.

Hobbes8 · 19/01/2015 18:32

Evening everyone! Hope you all had a successful first day. This is my second BC, but my first one was a bit patchy. I'd basically lose 3 or 4lb every week and then put 2 or 3lb back on at the weekend. I lost about half a stone overall, but put it back on again over Christmas.

So this time I'm determined to stick to it, through social occasions and illness and visits from my feeder mother in law and everything! The thing is I really like the diet - I don't get hungry, I enjoy the food, I don't particularly feel deprived, but I do find it hard to eat out or cook for visitors. So that's what I need to plan for this time.

Today's gone well:
B - scrambled eggs in butter with leek and kale
L - salad with tuna mayo and anchovies
D - bacon, leek, mushroom and kale with cream and Stilton

I've made kale chips in case of snack attack later. I've probably had too much tea and not enough water but I can work on that.

Pisseslikeahorse · 19/01/2015 18:43

evening all, day one-ish been back on the wagon since 2nd jan

B. Yogurt + cream (I'm finishing up last weeks food)
L. swede, 2 eggs B Sprouts fried with ham
D. Chicken skin / leg cabbage 2 eggs mayo
s. 40g butter slices with marmite / olives

TwoflowersLuggage · 19/01/2015 18:49

Evening all, it's great to be back!
Weighed in at 174.6lb this morning.
And I'm really enjoying reading your menus.

BestIsWest · 19/01/2015 18:51

Hello all.

I can't update the spreadsheet from my tablet so can someone put 231 in for me please. Ta.

I've been able to on previous bootcamps so don't know why it's different?

Just posting my menu for today

B - eggs mashed with butter
L - Chili and lime prawns and salad with oily dressing
D - about to have salmon with butter and a little Boursin. Tiny piece of Brie and salad.

1 coffee with cream, lots of weak tea, 1 litre of water so far.

janx · 19/01/2015 19:05

Thanks for the bullet proof coffee explanation!! Butter and oil in a coffee? Well that would be a new taste sensationGrin
