Evening everyone. I hope you're all ready, prepared and raring to go!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness:

for you to enter your starting weight

Have a good look at the tabs at the bottom, as there you will find the rules, the list of allowed veg and lots of other really useful information.

I've also started the questions thread , so if you have anything you need to ask, that's the best place to ask it. The chat threads move really quickly in the first weeks, so this thread is the best place to ask your questions.

And this time around, I thought it might be useful to have a thread to post about good/interesting low carb products that you come across:

Here

Good luck!

Evening all!
So far so good. No carb flu yet, but my legs do feel heavier IySWIM?

Soooo.
Breakfast: buttery duck egg and a sausage, BPC.
Lunch: pork belly strips and roasted broccoli
Tea: eggy spinachy salad with butter. (I wasn't hungry)
One decaf BPC today, all water down and I'm carrying on sipping until bed now.

Good luck for the weekend everyone, I always find it quite hard at first, but head down and get through it.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 23/01/2015 18:58

I've found bovril/marmite v helpful too. I actually feel less wonky on bc than the rest of the time now. :)

Dinner for me is peri peri chicken salad with garlic mayo. Yum.

BIWI · 23/01/2015 19:00

If you have low blood pressure, then salt is probably helpful as well.

Glad that it helped and you're feeling better!

MrsSteveJones make sure you are paying attention to your hunger and satiety signals and you won't under or overeat. Don't wait until you are starving to eat, if you're pecking then have a low carb snack. While you're eating pay attention to how your feeling, I found that I began to sense that feeling of satiety that I never noticed before. At first I didn't stop eating thanks mum for always making me clean my plate but it was a gradual process of learning that I could eat until I was full and wouldn't die if I didn't eat all the food on my plate.

WireCat · 23/01/2015 19:03

Got a bit of a headache today.
Had 1 low carb sausage, 3 rashers of bacon, 2 eggs & mushrooms for breakfast. Used butter for eggs & mushrooms.

Lunch was a chicken thigh with salad leaves and cucumber. With mayo and a small bit if feta & some olives.

I've got a stew in the oven. Beef with leeks and swede. Used oxo for he stock. Going to have it with creamed spinach. Dh can have mashed potato with his.

Miffy My original diagnosing consultant recommended LC as a way to treat and help. Pain tends to be localised but have suffered from migraines since I was knee high to a grass ant. Hips and back are bloody sore atm though. Slept over 14hrs yesterday too.

BIWI i feel well enough to say fuck it and use the babysitter that was book. Play time ;) So you are an absolute star in my eyes! GrinGrin

Planning on having another oxo cube tonight. I have a tendency of main lining the water rather hard (always have done) so probably shouldn't be surprised I am out of whack. I had hoped that with all the multi-vit and other suppliments I take there wouldn't be an issue. Clearly it is. Never mind lesson learned and it is not difficult to keep an oxo cube with me for colour draining incidents and with stop the helpful souls with their intend need to try to get me to have something carby/sweet Wink

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 23/01/2015 19:15

[lightbulb]

Miffy you absolute genius!!
"cramps and weird palpitations" I have been struggling with this a lot. Genius.

Grin Will get that sorted. Thank you!
RandomHouseRules · 23/01/2015 19:27

Just checking In with food:
B: green eggs (scrambled egg with chopped spinach) and a third of a BF sausage
L: a BF sausage some carrot batons and sugar snap peas- I realise these veg prob a bit carby
D: will be baked salmon with creamed leek and mushroom, and some roasted beetroot.
Enough water I think

Keep going everyone Grin

CharlieSierra · 23/01/2015 19:28

Just made green bean 'fries' for the first time, really good. Had with a muddy boots burger on a buttery portobello mushroom, salad and Mayo.

BIWI · 23/01/2015 19:28

Random! Carrots, peas and beetroot?! That's not low carb!

Good evening everyone, this is Grinch under my shiny new nickname for 2015! I had been wanting to change for a while (to something a little less - well, grinchy ) but inspiration had not yet struck.

We have just finished steak and cauliflower cheese for dinner. It was utterly delicious. Had to nip into Tesco's on the way home for some chicken slices to last me through, but dinner still disappeared in record time!

Bizarrely, I am sure I am fatter (I feel it) but I have lost 3lb. Maybe it's just the pre af bloat Confused

Romeyroo · 23/01/2015 20:09

Bitchy, hope you enjoy your evening

I am exhausted as DS was up since half three; he napped after lunch, I didn't. So muddled through:

B - omelette with spinach and cheese
L - salad (with only one spoon of coleslaw today)
S - cucumber sticks and mayo
D- chicken and courgette with more spinach

Two cups of coffee; one bit of dark chocolate

mumtoblaire · 23/01/2015 20:20

Not planned but wanted to get started today. Shopping later.

