Evening everyone. I hope you're all ready, prepared and raring to go!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness:

for you to enter your starting weight

Have a good look at the tabs at the bottom, as there you will find the rules, the list of allowed veg and lots of other really useful information.

I've also started the questions thread , so if you have anything you need to ask, that's the best place to ask it. The chat threads move really quickly in the first weeks, so this thread is the best place to ask your questions.

And this time around, I thought it might be useful to have a thread to post about good/interesting low carb products that you come across:

Here

Good luck!

I couldn't agree more about planning, BIWI. It's really important to not get caught short.

lurkingmurking · 20/01/2015 08:01

Feeling fab this morning, took a couple of nurofen for the headache and that sorted me out.

Today I have a kettlebells and spin class.

Food wise I'm planning:

B: 2 eggs fried in butter (feels so naughty!
L: leftover steak with various veg
D: shepherds pie made with cauli mash

Notagainmun · 20/01/2015 08:02

Had a good first day.

Breakfast: 1 sausage and 1 scrambled egg

Lunch: Chicken salad and mayo

Dinner: Pork chop and cauli mash

I went for a brisk walk after work of 3 miles.

Apophenia · 20/01/2015 08:27

Ugh, wrote a post and lost it!

I'm on a course today and don't know what I'm being given food wise. I've just had a huge omelette stuffed with bacon, mushroom, cheese and spinach, that will hopefully tide me over. I've cooked some sausages to take and snack on if I have to.

Have a great day all!

BitchyTakesOnManagement · 20/01/2015 08:28

Morning :) Brew

Pleaseandthankyou · 20/01/2015 08:43

I have been low carbing and maintaining for a while until I hit Christmas and I lost the plot. Now I am thickening round my waist and look poured into my jeans. Tried to start again unsuccessfully over the last few weeks. Now reading every post to keep me on the straight and narrow. This really does work if you follow the rules. I am having problems sleeping which doesn't help with anything. Glad to report a pound off this morning. 13 to go!!

ChesterDrawers · 20/01/2015 08:50

Morning all,

Chilly but sunny here so feeling good after first full LC day for a while.

Today's plan:

B: Eggs, ghee
L: prawns, whole avocado, salad, home-made garlic mayo
D: Chicken thighs slow cooked with tinned toms, leek, mushrooms and courgette, cauli rice cooked in ghee

Kettlebells again later too and planned at least three litres of water.

With regard to the iPad/spreadsheet debate, I can usually update it fine, but it takes a little bit of time. I click on the cell I want to edit and have to sit it out for a few mins. I haven't tried yet this BC as I keep forgetting to add my weight. Hoping it still works though as work have banned me from accessing the spreadsheet on my laptop Shock. I tried on my iPhone yesterday to no avail.

SayraT · 20/01/2015 08:55

I see ready they seem to do classes all over the place but I knew I'd seen them advertised in the theatre.

Oh no chester banned! Grin

Todays Plan

B: Egg (x2) in a cup, coffee with cream
L: Sausages and salad
D: Gigot chop, celeriac mash and broccoli
S: FF yog, bit of cheese - only if required

MrsKoala · 20/01/2015 09:09

Yo morning shout out to Me BC Cistas Wink

Yesterday
B- spinach omelette
L - Tuna salad, olives, gherkins, Mayo
D - Roast chicken, mashed celeriac, broccoli (ipd gravy with a splash of cream)
s - heaped dessertspoon of yogurt

Last night was spent shopping and preparing more food for MrK. As i woefully underestimated how much he eats and he went and got cookies at lunch time Angry . I made 12 mini omelette things for his breakfast this week (3 per morning). Pork mince dim sum (which are yum if i do say so, i will post on the recipe thread once cooking time tweaked). I have also moved him to BC lite as he will jus cheat on this strict BC. So today he has omelettes for breakfast, yog and raspberries for mid morning, left over chicken/celeriac/broc for lunch, beef & veg soup/stew for mid afternoon. Tonight will be a pork belly and smoked sausage spanish stew with steamed greens.

The man in Lidl (i always get the same one) must think i am feeding the 5000. Over the last 2 days i have bought 30 eggs, 6 blocks of butter and 6 cartons of cream Shock .

Hope everyone has a good day. Today is my pfb's first afternoon at nursery. i want to cry, so instead i am trying to distract myself with meal planning and conjuring BC recipes.

TheGrinchWearsStripes · 20/01/2015 09:15

Waiting for shopping to come for the cream...

