am floating, will pop in tonight, have MIL staying. glad to see you're all ok.

Monty27 · 06/06/2011 19:17

NMN - I think I might have turned into a soft southerner Grin. It was seriously horrid yesterday, following scorching sun the previous days grrrr. There's an improvement on the horizon mind.

DTM - is mil helpful? :)

ninah · 06/06/2011 19:27

Yeah it's gone cold. I spent most of it in the playground shivering and trying to bribe the children to go inside. Think I'll take some match attax cards/go go bones/haribo in tomorrow unless the sun comes back Grin.
You see that's it nmn - something you do for pleasure in my book does not involve a black eye! what's wrong with a cup of tea and a read, a bit of radio 4 or summat
3 texts and a phone call in one day monty! i think he's missing you!
hi dtm! hope all's well with you and baby

Monty27 · 06/06/2011 19:35

Hi Ninah - PMSL @ bribes. I wore boots and tights to work today brrrrrr
Blush I think Celitc might be missing me a bit Grin. Only two texts today but its only 7.30, there's time... (dammed hotel wifi).

NMN - how's the shiner? Are you a bit sore today?

NOmeansNO · 06/06/2011 21:03

monty and celtic up a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g

Grin

shinier is strategically placed. with some purple eyeshadow it was not too noticable. hid in office away from directors all day today Blush they managed not to see it. glasses on, hair down.

i'm not too bad. had some concussion i think. everytime i closed my eyes the room was spinning. but it cleared up by the afternoon.

ninah - 100% worth the injuries!! amazing good fun. imagine going on a roller coaster, and multiple the scared factor by 20. when your doing it the whole time i am going "shit shit shit shit this will hurt when i fall"... then sometimes you do.. and get back up and go "wooo hoo do it again".. and you do!

Hi, anyone remember me Grin.

NMN you brave thing, your bruises look painful, ride carefully next time. Have you met this biking dude yet? If you like him you won't give his height a second thought and he might like being towered over.

Monty, glad it's going well.

I've got zilch to report re men. Really cannot be bothered. Still got a couple of standby friends texting to meet up but have put them off so far. Not meeting anyone new as I'm not socialising much. Still smoke free, so proud of myself for that, just tackling those extra few pounds I put on now ahead of my holiday next month.

Regards to everyone.

ninah · 07/06/2011 18:04

ah but I am the one on the roller with their eyes closing whispering 'this is not really HAppEnING!!!'
hi ac, good to see you Smile
found out today a local school are willing to train me, I just need to meet with the HT - and they look really really nice! woohoo!

Betty79 · 07/06/2011 20:34

Hi ladies,

Well I cancelled on bigscot on sat, long story short I didnt hear from him all friday, ended up texting him sat lunch asking if we were still meeting but didnt hear back from him by 5pm so thought sod it and cancelled babysitter. He then text about 10 mins later saying he had been in the zoo all day with his son and left his phone in the car Blush anyway ended up meeting him sun lunch for a quick drink whilst i was shopping in a nearby shopping centre (kids were with their dad anyway). We got on really well and conversation was so easy :) he has already said he thought I was lovely and wants to meet again. And today he invited me to alton towers next week as he has been given free tickets. Sadly I'm not sure I can get the day off work :( but will try and I couldnt pass a free day out could I Wink

ninah-yay to the school and training, fingers crossed that it works out :)

adams-of course we remember u, nice to hear from you. Where are you off to on your hols?

Monty-sounds like you are missing celtic just as much lol :) when is he back again?

Nmn-ouch, those bruises looked nasty. It sounds like fun Confused but will take you word for it!

dtm-Hope mil is letting you put your feet up, loved your new scan pics on fb :)

ninah · 09/06/2011 19:57

ooh glad your date went well betty! it sounds like you'll be seeing a bit more of bigscot then.
So he should say you're lovely!

NOmeansNO · 10/06/2011 23:10

betty - soooo are you going to alton towers?

i am behaving this wkd. early to bed for me. no alcohol. lots of swimming tomorrow. try and sort out my injured self, and i should be fighting fit to take mr bmx out on a bike track on sunday. and i've met him for a coffee. twice this week. lovely chap. not shorter. just same height Smile. no funny business. just lots of yacking about bikes.

whats everyone up to this wkd?

dtm - hows the bump? how many sleeps till dp is home now?

OP posts:
ninah · 11/06/2011 08:42

remember holiday man? he has my mob number now and keeps texting to get the dc together, basically as he struggles to entertain his own. it is always at short notice though, so I haven't taken him up on it. Isn't it funny, a year ago I'd have been delighted but now he just seems like a mild irritation. might get together this weekend tho as no other plans.

