Evening everyone. I hope you're all ready, prepared and raring to go!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness:

for you to enter your starting weight

Have a good look at the tabs at the bottom, as there you will find the rules, the list of allowed veg and lots of other really useful information.

I've also started the questions thread , so if you have anything you need to ask, that's the best place to ask it. The chat threads move really quickly in the first weeks, so this thread is the best place to ask your questions.

And this time around, I thought it might be useful to have a thread to post about good/interesting low carb products that you come across:

Here

Good luck!

Just come on here to note today's food.
B - eggs mashed with butter
L - greek salad with Feta and spinach
D -went out to a pub for food. Ordered sirloin steak and salad and they had run out of lettuce! The only alternative to chips r salad was creamy garlic mushrooms so I ordered them and they were vile. And the steak was tough as old boots.

So came home and made myself some cheesy garlic mushrooms.

Also had coffee with cream, lots of weak tea and on my 2 nd litre of water.

Are sugar snaps that bad? Not like actual peas are they?

BIWI · 23/01/2015 21:38

No they're not - they're 4.9g per 100g, so not that bad Grin

That's good, I occasionally chuck a few in my stir fry. I'm getting a bit bored of the same bloody veg all the time to be honest, really getting to the point where a bit of carrot seems like a treat (have been doing this since last bc), and swede is starting to make me nauseous. I went berserk tonight and had a slice of tomato on my burger! Those green bean fries were lovely though.

RandomHouseRules · 23/01/2015 22:19

Thanks Charlie! I feel distinctly less mighty now than I did two hours ago. Still naughty though.

Cheesy garlic mushrooms sound lovely, well the homemade ones anyway!

I was in need of a crunchy snack last night, so went for celery stick with Boursin stuffed into it. Yum! Did the job too, which I wasn't quite expecting it to so hurrah!

yoghurt with naughty cherries again this morning for breakfast.

I stepped on the scales as well - 4lb down! Hurrah!

WireCat · 23/01/2015 22:39

Drinking so much water I may float away. But have a headache this evening. Am glad though as now I'm sure ketosis has kicked in.

thenightsky · 23/01/2015 22:45

wirecat I'm headachy too, but loads of water seems to be settling it.

Thumbwitch · 23/01/2015 23:00

I've just had a look to see how bad cherries are - coming in at 4.2g/100g according to lowcarbediem.com/atkins-low-carb-fruit-vegetable-list/ - but was amazed to see how low carb strawberries and raspberries are! Does that mean I can have those in my yoghurt then?

PseudoBadger · 23/01/2015 23:09

Just made DS's birthday cake. Looks yummy Sad

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 24/01/2015 00:33

That oxo cube was really rather epic. One suitably brilliant evening was had although i had to remind myself I am old and can't stay out until 1am then hit tesco and function tomo today. Not sure why i worried though as ds has just got up for the day and is currently watching charlie brown cartoons. Hmm Otoh it was a pretty epic evening and I am in a good mood and have every intention of pinching a corner of his bed to nap on. Thus forfilling my need for sleep and his wish for company. Grin

Quite unhappy with me at the moment. I didn't manage to stick to the plan one day this week. I am busy job hunting and heading off to Abu Dhabi tomorrow for two nights to meet prospective employers. Being unemployed is just not me, while I can manage financially I can't do it mentally. I feel worthless without a job and being stuck in 'limbo' is horrible. Flying out in the morning and then back on Monday for lunch time. I will make next week a better one.

I hope you are all feeling okay and getting on with the plan. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 24/01/2015 01:21

Ow. Awake with awful indigestion :(

Thumbwitch · 24/01/2015 01:24

Pin or reflux, Beyond?

Thumbwitch · 24/01/2015 01:24

Pain or reflux, Beyond?

Thumbwitch · 24/01/2015 01:26

Sorry, pAin Blush

Thumbwitch · 24/01/2015 01:27

Oh goddd, bloody internet!

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 24/01/2015 01:36

Pain, feels like i've swallowed a beach ball. Have taken rennies (are rennies bc friendly?) and had a few rather huge burbs, think i might be able to get back to sleep soon...

Thumbwitch · 24/01/2015 01:47

Oh good - otherwise try warm water with lemon juice. :)

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 24/01/2015 01:48

Ginger tea is supposed to help I think? or is that just for nausea?

Sorry you are in Pain Beyond

Thumbwitch internet is like that blame it on being the middle of the night and we will pretend you are in the same time zone hopes memory has the right person

Good luck with the meeting Movedto

Thumbwitch · 24/01/2015 01:54

Grin - yes you have the right person, Bitchy - and it in fact is my excuse for bloody useless internetz as apparently the reason it fucks around so much is that there is "water in the cables" Hmm

Ginger tea might help too, it's also a stomachic remedy - or go for broke and do ginger AND lemon Grin

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 24/01/2015 02:18

I have a ginger and lemon herbal tea thingy from aldi. I can't stomach but ds loves it. Hmm But to prove he is a normal child ish he was utterly disgusted by the peppermint tea Grin

I am not even going to ask how water has got into the cables. I wish I had a proper excuse and hit ctrl + enter a few to many times because i was impatient and it didn't seem to be posting the post so i end up with random multiple posts. I get impatient a lot. I never learn. Hmm

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 24/01/2015 02:20

*for when I hit ctrl

It has been a long day. I think i might attempt that nap i mentioned. Ds is being suitably educated in old school cartoons. And i have monty python films for him if he runs out of them. Sense of humour will appeal to him as he loves funny walks, puns and literalism

Romeyroo · 24/01/2015 06:24

I hope everyone in this time zone got some sleep! I nearly bought some strawberries last night for DC but baulked at the price so they got bananas and blueberries. Good to know they are low carb though as am cutting DC2s sugar right down.

Charlie, i forgot to say thanks for the coleslaw vs salad in M&S tip yesterday; I had not thought of it that way.
