Evening everyone. I hope you're all ready, prepared and raring to go!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness:

for you to enter your starting weight

Have a good look at the tabs at the bottom, as there you will find the rules, the list of allowed veg and lots of other really useful information.

I've also started the questions thread , so if you have anything you need to ask, that's the best place to ask it. The chat threads move really quickly in the first weeks, so this thread is the best place to ask your questions.

And this time around, I thought it might be useful to have a thread to post about good/interesting low carb products that you come across:

Here

Good luck!

lurking you can also set Threads I'm On to show your latest post on all relevant threads. And repels thereafter.

Thanks SmilePBW I didn't think of logging in the pc.
cant go in the pc room that contains all the forbidden border biscuits and the bloody bailys

galbraith · 19/01/2015 10:43

OK... so I've been easing myself in with a couple of low carb-ish weeks to prevent the dreaded 'carb flu' but I seem to have ended up with a cold anyway!

Today's plan:

B: 2 Spinach and feta egg muffins (just mixed spinach, feta, eggs and baked in a muffin tin).
L: Celeriac and courgette remoulade with some prawns on top.
D: Chicken korma made with coconut milk, cauliflower rice.

Just realised I haven't planned any snacks in - hopefully my lunch fills me up!

I've also got a horrible circuits class after work.. perhaps this will leave me too exhausted to snack? Grin

EvaTheOptimist · 19/01/2015 10:53

I am exactly the same weight today as one month ago (to the decimal point!) Spooky.

I have 7.6lb I'd like to lose, to get back to my previous lowest weight.

It is all of you lot that will give me the moral strength to stay away from the carbs! It is bizarrely reassuring that a load of people I don't know are going through the same thing at the same time...

AlphaBravoHenryFoxtons · 19/01/2015 11:01

B : bacon, swede & spring onion frittata
L : baked salmon with homemade coleslaw (made with swede instead of carrot) and watercress.
D : ?

YoureMyWifeNowDave · 19/01/2015 11:06

Morning everyone

Weighed this morning and i'm a pound up on my weight from the last bootcamp so not too bad Grin

I'm off on a cruise for the first two weeks of Feb but I will try and stick to low carb as much as possible but i will allow myself a few pudding type treats just so i don't lose it completely and nosedive into everything

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 19/01/2015 11:09

Morning! I lurked during the last BC and managed to drop a dress size. I fell off the wagon a bit (but not horrendously) over Christmas, and followed BCL last week and had mild carb flu, so hopefully I've got that out of the way.

I'm not weighing (I get too obsessive about it) but I know that I want to lose a couple more dress sizes. I need to make the change for my health, I don't have any health problems at the moment, but they will happen if I continue to live off of sugar. I enjoyed the lc'ing woe'ing before, so I'm feeling positive about it.

I also started C25K last week, have I bitten off more than I can chew?! Let's hope not!

Thank you BIWI for the thread :-)

yongnian · 19/01/2015 11:34

2lb up on what I finished last time (actually 2lb down because I lost a further 4lb after boot camp last time). Not bad - and this has fluctuated so it should be relatively easy to push off once I focus properly.
My iPad is not playing with the spreadsheet again for me to enter weight. Any tips anyone? Or if some kind soul would...it's 170.
Back later to check in food wise.

lurkingmurking · 19/01/2015 11:37

mrsstevejones how much coconut oil do you put in your smoothie please? Do you cook the kale first?

Hockneypool · 19/01/2015 11:37

Morning

I lurked last time too but thought I would commit this time. Would like to lose 9lbs. So far
B: scrambled eggs and salmon
Black coffee and 1/2 litre hot water
L: left over sausage casserole
D: ?

Newbiecrafter · 19/01/2015 12:01

Hello everyone.
I'm also on an ipad and can't get into the spreadsheet to add my name and starting weight. Can someone help me please? My starting weight as of this morning is 182.2lbs.

Many thanks and good luck to everyone!

Xxx

RatherBeOnThePiste · 19/01/2015 12:03

Tuesday weigher here, so will be back in the morning.

Working my way through the water

lurkingmurking · 19/01/2015 12:14

I have done zero work this morning but have made an amazing two week meal plan!

1.5l of water down

Earlybird · 19/01/2015 12:15

OK, weight added in to the spreadsheet, and I'm ready to go.

The biggest challenges for me will be:

  • drinking enough water
  • will be effortlessly 'good' all day with my eating, and then start craving something to munch/crunch at night when all chores are done, and am watching a bit of telly before bed (usually around 21.00, when I'm a couple of hours past dinner). That is when I'm vulnerable, and where the willpower will need to kick in.

