Evening everyone. I hope you're all ready, prepared and raring to go!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness:

for you to enter your starting weight

Have a good look at the tabs at the bottom, as there you will find the rules, the list of allowed veg and lots of other really useful information.

I've also started the questions thread , so if you have anything you need to ask, that's the best place to ask it. The chat threads move really quickly in the first weeks, so this thread is the best place to ask your questions.

And this time around, I thought it might be useful to have a thread to post about good/interesting low carb products that you come across:

Here

Good luck!

A question - I am going to be in Aberdeen all day tomorrow, anyone know what is best to buy from M&S for lunch? Or can recommend anything I should get in my shopping from Costco?

yongnian · 20/01/2015 11:43

atticus I have food envy! Crayfish mmmmmm...

surprisedbyjoy · 20/01/2015 11:46

Attitcus M&S do a greek salad pot which is OK - feta, tomatoes, olives and cucumber with dressing. Carb count is OK. If you're in the M&S café they usually have little pots of prawns with pink sauce which are OK too.

All good with me. Water being drunk and I did 20 minutes walk yesterday lunchtime in the sunshine. No much but better than nothing! Will aim for same again today.

WireCat · 20/01/2015 11:52

Morning all (just)

After 1 day with no carbs, my tummy already looks less bloated.

Have had 2 HB eggs and a coffee with cream.

Lunch will be salad leaves, cucumber and a feta/olive with oil thing.

Dinner will be something with chicken breasts. I've got the rest of last nights creamy leaks to go with it.

If I need to snack then I've got olives & feta & some Brie.

I bought a celeriac today. I've never ever cooked this before. What shall I do with it? Thanks

AttitcusFinchIsMyFather · 20/01/2015 12:08

Thanks surprisedbyjoy!

WireCat this is my fave thing to do with celeriac, the taste is amazing! jensfoodandphotos.blogspot.com/2012/11/celeriac-fondant.html

Our vitamin levels must be through the roof. When we finish this we should take over the world Grin

cymrukernow · 20/01/2015 13:07

projectbabyweight GrinGrin
Today I had
B: boiled egg
L: leek celery chicken soup
Lidl Turkish yoghurt (yummy - just wish I could add some fruit - roll on BC lite)
D: will be chicken stir fry with as much veg as I have left in the fridge ( what with me and the guinea pigs veg supplies are going down fast).
Ran 3 miles today which I've always done a few times a week. Slightly lacking in energy but as I know from previous BC my body needs a few days to adjust to this WoE.

lurkingmurking · 20/01/2015 13:08

I could used to this WOE!

StuntNun · 20/01/2015 13:32

Wow, what a busy thread, is this the most popular Bootcamp yet?

lurkingmurking · 20/01/2015 13:51

*get used

LexLoofah · 20/01/2015 14:09

Atticus celeriac fondant looks luverly, used the last of mine in soup last night otherwise would make that tonight.

B - mushroom & gruyere omelette in butter, raw spinach, cuppa w milk
L - will be raw collard greens with oil dressing, radish, celery, coronation turkey made with sour cream
D - will be stuffed mushrooms topped with cheese, collards and courgettes in butter

Not really feeling the need to snack which is incredible as by 9am would usually be casting about for something to eat and then again at 3pm and possibly when I got home from work ....

Only extra thing I have had is a cup of hot marmite for the salt

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 20/01/2015 14:30

Lunch is only small as dinner is already cooking Grin

L - chicken, celery, cucumber and mayo

D - beef curry, cauli rice and saag aloo

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 20/01/2015 14:31

And im going to make a cup of hot marmite to go with it as that sounds fab :)

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 20/01/2015 14:37

Breakfast : 2 eggs scrambled with a lot of butter in bottom of the pan. 1 cup of coffee.
Lunch: 2 soft boiled eggs and tin of smoked mackrel
Tea is going to be a veg based meal.

I know that the smoked mackrel is not ideal. I have to be a little careful as I had the shakes yesterday and scared a few people who then helpfully derailed me Hmm The mackrel is to up the carb just fractionally to prevent the shakes as i settle back into this properly. Apparently I do death white rather too well HmmBlush

Used the opportunity of a day off to catch up on some very much needed sleep, which was why i was so ill yesterday. No one can function properly on 3 hrs sleep! Nearly drunk 2 ltrs so only another 1 plus to go. However, very pleased that at worst there I will have only drunk 2 coffees. Coffee is my weakness and oh so so bad for bootcamp Blush

Lots of really inspirational food. Just be careful as not all paleo recipies stick to the rules of bootcamp.

