Great results coming in today, well done!
I'm 1.5lb down,
But looking back def need to up the water,
Struggling at the moment, my bloody backs playing up big time and I just can't manage the pain well, this has me reaching normally for sweet tea and chocolate!! Not giving in....
Have had sweetener in the tea, but am rummaging through the cupboards as I have a plethora of herbal teas, there must be one I like!!!!
Have a good day to all.
And thanks to BIWI for all this

Ruby, I'm also going to be focusing on portion size this week. I think I had a fear of hunger going on last week and not wanting to have a slip because I just grabbed what was available if I got too hungry. Now I know that on this woe hunger is actually not an issue so I'll be shrinking my portion sizes a bit.

Morning
3lb off. Weighed on Friday, daren't today as I had belated birthday delights over the weekend! Was actually 4.5lb off on Friday so I have massaged a bit IYSWIM?! But really pleased, have already lost some as I started a few weeks before.

HolgerDanske · 12/05/2014 09:00

Velocirapture, have you done low carbing before? If not, don't worry about the gain - it will be temporary as your body figures out what's going on, and you will likely see a woosh soon. I know it can be disheartening, but keep with it!

daisychicken · 12/05/2014 09:00

Last bootcamp a poster discussed making Greek yoghurt - I'm just wondering if that poster is still here? I made Greek yoghurt last week and it's just like total Greek yoghurt - yum! It's really thick which makes me think that the lidl version hasn't had all the whey drained off and I used 2 cartons of full fat UHT milk to make a litre tub so 1 litre of yoghurt uses 2 litres of milk and costs £1.90. Just thought some posters might be interested!

Thereinmadnesslies, it's better only to weigh once a week for the simple fact that our bodies naturally fluctuate in weight by a few pounds at a time fairly often. If you are coming up to your period this could be one explanation. This will continue to happen as we go on with boot camp and low carbing long term, which is why the phrase has been coined, 'the trend is your friend' - once you are losing every week or two, a temporary gain is only that, temporary, and you'll be able to see that your weight is still on a downward trend. A woosh is coming soon.

olivesnutsandcheese · 12/05/2014 09:06

Well done all the losers Grin Grin

3lbs down today here which is more than I was expecting as I've been enjoying this woe for a while.

food today will include eggs, mayo, greens, tuna and lamb balls but not necessarily in that order.

outtolunchagain · 12/05/2014 09:10

Forgot to move to the week2 thread , well 3 lb. down so pleased , it's also my birthday and I am determined that by the next birthday I will be 2 stone lighter !

HolgerDanske · 12/05/2014 09:13

You will be two stone lighter a lot sooner than your next birthday Smile

Happy birthday Thanks

I'm off out for a posh lunch today, been booked for ages so it will just have to fit in with boot camp.

Two major problems - firstly it's likely to be v boozy but I have got round that by volunteering to drive.

Second problem is I think it's a set menu, so no idea what I'm going to be presented with. I will try and make sure I'm not hungry before I go, and I'll just have to pick at the right bits on my plate. That's the hard part - I am a 'clear the plate' girl, not a picker. Which is how I ended up so overweightSmile

trashcanjunkie · 12/05/2014 09:18

Here here holger! I am actually up a lb this week, but am not worried in the slightest as I know I'm doing all the right things, but am currently retaining water my tits have inflated to twice their normal size so by next week I should get a whoosh Grin

Had pork curry for breakfast today - swimming in buttery juices with a small green salad in olive oil dressing and a splodge of lidl yoghurt.

Lunch may be the same again, or eggs, depending how I feel. Going to take dcs swimming tonight and do some power lengths while they play, followed by a lovely sauna and steam.

ForeskinHyena · 12/05/2014 09:19

One measly pound down this week, but I know why, so won't beat myself up about it (I'll leave that to BIWI Wink )

I do feel less bloated and the bit between my boobs & my tummy has definitely shrunk so I'm not too disheartened but it would be nice to see the numbers too.

