nmn-yeah a bit if im honest, im a bit iffy about the ex situation and if the story he has told me is true she should have no reason to be so nasty towards him, she should be thanking him. I know that doesnt always happen, but makes me a bit dubious if im honest [hmh]

so come on whats this story with the frenchman??

davidtennantsmistress · 30/05/2011 10:17

hi all, just a quick stop to put this back to the top of my list again. off out today with DS, but will stop in tonight before I hit the books again.

NOmeansNO · 30/05/2011 16:06

betty - i've pm you the story of frenchman. he replied to my text today. he's in middle of nowhere doing his thing that got him on the tv and no phone reception. I was up a mountain bike trail so i never had reception either to reply Grin

i blew off beachbum this morning Shock. Was much more interested in getting my car sorted with a bike rack and heading up that hill.

i'm going to hit the books too. so tired though now. thinking i could also have a wee nap before i go pick kids up Grin

Evening all.

NMN - your posts are making me feel exhausted lol. Mucho domestico drudgery here, trying to keep my mind off things Wink but its not working!

DTM - hope you had a good outing with DS.

Betty - have you heard any more from Bigscot?

Feet up now and crap telly all night worn out.

Betty79 · 30/05/2011 19:20

evening ladies,

nmn-have seen who he is now! ;) wish i could be as energetic as you lol im not really into outdoor sports lol

monty-yeah bigscot is still in contact via text, but I'm finding him a bit odd to be honest. He'll text a few times then nothing for hours even if I sent something that required a reply, and a few times we've been texting then he doesnt reply at all, but will text again in the morning starting a new conversation not mentioning he didnt relpy to me the night before. Is confusing me a bit to be honest? He text me yest asking if I fancied a chatting later seeing as we didnt meet up, so i relpied saying yes when the girls were in bed. I didnt get a reply so I text him something else later and he replied but didnt even mention what he had asked me before? Do you think he's just a typical bloke ie crap with texting or something else (like he's not actually single Hmm)?

Monty27 · 30/05/2011 19:35

Betty - I think that's a blokey thing. But you don't sound too enamoured anyway. It also sounds like you have suspicions. Apart from the text gaps is there any other reason for that? I was texting one a while ago around February and there was the gap thing and not answering questions, and I have to say I decided he was married and kicked him to the kerb. I can't quite remember the details now but I got vibes.

Betty79 · 30/05/2011 20:26

Monty-I do think he's single, cos he told me a story about his ex which is hard to make up, then went on to tell me the story was in take a break last week and in that case why would he tell me as I could easily check. Basically she was really poorly and gave birth to his son 3 months and then was in a coma for 3 months. I havent checked because I couldnt be arsed looking through take a break lol. I think more than likely he is just texting a few people (which is not a problem) and is probably getting mxed up or forgetting who he has or hasnt text. Or he's just a typical bloke. Anyway we'll see! I wasnt actually that bothered about not meeting him, but it irritates me when people dont text u back lol

NOmeansNO · 30/05/2011 21:22

i am not sure betty perhaps once you meet he would be more attentive to your texts. as you say he could be texting a few. but if its putting you off you are less likely to want to meet him Confused

monty - have you been keeping busy working

OP posts:
davidtennantsmistress · 31/05/2011 22:00

betty - sounds like a bloke thing tbh - also benefit of the doubt, DP sometimes doesn't reply to texts - apparently his phone doesn't always send then through or it will do a few days later. so might be as simple as that? have you rearranged?

nmn - looks like you had a good date. Wink

monty - ah I believe you ref forgetting..... how's things in your world?

where's every one else as well all off dating?

the pictures went well, ds had a fab time, they do a kids club here where it's £2.50 for both of us to see a film with free parking. haven't managed to do any more studying as have been busy sorting the house for the 1/4 inspection from MIL. lol. hopefully will do a little tomorrow at the hospital.

NOmeansNO · 31/05/2011 22:41

mrst - i'm here... what date are you talking about? Confused i haven't been on any? I went cycling on my own at wkd. i'm just trying to crack on with studying.papers as again i have 2 due in for last week of dune, but i'm offski in 2 weeks time. feeling the strain. (would be less of a strain if i could avoid the pub and spend less time on outdoor activitesGrin)

that sounds like a good deal at cinema. i trade in my tesco vouchers for them. well.. except recently as i got 2 alton towers tickets instead. i'll be popping down there at some point to use them up. not sure when i was wanting to go before i go off on my holiday. but simply run out of free wkds. i'm going to have to book one expecially for it i think in the old diary.

