Time for a new thread!!

Mellow, congratulations!

Dusty, ds2 would look so cool with a Beatles haircut

Pc, sorry you've all been ill, glad you're on the mend. Can't believe ds will be 2

Vbus, well done on getting dh into the spare room, dh refuses to move from our bed when he's ill!! Hope he's all better for your holiday, where are you going?

We're also ready for a holiday, am waiting for The Sun cheapie deals to start up again!

DS also going through a ravenous beast phase and willeat everything then say "I hungry mummy". Sadly it it never accomppanied by requests to go to bed early - last night 9pm up at 6.30am. I have decided that he just doesn't need much sleep. Sadly I do.

sfxmum · 22/04/2010 10:51

hello all

Kewc I think dd is one of those who are fine with less sleep, I expect that to change when they hit their teens

vbus children often exhibit different behaviour with different carers usually in phases
hard work this parenting lark

great gig last night thanks for the company tilly

unfortunately did not sleep much as dh felt unwell during the night, he is at work now having been up since 2.30am, I did go back to bed but wasn't particularly restful

am horribly behind with study due to Easter break and my laziness, and it is a terribly dull Unit

UptoapointLordCopper · 22/04/2010 19:00

New Year's Resolution: I am going to stop being nice to people.

sfxmum · 23/04/2010 10:37

what happened copper? are you usually nice to people?

we will go to Kew after school today so if anyone care to join

hope everyone is well

and master pcW has improved

Kewcumber · 23/04/2010 10:46

yes we will probably come too

UptoapointLordCopper · 23/04/2010 11:09

I am usually nice to people. But not any more. (We should have an evil grin emoticon.) I will make use of the full arsenal of sarcasm and rudeness developed in my teenage years. Such a waste not to. Some people deserve a full measure of their own medicine. It's a shame I'm not violent.

Kew this afternoon. We'll get there around 3 and have ice cream and meander. I'm hoping we will not spend too much time at C&C. Are the bluebells out?

UptoapointLordCopper · 23/04/2010 20:29

Hello!

Sorry to have missed people in Kew. We mainly stayed at C&C with school friends and it was surprisingly nice (C&C, I mean. Already know school friends are nice ). Then had a meander and then went off for tea in McD... So tired now.

Kewcumber · 23/04/2010 20:39

we were verylate and didn't tip upuntil about 4.30 but it was such a perfect afternon/evening so we stayed until we were thrown out almost! New outdoor area much more civilised later in teh afternoon .

sfxmum · 23/04/2010 20:53

hi we arrived at nearly 4 and stayed near the Temperate house there was a wedding taking place guests ferried by that Kew Explorer
we waved at them everything very jolly

we might return tomorrow after music class for lunch and and play

lovely lovely day

UptoapointLordCopper · 23/04/2010 21:54

SFX - we were at the palm house at 5 and there were wedding photos being taken, but no friends and relatives so we thought it might be catalogue photos or something.

sfxmum · 23/04/2010 22:17

at one point a buggy went back your way with bride and groom so I guess that was before reception or something, lucky with weather

dustythedolphin · 24/04/2010 17:12

Copper you can be nice to us as we are virtual people, not real people

SFX yesterday was gorgeous wasn't it - today is a complete wash out here - I responded by sleeping until 11.30, then staying in bed for three more hours, watching Simpsons and Dr Doolittle with the kids

PITA boss managed to get a flight back so no doubt will be on the rampage next week, trying to get back any "control" she will no doubt fear she may have lost by being away for two weeks. I plan to keep a low profile in the hope she will be very busy

UptoapointLordCopper · 24/04/2010 19:01

Hello.

Fab weather today. Had friends round and sat and chat while kids play in garden.

DS2 confused between "princess" and "bride". Warped view of world.

Kewcumber · 25/04/2010 11:34

so is that summer over then?

UptoapointLordCopper · 25/04/2010 13:29

Pretty summery here, after the morning rain.

dustythedolphin · 25/04/2010 21:16

Copper my DD spent a wedding following the bride round, convinced she was a "real princess"! Everytime the groom danced with his Bride, DD joined in!

Luckily they both adore kids

Weather cheered up here too after lunch

sfxmum · 26/04/2010 11:22

hello all

hope everyone is well and had a good weekend

KewC O ye,of little faith! it is going to be a lovely Spring&Summer btw your friend did a great marathon time

dusty good luck for this week with returning boss

I had a great day Saturday took dd and friend to music class then spent the rest of the day at Kew they were tired dirty and full of ice cream by the end of it and I managed to read most of the paper, marvellous

gearing up for my last essay prior to exam still lots to read but started well with an easy jog this morning to raise energy levels

Kewcumber · 26/04/2010 16:28

which friend did I have doing the marathon

Kewcumber · 27/04/2010 11:06

I made jam

Strawberry and some indeterminate fruit and ginger. Haven't tried it yet but it looks and smells like proper jam.

UptoapointLordCopper · 27/04/2010 11:13

Kew = domestic goddess.

sfxmum · 27/04/2010 11:16

hi all

just back from short school trip, the one dd positively said parents were not required for

kewC yum jam and how can it be indeterminate fruit when you make it yourself
btw friend - Tutter

really must get on with study but hitching to just go run, looks gorgeous out

sfxmum · 27/04/2010 11:17

tilly how did the exam go?

and vbus how are things

pcW how is DS? trust recovering well

Kewcumber · 27/04/2010 11:26

well the fruit was frozen donated by neighbour who is moving to germany and I didn't have room in freezer so came up with bright idea of jam. strawberries were identifiable but part pureed carton of other stuff wasn't - could have been cherries or cranberries I'm guessing.

I didn;t know tutter was running or even that you knew her - is she back on MN she was a moldy wasn't she?

sfxmum · 27/04/2010 11:38

I know her from the running thread only, moldy and ex neighbour that she is, but she took up running and just did the marathon in super fast time well under 4hrs

Kewcumber · 27/04/2010 11:56

oh good on her - yes she moved out to a home county. I thought I saw someone with a "tutter" in their name and wondered if it were her.

I also noticed Cov has started posting again.