Monty27 · 11/06/2011 12:18

Hi 'guys' well 3 of us reprobates me sponge and mzd from old thread were out on the wine last night and boy do I know it today Confused Had a blast though Grin

Sponge had to text Celtic for me as I was incapable rofl! Grin need I say any more....

ninah · 12/06/2011 16:24

so tell us about the toast, monty Grin

NOmeansNO · 12/06/2011 18:21

whats this about toast?

ninah - do you feel a bit like this fella is only contacting as he is looking for someone to help entertain his kids as he cant be arsed is incapable of doing it himself?

as for me.. all those with fb will have seen my post about my trip to a&e. I have sneaked on here. but i am not even supposed to be near a pc if i hope to be better in time to fly next wkd on holiday.

But.... i ordered new helmet for next time Grin

who is about in london next wkd? i am coming down to stay with johnny depp on the sunday. but if anyone wants to meet on the saturday for lunch/dinner i will come down a day early. only one of you ladies i have met is monty!! i cant do drinkSad strictly off limits till my head is 100%.

OP posts:
Monty27 · 12/06/2011 18:26

Grin @ toast! How did you know about that? Grin

I'm saying nothing Grin

Ninah have you responded about doing stuff with the kids?

NMN I can't believe of all weekends I'm not in London grrrr. Angry

ninah · 12/06/2011 20:34

crikey nmn not a&e .. you need to calm down and listen to gardeners' question time or summat girl
monty - I spotted hate on the other thread nursing a bit of a hangover Grin
No I did not reply to HM text I'm afraid. It's as you say nmn, he needs his dd entertaining, and she's quite hard work - my dd can't stand her as she is always trying to dominate their play - sometimes physically Sad. I do feel sorry for her, I like her, but this weekend the weather's crap, I have period pains, and frankly 2 dc are enough!
Plus when he got my number from my other friend to set up a playdate he wanted me to go the next day, and I couldn't, so I texted back saying how about this weekend - and heard nothing, til friday night asking us to go to the pub that eve?! I think it's mannerless tbh, and OK so I am by not replying, but I don't care!

adamschic · 12/06/2011 23:11

Too right. Ninah, he needs to learn some manner and give you a decent amount of notice. You feel like a backup plan when men do that. I know it's a playdate but it's as bad as a booty call. I had 2 of them in one night last weekend, bloody cheek, still it's nice to know I have options Grin.

NMN, glad you are feeling better, was a bit worried about you.

Betty79 · 13/06/2011 12:08

Hey ladies just discovered an iPhone app for Mumsnet not sure if that is a good thing lol.

I managed to get the day off sorted on Thursday so I'm off to Alton towers Grin with bigscot, who has actually been in contact quite a bit considering we were both away this weekend. We've just hit back from a weekend at the lakes in a caravan. Weather held out till yesterday then it Was very wet Sad. I'm off into town shopping in a mo as I need a decent looking mac if it's gonna be wet on Thursday lol Wink

Will be back later to find out what all thus is about toast lol

davidtennantsmistress · 13/06/2011 12:31

Hello all,

i'm sneaking on whilst at work. shouldn't but ah well. The study is immense atm still only another 2 nights of it then can relax (or at least start my antinatal sessions)

ninah - fully agree with adamschick - manners cost nothing, a little notice wouldn't have gone a miss.

monty - we need the toast story!

NMN - I saw how are you today chick? have the bumps & scrapes healed from teh biking incident? and Envy at jonny, how's the frenchman?

Betty - ooh a big date with big scot! Wink lol.

adamschick - hey what's happening your end anything new?

well the MIL visit was nice in the end liked the company she wasn't over bearing or anything so she can stay again. :o DP is home next tues so we're looking at 8 more sleeps - should ahve been this week but alas apparently some ship somewhere or other needed stuff from his ship blah blah lol. so was delayed by a week, still it's still 7 weeks sooner than we thought it would be. Eek! gonna have to get used to sharing the bed/tv remote :( but on the plus no more ironing or dog walking for me as those are his jobs without fail. :o

Hope everyone's well.

adamschic · 13/06/2011 12:45

Nothing new here.

Betty, whereabouts in the Lakes?

Betty79 · 13/06/2011 15:42

Adams- it was near grange over sands, it was a haven site so kinda in the middle of nowhere!

Dtm-yay to do being home soon, so when are u due?

NOmeansNO · 13/06/2011 19:13

ninah - how presumptious of him to think you will be available at such short notice!!did he even reply when you suggested an alternative.

betty - very Envy of alton towers. i was gonna go this wkd but stictly not allowed with head injury.

monty - still waiting on the toast story.

i had lunch yesterday with bmx(still cant decide about the height), AND kiwi is back in europe. trying to get himself on a flight bakc to uk. I've told him he needs to move asse if he wants to catch me before i go abroadGrin

dtm - frenchman is back in france.

OP posts:
NOmeansNO · 13/06/2011 19:15

meant to say dtm - good MIL are sometimes worth as much as a good DP Grin

OP posts:
davidtennantsmistress · 13/06/2011 19:20

betty - 23rd august coming around quick, only one full month left in work.

nmn - height smight, is he proper short? yeah MIL is alright I guess will keep her a bit longer lol.
