it does, I don't talk about him really - normally they know I have him and that's all, I call him my son or the boy, don't say his name etc. obv this chap knows his name thou.

i had a pic of me with my dgs as my profile pic on pof and no one actually asked if he was my son so that was rather ambiguous

i assume they thought it was mine son

bf doesnt actually know i am a grandma

well he might have guessed but im not sure i have a cr seat in my car and he hasnt asked whose it is

I've met a very nice one from POF. Yes, really! It's very early days so who knows how it will turn out but they ARE out there.

He is a bit younger than me, no complaints there though as he is absolutely gorgeous

Yes, I can definitely recommend it.

I have been on several dating sites and can honestly say I was very pleasantly surprised by POF. Especially as its free.

I too am (was) upfront about being a single mum, I didn't make a big deal of it IYSWIM but neither did I hide it.

I can't get on with POF at all, i just attract the wrong type on there.

Tbh I have had zero luck with any dating sites, so have knocked them on the head.

Dd2's best friends dad, asked me today if i'd pulled on the hen weekend I went on, and he did look surprised when I said no, so I don't know what it is exactly that I do wrong as people I know seem to think I should have no trouble finding someone.

I've never used an internet dating site, but know lots of people have had success with them.

I met my lovely man in a bar. We were both having a Christmas night out with friends, and I kind of walked right into him on my way to the toilet!

well i had an expensive night my ankle is still noit right and that was 1st december which was a long time ago

in fact i think the 2nd of december was the last time i saw the twat from pof

as opposed to the nice bf

tippy - if there was one like that about i'd have snapped him up by now!

jan - I think that's part of the key isn't it to be upfront but not give too much away when it comes to the little ones. I was once talking to someone on the datingforparents.com who didn't have a child but was saying I really like you and I want you and your son to live with me - (within about 5 mins of speaking - needless to say he was blocked and I left the site) you have to be so careful not only with yourself but your child as well.

oh nutty - give POF another try with a revamped name and all, I didn't have anyone nice at all first time around, second time and within a few hours this new chappy and I were on MSN having a riot!