Any acceptable evening snack suggestions much appreciated. Don't want to sabotage myself.

vdibley · 19/01/2015 12:19

Having lurked on mumsnet for years, I'm a bit nervous to finally be posting! 6 months after having my third child I haven't managed to shift any of the extra weight this time. Hoping a bit of motivation here will really help me stick with it, I've got 1.5 stone to lose. Cripes!

I'm on board with the changes I need to make, except I can't bare to ditch my tea with milk. Probably about four mugs a day. Is this bad??

MontserratCaballe · 19/01/2015 12:31

Early bird - how about olives, cubes of cheese, pepperami cut up (not ideal as processed but better than choc) or pork scratchings? Or knitting - this is my bootcamp goal. Stop drinking wine and stuffing my face by busying myself with the needles. Worth a shot? Good luck.

cymrukernow · 19/01/2015 12:33

I followed (from afar) a boot camp about 18 months ago - lost half a stone with seemingly little effort :) and have been eating lo carb since, well mostly, ok not always, and the carb creep ( and diet coke addiction) has got me back to square one. Aiming for 17lbs loss this time Grin

So here we go:
Breakfast - hard boiled egg x 2
Lunch - chicken avocado salad with a little mayo
Dinner - salmon with courgettes

GuyMartinsSideburns · 19/01/2015 12:47

Can't seem to put my starting weight on and don't have time to go grab the laptop so if anyone could put my starting weight in please? - 125lbs. Thanks very much.

I had scrambled eggs with butter for breakfast, and I've made the ipd sausage casserole for dinner tonight. I know sausages aren't ideal at the mo but we already had them and they are decent low carb ones. I really can't drop milk in my tea or coffee though, I hate it without. Hoping that keeping strict with the eating will allow me to keep using it.

Have to run off now to go and view a house, will catch up later. Have a great day all x

EvaTheOptimist · 19/01/2015 12:50

Earlybird evening is my hardest time too. A bowl of Total yoghurt. Or slices of cheese/ a babybel. I need snack ideas too! Olives is probably a good one haven't got any in

Supermum0203 · 19/01/2015 12:51

sayra t
thanks for adding my weight

trashcanjunkie · 19/01/2015 12:52

Does anyone know how to add my weight on the spreadsheet from an iPad?

I'm 231 lbs

Hi five everyone! Woo hoo, and we're off Grin

(Nail polish and crochet stuff at the ready)

Breakfast, mushrooms fried in butter, low carb chipolatas and a couple of bites of scrambled egg with double cream, which I gave to the dog cos I was full.

Liquids so far - massive cup of tea with a splash of Jersey milk, and halfway through first litre of water. It's bloody cold for all the water though.... I think I might start having warm water instead - from the kettle, obvs not the hot tap....

lurkingmurking · 19/01/2015 13:17

Bloody lovely lunch done. 3 chicken drumsticks with a load of roasted veg and spinach. I reheated it and the drumstick fat all sort of melted all over the veg - delish!!

dixiejo · 19/01/2015 13:22

Hello everyone!
I'm looking forward to going on this journey with you all and hope we can support each other along the way.
I lurked on the last few weeks of the previous BC thread and lost a few pounds (which I put back on over Xmas) but I'm committed to sticking rigidly to the rules this time.
I started 30 day shred last week too, so hopefully the combined effort should yield results.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

MrsKoala · 19/01/2015 13:23

I have just realised what will be the hardest part for me. It's not eating DS1s lunch. I know that sounds fezzing. But i don't eat leftovers as such. It's just because i hate waste and we have been on a really tight budget up to recently, and because DS is a faddy fecker, I have developed a habit of waiting till after he has his lunch to have mine. This is because probably 50% of the time he refuses to touch it. Wont even have a bit. So i eat it for my lunch instead of throwing it away and making myself something else. But because it isn't enough, i then supplement it with a sandwich or toast.

Today he has refused point blank to have the pasta and bolognese (that he wolfed down on Friday) for lunch. So it's now sitting there and i have to throw the lot in the bin. It feels so wasteful. But i have to do it. Also i am really hungry as i had my breakfast ages ago.

New rule for me - have a snack or my lunch first so i am not tempted.

Liveinthepresent · 19/01/2015 13:27

Hello all - am so glad it's finally day one of Bootcamp 2 for me! Feeling really positive.
Gained 3 lbs of the stone I lost last time during my month off - which am very happy with as it encourages me I could maintain on this WOE. I would normally gain more at Christmas - but I think I was more restrained knowing it's hard to lose the weight and that the carbs don't make me feel good.

So target this time is another stone - am starting to get a little bit more active ( only walking and yoga so far!) so that may help.
We have booked a holiday at Easter and I am determined to feel ok in a swimsuit this time. First time we have ventured abroad since DS arrived so am very excited.

b ham omelette
L cauliflower cheese
D Thai chicken curry

Good luck everyone and thanks for the thread BIWI - bring it on!