Evening All, old night owl here.

DTM - how's our baby doing? You must be knackered, I raise my hat or doff my cap to you I really do, and have a big fat hug for you, baby and ds.

Betty - any more from Bigscot?

NMN - yy working my ass off all weekend in the house, trying to get him with the rolling R's and the beautiful Arse out of my head, but it's all ok now I've seen him and my god, it's all there, all of it Blush. He goes on holiday on Saturday but he's staying here Thursday night.... we have Friday off Grin and the weekend he gets back is joining me for a weekend that I'm working away up country, I'm chuffed. :)

I don't know why others haven't come on here from dating thread, it's us three lol. I think the bust up over >>>> put a couple of us dating thread old timers off.

ninah · 31/05/2011 23:49

four actually .... Grin
how's life? don't think much of bigscott betty, if he's iffy and you haven't even met you .. I think you can do better
just bought a trilby online, going for the george melly look lol
dangerous thing, online shopping

Monty27 · 01/06/2011 00:10

Ninah - how jolly nice to see you that's trilby talk for those that don't know lol.

Grin

So good to hear your dulcet tones lady. Must get an update soon.

davidtennantsmistress · 01/06/2011 08:43

nmn - ah sorry thought the frenchman went with you. and yes agreed i've got a paper due 8th, another the 14th and a CMA ibetween with MIL down thursday for 3 nights i'm hopless least the one due the 8th is 3/4 written in rough. and the cma is about 35% done the other - no bloody hope, only half way through the second book, but not too worried as it's what I do day in day out at work, just need to think about how to write it in a way they like.

monty - aww thanks chick, our baby is doing well thats - has paddys everytime I lay on my back/left side - clearly going to take after his father already. :o lol. another scan on friday but had better get off to the hospital for my glouce test - joy! how's things with celtic?

ninah - hello good to see you, how's you getting on? oh yes online shopping - I got paid last friday - and ahem am now watching the pennies until after the rent's done - I blame having paypal and a visa debit.

anyhow better run already running late (no change there then lol) oooh and so far still 2 weeks for DP's return YAY. :)

NOmeansNO · 01/06/2011 20:06

ninah - i always liked trilby's but i dont suit hats at all.

mrst - are you counting the sleep till dp back, and how did glucose test go.

monty - ya filthy mare. Grin and are you up my way? is it when I am away south/abroad though?

betty - where are you? things improving with big scot communication?

I have been in touch with a place that lets you test high spec bikes and takes you up trails and gives you some tips. and i got an email back today. looking good to go. hoping to manage it before i go away.

i was going to give a short update on man front. but i think its too confusing now. :)

basically, i'm not getting any, and i dont want to be getting any(cant anyway because of coil)..... so as sods law states... thats when they seem to be interested. Grin

so i'm off to do some work. in a huff with my lady foof as I cant get any action like our lovely monty is!!

OP posts:
Monty27 · 01/06/2011 21:33

DTM - things are going great with Celtic Grin

Ninah - I love hats and wear one at every opportunity even rain

NMN - you need to get coil sorted Shock. No, I'm not up your way, Manch. I was dreading it but now I'm looking forward to it Wink

Betty - what's the latest?

davidtennantsmistress · 02/06/2011 09:05

nmn - yes 13/14 more sleeps. :o especially after last night with the sodding dg scratching at the door/whining.

agree with monty get the coil thingy srted mrs.

monty - glad all is well with you.

ninah · 02/06/2011 17:34

nmn you are so adventurous! we went to some local hills today - hills, not mountains - hillocks possibly - and I am knackered. And that's just from walking slowly up one with lots of sandwich breaks. too much fresh air!
The trilby arrived and it doesn't really suit me but I think I need to try it on with a jazz suit the right stuff
Have found out my gtp provider (teacher training) are trying to place me with a local school, which is brilliant as if it was too far to go I'd have had to turn it down. They have been fab in trying to find it, and the school looks really nice! don't want to get my hopes up too far, but exciting. I have a idea our present head (who is a right b) worked there and was fairly unpopular, also Grin

NOmeansNO · 02/06/2011 17:59

i need to perservere with the coil. if i go 6 months constant period they will let me go see about sterilisation. Grin 1 month down. 5 more to go.

i'm all set to go try the bike thingy up north on sunday with an instructor who is going to teach me to slide round corners so i dont need to slow down Grin

nianh - thats good news about gtp. when will you find out. any news on the book yet?

mrst - how many sleeps now?

i need to study tonight. but its gorgeous outside. bet its pouring down all wkd Sad

Betty79 · 02/06/2011 18:10

Hi ladies, sorry havent had any time to come back and report. I asked bigscot if I was boring him lol Blush he said no, he didnt want to text pester me lol! Anyway have re-arranaged to meet sat night. So we'll see how things go, am now thinking sat night in my town is maybe not the best idea to meet someone, cos knowing my luck someone i know will see me!