Week 1 - January Low Carb Bootcamp: and we're off!
PeonyStick · 20/01/2015 09:21

10 pages late ! Eek .... Sorry all _ mad job makes me a slightly hopeless party guest for the first part of boot camp when the activity is so furious and fast !
But I am here and I am sending supportive good low carb wishes to all.
sayra darling ... < sidles up with pitiful look> can you pop 168 lbs on for me .... iPhone/ pad incompetence ....
B - buttery scrambles eggs
L - cold black farmers between meetings
S - broccoli and Stilton soup
Snacks . Babybels in car .... Trying to limit them ... Addicted .

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 20/01/2015 09:22

Haha, balls!!! That is ds's face cause he is trying to steal my food - i though i'd deleted it Blush

galbraith · 20/01/2015 09:40

Today's food...

B - spinach/feta/egg muffin thingy
L - celeriac and courgette remoulade with prawns
D - courgette noodles, feta, avocado

Also, HELP, I have a friend's birthday on Friday night, what can I drink so I don't look like a spoilsport? Soda water with ice and lemon?!

SayraT · 20/01/2015 09:41

Because you asked so nicely peony Grin

Hockneypool · 20/01/2015 09:51

Morning all

Cold, crispy and still snowy here. Managed to survive day 1. Drank loads of hot water - too cold for cold water.

Not good on the food planning but need to get that sorted. Have got breakfast and lunch sorted but need a food shop for later.
B: scrambled egg prefer it with salmon but had run out
L: sardines, avocado and lots of salad

Yoga tonight

Right back to work - hope everyone has a good day

SunshineAndShadows · 20/01/2015 10:02

Yesterday was
B: 2 scrambled eggs with creme fraiche, spinach and mushrooms
L: Broccoli soup
D: Veggie Thai green curry with cauliflower, no rice

Snack: Halloumi fried in butter
Water - hate on it's own but lots of green tea, liqorice tea, and a pint of berrocca

Today's plan:
B: 2 fried eggs, with quorn hotdogs (LC) and half an avocado, coffee with cream
L: Leftover Veggie curry
D: veggie chilli made with soy mince

Does that sound ok? Its my first time on BC and though I've been easing into LC since the beginning of Jan, last week I was ill and overseas so went a bit to pot.

Exercise - 10,000 steps and will get back on the JM shred once I've shaken off this bloody cold!

projectbabyweight · 20/01/2015 10:18

Morning everyone! I'm feeling so positive about this, motivation very high. My lunch will be delayed due to work so I just had a huge and gorgeous breakfast of 3 slices bacon and 2 eggs fried in coconut oil.

Chocolate can take a running jump, I have no need for it anymore Grin

Almahart · 20/01/2015 10:34

Jumping in here, need to add name on spreadsheet.

Have had avocado with vinaigrette, egg and Mayo and celery stick for breakfast. Also coffee with cream

nowitsenough · 20/01/2015 10:40

Sorry I'm late, but can I join too?

I've added myself at the bottom of the spreadsheet, is that right? It didn't ask me to save ...?

I have successfully lost a stone through a low carb diet before, but now am the heaviest I've ever been. I need to lose 2 to 2.5 stone.

I don't exercise, but I do try to have a walk every day.

My downfall is sugar Sad and anything sweet. I'm craving chocolate right now, but am determined to at least stay away from sweet things for a while, I know if I have just one square of dark chocolate it's a slippy slope for me Sad

I may have an issue with dairy, as milk and cream tend to make me feel sick, although I'm usually okay with cheese, but will stay away from that also for a while.

So ...

For breakfast today I had an omelette made with 3 eggs, a little red pepper and onion and 3 cherry tomatoes, with a tsp of mayonnaise. I've also had 3 black decaff coffees.

I've got a big bowl of homemade veg soup in the fridge for lunch this week. For dinner tonight we'll have something with mince, maybe chilli without kidney beans.

Hopefully posting here will keep me motivated not to cheat.

I'm going away for a spa night on 1st March, so would like to at least lose some weight by then, to fit in my swimming cossie! However I will have some alcohol and yummy food that night Blush

lurkingmurking · 20/01/2015 10:40

Another website for recipe ideas nom nom paleo

AttitcusFinchIsMyFather · 20/01/2015 11:39

Breakfast was a cheese & mushroom omelette, lunch will be crayfish tails in mayo on lettuce wraps.
Dinner tonight is going to be gyoza meatballs in asian noodle broth - cant wait! (using the crab free noodles).

Will post photos of my food later, I love getting food inspiration :)
