oh, glad everyone agrees! no nmn he did not reply, he just waited til this weekend and did the same darn thing! he has pssd my other friend off too as all he does is moan, fair enough he has lots on his plate with a tearaway teenager but he's a Liberal Parent to the nth degree and won't try any other strategy ('poor ds was rude to the policeman when he asked him to put his bong down and go home, but hey i'm trying to give him extra support' kinda thing -aaargh!)
got that off my chest Grin
nmn glad you are on the mend...
betty day off nice one!
dtm so glad dp back soon
hi adams, options are always good Smile waves at everyone else
going to have a look at my potential teaching school this week. HT does not bloody shup up though! memo to self - DIPLOMACY. If you have to get your nose brown, do it!

NOmeansNO · 14/06/2011 18:41

hi all, feeling a bit more normal today! fog is lifting and find myself responding a bit quicker when asked things(always better than the vacant expression i have been sporting since the accident)Grin

booked train tickets south though as not taking any chances that i am unable to fly abroad. £171 to go by train. bloody extortionate!!! but no option as cant fly!had to canx mr depp too! taking it easy this wkd. staying with friend on coast who's good at tlc and rest before we go on hols together.

how are we all???

dtm - about 1 inch shorter than me flat foot.

got texts from kiwi!! he's on a mad dash back to uk before i leave this wkd. He is en route from Cyprus. hits germany today. then needs to get to find a way to get to airport in germany and get to uk! then get to me. lol!! he has 3 days! it's like anika rice challenge Grin

ninah - did you go already to school? or still to go?

OP posts:
ninah · 14/06/2011 23:03

family railcard is your friend if you do that again, i think you can put a couple of adults on that? I don't know for sure but my friend travelled to scotland at easter and saved a bomb
or apex - but let's face it who can think THAT far ahead!
Yes I went to see the school this morning. It's lovely - a town school with a massive outdoors, the children polite and eager to learn, the staff all seemed v friendly. Head kept going on about how they had to decide if they liked me so I just have to wait and see but I'm going in again later in the week to spend time with the mentor.

The other thing was he kept going on about how socially 'diverse' it was in comparison with my 'posh' village school and he obv had no idea I was a single mum who'd been pretty much at the sharp end of 'diverse' in my time! Grin
The thought of the course is a bit scary, in terms of juggling childcare, and finding energy so that i have a bit left over for my own dc. I want to do it but it's that horrible cliff edge feeling (you likethat feeling, I know, lol)
Glad you are on the mend still Smile

NOmeansNO · 15/06/2011 18:22

ninah - it's not that i like the cliff edge. its just that the worst that can happen is you fall over. you just need to get back up and go again. you have to try. Once you get a hang of the balance act you no longer worry about falling as you know you can do it.

you will be fine. sounds like you will enjoy the place you have found. fingers crossed.

so do they tell you what they decide their opinion of you is?? do you get full feedbakc. positive and negative?

i've booked my train tickets now. really just had to get it sorted and booked.

ooh have a lovely relaxing weekend then nmn!
Feedback - not sure! HT wrestled my briefcase away from me saying 'it's not an interview' - and no one's asked me much, more the other way round! hopefully I'll get a better idea tomorrow.
Current HT is completely unreasonable and all the good staff are breeding/leaving - anything to get away! You're right, it'll be good to have it sorted Smile

davidtennantsmistress · 17/06/2011 20:09

hey all, just bringng this to the top of my list again, how are we all? what's happening & where's everyone gone to?

NOmeansNO · 18/06/2011 14:06

i'm en route down to the jarassic coast. Got a massive holdall of sports gear, and a tiny hand luggage of clothes Grin

i think betty was going to alton towers with big scot. I'm very Envy as my concussion is stopping me doing that.

I'll be south till monday before i head out to sunnier climes.

Hows the bump mrst?

Anyone heard from asbm lately? Hows she?

Ninah -so when will u start if u get this place or have u already started?

OP posts:
ninah · 19/06/2011 10:41

hope you are chilling a bit nmn!
I'll start in Sept if I'm lucky enough to go ... went in on Friday and messed up a bit by nervously jabbering, you know when your mouth runs away with you?! it's such a nice school I am tempted to see if they'll take my dc too Smile
yeah, how did it go betty?
not heard from asbm for ages where are you blondie?
waves at dtm and everyone else
oh, when dc saw their dad last my dss came along, dunno what else to call him really, he's fab and I can't bear to put an ex in front - anyway's he's invited us to his 21st which I take as a real compliment. haven't seen him for ages but we never run out of stuff to talk about Smile

Betty79 · 19/06/2011 18:43

nmn-i know you have already gone but hope you have a lovely hols! :)

ninah-fingers crossed about the school, and think its lovely about dss inviting you to his 21st.