B - 2 hertz hotdogs, 2 slice gouda
L - 100gr chicken, 1 tbsp guacamole
S - 2 babybels
W - 3 litre
D - Chicken wrapped in bacon with cheese, cauliflower rice and half yellow pepper.

Duh!!! Forgot to buy eggs.

RandomHouseRules · 23/01/2015 20:28

Argh! Sorry BIWI I knew the carrots and peas weren't good (had very little and it was a bit of a needs-must situation)

I thought beetroot was ok. You have caught me early enough tho - it will remain uneaten!!

Hobbes8 · 23/01/2015 20:35

Evening all. Isn't this thread moving fast? There must be loads of us!

I survived the first day of in laws visit in tact. They had sandwiches, crisps and cake for lunch and I had salad with bacon, olives and Cajun Mayo. They get dinner in their hotel so we had shepherds pie with celeriac topping which was yummy.

Just have to get through Sunday lunch out. We've picked a Belgian place, so I can have yummy mussels cooked in creamy sauce and give the chips to my children. Would it be bad form to slurp the sauce from the bowl, seeing as I can't dunk bread in it?

Apophenia · 23/01/2015 20:46

Evening all.

All good food wise again, maybe slacked a little on the water, but only a little.

Have a weekend of lesson planning ahead of me, and some CPD stuff so will be sat in my kitchen for hours on end. Going for a run tomorrow morning, and perhaps Sunday, weather dependant.

B- total/double cream. (I add ground vanilla but it doesn't flavour it much - what else can I use?)

L- Chicken spinach salad

D- Veg, spicy steak, sour cream and cheese. Yum, but very filling.

RandomHouseRules · 23/01/2015 20:56

Apothem is what about a wee bit of cinnamon?

RandomHouseRules · 23/01/2015 20:56

Should have said Apophenia sorry

costababe · 23/01/2015 21:09

Struggling a little today just because I'm cold and feeling shite! Having twice weekly trips to the Chiro to sort my back out once and for all, however as he says I'll get worse before I get better, he wasn't joking . It's been a long day today .
But
B was 2 hb eggs and butter black coffee x 2
S bacon spinach cheese 'muffin'
L half advocado tin tuna small cubes of cheddar and a blob of mayo
D spicy prawns with piri piri seasoning and fresh chillies served on a bed of buttered spinach yummySmile
Trying to get comfy and watch a dvd of homeland but the electric keeps going out so may resort to an early night!
Hang in there everyone and have a lovely Friday evening.

lurkingmurking · 23/01/2015 21:11

Mascarpone, cream & cinnamon - nom!

yongnian · 23/01/2015 21:13

Evenin all. I ate:
B: ff total dbl cream and peanut butter
S: handful smoked almonds
L: sausage bacon egg & mayo
S: handful macademias
D: bolognese with the beef fried in coconut oil and butter and dbl cream and fresh parmesan stirred through, big spinach and romaine salad with oily dressing
W: 2.5 ltrs
Need more W, more veg and less nuts!
In other momentous news, I weighed and have knocked off the Christmas damage (2lb) plus....drum roll...moved the scales lower than they've been for nearly 6 years!! (another 2 lbs) My weight finally begins with the number of my long-term goal weight. This means I've achieved my short and mid term goals for this bootcamp in five days. My long term goal is to lose another 5lb...so anything beyond that will be an amazing bonus.
I am so so chuffed, and so motivated.
I wore my smallest size skinny jeans in celebration...still a bit muffin-topish but totally wearable now and I totally know I can do this now. I have no smaller size clothes left to squeeze into now (eventually got rid as had resigned myself to being overweight forever) - which means I may even have to buy some at some point!! Grin. This is such a revelation after so many years, especially after not even being able to shop in a lot of places I liked because they don't stock my old sizes.
Can't tell you how good that feels.
I didn't understand before, why, even when I tried, I just couldn't lose weight. Now I know, and what's more, feel I may even have a chance of not developing the diabetes so common in female line of my family.
Awesome.
Let me just take this opportunity to say a sincere thank you to those sharing this journey, it really is having a profound effect on my life.

Apophenia · 23/01/2015 21:14

I'm not usually keen on cinnamon but I'm willing to try. Worried it'll get boring fast if I don't!

thenightsky · 23/01/2015 21:14

Got on scales today to see how I was doing. Have put 2lb on Sad

I have been ultra-strict all week but have not been for a decent poo since at least Monday. I think my 2lb gain is probably the weight of every morsel of food I've swallowed since Monday Grin

BIWI · 23/01/2015 21:20

Lots of water and plenty of fat!!!

OP posts:
thenightsky · 23/01/2015 21:31