Beyond bless ds2. There are paleo versions for the kids and I know from past bootcamps there have been kids who have been converted towards the more paleo way of eating. I can't remember if it was the adam link that had the kids section. Some one might be able to clarify that for us.

TheGrinchWearsStripes · 20/01/2015 16:15

wirecat I am sure my tum is less bloated already too. I noticed this wonderful side effect last time I lc'ed!

mrskoala how was your ds's first day at nursery?

I had to have lunch early as was working 12-4. Salad with mozzarella, tomato and beef. Was delicious, I hoovered it. And 2 litres drunk already. Dinner will be celeriac soup with crumbly bacon bits.

lurkingmurking · 20/01/2015 16:35

It's so much easier to drink water at work than at home! I think I'm 2l down but need much more!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 20/01/2015 16:51

I hope ds'd first day at nursery went ok MrsK, hopefully you didn't spend all morning feeling teary. Or is that just me?!

B - 2 rashers of streaky bacon
L - ledftover roasted chicken and roasted veg with salad leaves and homemade guacamole.
D - cod, sauteed leeks and corn on the cob.

Having just written all of that down I've just realised that sweetcorn is a no no, what a chuffing numpty. Just when you think you've got the LC choices cracked

antimatter · 20/01/2015 17:02

B - 3 hb eggs + butter
L: I took salmon cooked in coconut oil with onion and pepper which also was cooked on the same pan + boiled green beans to work and they were yummy! Just a sprinkle of salt on top.
D: tuna mayo + cucumber

tomorrow - B - same, lunch would be similar but with cauli rice

I need to take food to work so I can have it warm - if I don't i nthis weather somehow I feel like snacking Sad

I do an hour walk at lunchtime too - our offices are by the Thames and in 12 min I am by the river! I am attaching few photos from today's walk.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 20/01/2015 17:08

The kids did join me in the cauli rice, though they had theirs with beans and ikea meatballs. DH accidentally put balsamic vinegar in the saag aloo (doh) so that wasnt so good, but the curry was. DH had his hot, but i mixed a blob of coconut oil and a splash of cream into mine :)

On my fourth bottle of water!! Have an essay to write, am procrastinating by drinking six tonne of water Grin

Pisseslikeahorse · 20/01/2015 17:19

been a long day today... (do you ever remember what it was like before you had kids?)

B. Yogurt and cream (I know, will join in bootcamp proper tomorrow)
7k Run
L. 2 egg mushroom and bacon omelette with spinach and mayo
D. Chilli and cauliflower

TurnOverTheTv · 20/01/2015 17:45

My twice baked cauliflower mash was blardy lovely Grin I had it with chicken and salad.
I'm getting the chocolate twitches. I always struggle on day 2 evening, and all of day 3. I'm going to have a bath and clean my teeth.

Lovely pics antimatter Smile

I'm feeling very full from steak and rocket, hope it keeps me from snacking later.

lurkingmurking · 20/01/2015 18:17

Oh dear, my cauliflower mash is a lumpy mess and a massive cauliflower yielded about 3 florets! Any tips?

Notsoskinnyminny · 20/01/2015 18:23

I turn into a domestic goddess at the start of BC Grin but I need a couple of slaves to clean the kitchen and put everything away as I've just blitzed a cauli into rice and sliced veggies to make a stirfry later. I survived day 1 of JM's shred it with weights so I'm going to give it another go.

Pisses I used to joke I got Wednesdays off for good behaviour as it was the only night mine didn't have an activity after school. On Mondays I was on taxi duty from 3pm until 10pm - school pick up and take DD trampolining 6 mile round trip battling through school run traffic, home, feed DS, pick DD up, home and quick change, take DS to kung fu (same venue as trampolining) while DD ate in the car drop her at guides (opposite direction), home to make packed lunches, back out to pick DS up then wait for guides to finish, finally have a wee at 10pm - they don't put that in the blummin baby manual Grin and have they carried on with any of these activities, no they bloody haven't Grin

TurnOver that looks delicious Smile

TurnOverTheTv · 20/01/2015 18:24

I did mine in the food processor (top left pic on my last post) failing that, hand blender, failing that, hand masher, but that makes it more like rice!