Well alton towers was fun, and bigscot is very easy to get on with but...yes there is a but I'm not sure there is that spark. I did look at him a few times and think he's nice looking but his teeth put me off a bit Confused and he's a bit geeky sometimes but that doesnt bother me. I feel so mean saying that as he is a really lovely person! Anyway Im not writing it off, he has asked to see me again and i think it's gonna be tuesday. Do you think it might be a slow burner ladies? There hasnt been any kissing yet either so maybe thats the problem Wink

Had a weekend without dc's too this weekend, and went to a party at a friends last night which was great fun! :) exh introduced his current gf to the girls and for once did it properly, just hoping this one lasts! It feels nice not having any annimosity between us tho, and I even chatted to the girls about how it had gone so they know they can talk about her to me and I'm not bothered. As i see it as long as she's nice to them its all that matters!

NOmeansNO · 23/06/2011 21:05

betty - altn towers sounded fun.

do you think his teeth is a complete deal breaker? are we talking none at all or just a it unsightly? as you say.. might change with kissing. but then again..if his teeth are that bad, do you want to kiss him? can you imagine kissing his rabbit munchers without getting the bowk?

my hols is fab. having a night in house to regroup energies.

OP posts:
NOmeansNO · 23/06/2011 21:06

betty - forgot to ask, how did you all end up at party together? did you know or was it a suprise?

OP posts:
ninah · 23/06/2011 22:55

I can relate to the teeth thing, it would bother me too
nmn you had one with gums, didn't you
but I guess you've had the tuesday date now?

NOmeansNO · 24/06/2011 18:04

oh yes... the bloke who was smiling in pics, but no teeth visible. when i met him he had bigger gums than teeth. tiny little teeth like babies milk teeth, and skint all over the postcodes to boot Confused

... i want to know how tuesday date went too Smile

OP posts:
NOmeansNO · 24/06/2011 18:05

skwint not skint. or should that be squint?

OP posts:
Betty79 · 24/06/2011 18:06

nmn-sorry did that sound like I went to a party with exh and girlfriend lol thats not what I meant. I meant I went to a party whilst he had them overnight!

anyway as for the teeth they are not terrible, they are just crooked at the front and a bit discouloured but then he used to be a smoker. Anyway its a shame as we have got on really well on dates, went bowling with him tuesday and had a really good laugh he makes me laugh and its easy, but still not sure if i fancy him! We did have a little kiss at the end which was nice but a bit awkward lol im not feeling the whole phwoar thing, but then again ive had that before and it just clouds them being idiots!

ninah-any news on the school placement?

I've already opened the Wine tonight, its been a busy week!

NOmeansNO · 24/06/2011 18:17

betty - do you think its a slow burner? or just a non lighting campfire? is there even a flint off the old rock in any sort? how about just being friends? is he a good friend?

OP posts:
Betty79 · 24/06/2011 18:45

nmn-yes I could definately see us being good friends, every time we've been out its been good fun and he makes me laugh :)

davidtennantsmistress · 25/06/2011 08:42

hi all, this dropped off my list!!!

out shopping today for final baby bits so will catch up in a day or so. Hope everyone's ok & has fab dates this w.e.

Betty79 · 05/07/2011 18:31

Just giving this thread a bump, where has everyone got too?

NOmeansNO · 05/07/2011 23:50

hi betty - i'm here for the odd look in.

i have been pre-occupied with biking Grin

found a group of lads (all extremely fit and very interesting but married) who have taken me under their wing and teaching how NOT to fall off my bike.spent every wkd that i have not been on holiday on bikes with them and visiting brewery's after. on sunday i did a very challenging ride and the lads were impressed as i was out with the full group rather than just with the instructor. I think i am offically adopted! They are all a bit nuts and its a good time doing the uphill when the going is tough. they offered to carry my bike at one point and i refused which got me extra points.

whats happening with big scot?

Mrst - how long is dp back for ? is he due out again.

men front here - mr bmx is in NY with work, supposed to be seeing him this wkd. but i am playing with the biking lads, will see what happens.
big ducks(remmeber him from last year... probably not) spent sat night at mine. bit of a last minute thing. dvd and nothing much more.
beachbum - we've had coffee again, but nothing more.
mr depp hasn't contacted me since i canx on him when i was supposed to spend wkd with him before my holidays, i haven't contacted him either.

got 2 papers due in which i'm really delaying on and need get a shift on. thinking of having a break for a month when these 2 finish in september. as i am a little burnt out from studying for almost 3 years without any break at all. i thought about how when your in uni you get the holidays to recover. i really need a month or so only working and not working and studying. brain is frazzled.

not seen some friends in a long time though to be honest. between work/study/bikes there simply is no time.

school holidays are costing me a fortune with childcare! for next 2 months i will be paying the childminder more than i get paid myself! it's crazy. 2 kids full time at childminder.... how do people with twins do it??

cat sitting for the next fortnight though. i dont really like cats. but i do like my friends. and this is first time they have been able to go away for so long because they trust me with them for 2 weeks. must remember to feed them daily Grin