Was inspired yesterday when visiting family to see someone making a weeks worth of healthy lunches all in little foil parcels ready for the fridge for him and his DW. I should be doing that instead of MNing

Well done to everyone who has lost and to those who have tried by sticking to the rules.

outtolunchagain · 12/05/2014 09:19

We booked a holiday last night , just a week in Minorca with the two youngest ( oldest staying at home to work and look after dog ) and I really thought I just don't want to be that fat person on holiday again , it would be nice to buy some summer clothes I felt good in and abandon the baggy stuffHmm

Breakfast today was mushroom omelette
Have had to being in cakes for the office but have packed a couple of babybels as a treat Smile

magso · 12/05/2014 09:23

Well done! Redwhine I am small too so also look very round with not a lot of lbs extra. I want to loose half a stone or so too. I have been roughly following paleo woe for a while, but still looked umm soft and cuddly!
I started part way through Tuesday after catching the thread in active conversations without any preparation ( like suitable thread reading, thinking and shopping). I've lost about 2lb. I think I need new scales as its hard to see the divisions as they are very small.

linesandlines · 12/05/2014 09:24

1lb on. Sad

Please could I have some encouragement? I've been following Bootcamp and then Bootcamp Light for 8 weeks now, and lost 6lbs, never going lower than the weight I reached at the end of week 2. I'm not cheating but am in danger of losing faith.

A typical day is:
B: Lidl FF yoghurt with dash of double cream, handful of flaxseed and 1/2tsp of cinnamon, cup of tea
S: BPC
L: bag of salad leaves & fried chicken or tinned salmon & dressing
D: meat & veg, v small serving of berries (e.g. 3 strawberries) with cream.
Cup of tea in the evening.
Water throughout the day - usually manage 2l but not the 3.5 I ought to.

I was away at a conference this weekend, so had to negotiation hotel food, buffet lunches etc, but was v proud of managing to stay low carb. Off on a business trip to Portugal tomorrow until Friday which will involve unavoidable vino, it's hard not to think sod it and be a properly carby twat.

Could it be that this woe just doesn't work for me? Maybe I should do an Ubercamp fat fast when I get back?

antimatter · 12/05/2014 09:31

linesandlines - drop dairy and fruit and up your water but at least 2 glasses

some people including me would stall on dairy of any kind but perhaps a splash of double cream once in a blue moon

if you can help - for a snack egg would be better than BPC

lowcarbforthewin · 12/05/2014 09:31

1lb off. Pleased, but just nervous I won't lose more. My stomach is definitely flatter though.

Lines, I'm a very slow loser too and it is really hard. Have you got much to lose? That can affect it. Have you tried cutting back on dairy, so no yogurt/cream etc. that can help some people. All I would say is don't lose heart, 6lbs is still brilliant, and if you just keep chugging away that will be a larger number before you know it. If you go 'fuck it' now you'll probably put quite a bit on very quickly and totally convince yourself you can't lose weight. That's always been my problem anyway.

HolgerDanske · 12/05/2014 09:32

If it were me I think I would do uber camp, then stay on boot camp for something like six weeks just to make sure my body is fully adapted. It could be that dairy just really stalls you and you might need to cut out the cream. Do you eat a fair bit of cheese? Could also be your body has a very low threshold for carbs from fruit? I am not a low carb expert but I'm sure one or more of them will be in soon to cheer you on and maybe help with some more specific advice than mine. Well done you for staying with the plan for so long regardless of lack of results!

I am going to try a mix of low carb and IF when I am done with boot camp. My intention is to stay on boot camp for as many weeks as i can, maybe even the full ten, then switch to boot camping in the week and boot camp lite on weekends with a fast on Monday. Maybe something like that would work better for you?

HolgerDanske · 12/05/2014 09:34

Oh sorry, that ^ was for linesandlines.

Forgot to mention the water, very important!

PseudoBadger · 12/05/2014 09:36

Oops just noticed my bloody awful random autocorrect up thread *camaraderie Blush

antimatter · 12/05/2014 09:37

also - if you life depended on it you would not touch wine Smile
just have glass of water instead, there are lots of carbs in a 150 ml of glass (up to 20 g per serving!) and we are talking small glass!

it's just not worth it if the rest of the time you are sticking to the rules

HolgerDanske · 12/05/2014 09:37

Could also be the flaxseed. I think some people have said it completely stalls them.

Lighthousekeeping · 12/05/2014 09:39

3lb down for me. A good week in all. I'm still on nights which I think makes it easier. I have to really watch myself and I have a wedding in Scotland next week. It's going to be so difficult, I've read so much about morning rolls on here. How can I not try them? It would be like going to Naples and not having pizza.

HolgerDanske · 12/05/2014 09:40

Yes and the wine is probably part of it, didn't notice that.