So so tired this week tho :( lots of changes going on at work and its hectic, think it's a sign of things to come too Confused

ninah · 02/06/2011 21:10

slide round corners without slowing down - eeeh, i rest my case! I have a mate who does mountain boarding and wants to start paragliding, for me it wouldn't be a thrill at all, just sheer terror! she loves the adrenalin buzz, she says. I'm quite envious of anyone that physically bold.
The coil thing is pants. You're obviously a sorted woman, you've had your dc, and they are putting you through this with the implication you don't know your own mind! grrrr, stomps over to feminism. With trilby AND boots.
yeah gtp is really positive, they're talking to the head after half term.
the book - good of you to remember! still no news from the agent, but she said it would take a few weeks. I had feedback from my friend who teaches lit, he was positive with a few really helpful suggestions for where it needs changing/improving (even down to the fine detail, ie chill out music was prob not called trance in the 80s - he was really good!). I'm thinking I'll wait for agent's feedback before making changes, but I have them all pencilled in ready to go. I'm 30k words into a new book involving a children's hospital, having a break from writing atm while ideas develop, but excited about it to the point of dragging poor dc to a derelict hospital to research 'atmosphere', ds kept saying, mum you will get told off ...
bet you wish you hadn't asked now!
betty you finally get to put a face to bigscot! I think we are all intrigued by now, good luck with your date! I wouldn't worry about being spotted, it's not on the cards you'll be snogging each other's faces off - or is it?! Grin

NOmeansNO · 04/06/2011 00:50

ninah - paragliding i have done. found it boring. Grin not fast enough.

book sounds really interesting. there's derelict hospitals here we used to .. ahem... wander around in as teenager. they are super spooky. and still thinking of you so keep us updated no matter the news.

betty - sooooo you gonna meet him?

small update on dating.

frenchman - no reply to last text yet Grin
beachbum - coming over for coffee on sunday morning again
mr depp - staying at his in 14 sleeps
big ducks(remember him i met his folks on first date!!!) - asked me to go flicks tomorrow and i haven't decided yet.

I need some opinions

i have a new one for you. we shall call him mr bmx.(i seem to be collecting bike fanatics Grin)

told him weeks ago i didn't want a relationship, or a fella as he was too short Grinand i dont want anyone in kids life.

he is 1 inch shorter than me. so def cant wear heels. never mind that with flat shoes i will be taller.

however, we were still emailing back and forth some cheeky chat, then i told him about biking and his biking past was revealed. and he wants to be biking buddies. so i agreed. we swapped numbes and are supposed to meet next wkd to go out on biking day.

i'm all up for a biking buddy. Smile

we ended up on webcams for msn and WOW.. his pictures do no justice.

So... I think he is hoping for a friends with benefits(i've been very clear that relationship is not on cards).. but i have to admit to flirty texts as i have to admit i am quite tempted.

would it be wrong to cross the friend boundary when i am pretty sure i wont want to date him in full on relationship due to height issues.?

i think he is slightly taken. he is off abroad this wkd on a stag night... AND.. still texting + calling.

be honest ladies. should i knock it on the head?

this is all of course on the basis my coil allows me too Grin

OP posts:
ninah · 04/06/2011 08:47

you've been clear that you don't want a relationship with him the rest is up to you
as for shortness, carla bruni's style's not cramped - why not? Grin

NOmeansNO · 05/06/2011 10:59

ninah - it's just because i cannot wear killer heels. i am not just a little taller with heel sometimes. last night i had on humongous heels.

i'll see how the bike riding goes Grin

hows everyones wkd? i am just getting prepared to go out to do my horse and bike thing.. with a hangover. bad idea Confused

OP posts:
Monty27 · 05/06/2011 21:24

Ninah - sounds very exciting on the book front, its your year this! Go girl.

NMN - My you like to live dangerously lol

Celtic is on holiday now, 3 texts and a phonecall today so far.... the wifi isn't working in his hotel grrrrr but should be tomorrow :)

It is like Autumn here, I went out this afternoon in a summer dress and pumps, by teatime I had added wooly tights, boots and a cardie over said summer dress Confused. Maybe I'm just feeling out of sorts.
