Back from lovely holiday, beautiful weather and scenery, the kids loved it and we able to relax which was much needed after house move. DS1 picked up a bit of German and just spoke to his teacher and friends in German when I dropped him off at nursery

Dusty - hope you had a good trip, bet it was nice to catch up with everyone

Sfx/Tilly - did we agree a date for trip? Can't quite remember when everyone is free...

Dusty - I thought it was where some roads are shut to car traffic so you can cycle safely. But it turned out to be a bit more organised than that - go here, go there, can't turn right, must turn left, go this way, back that way etc etc. Bossy boots. Prefer cycling on the road, just me and my highway code.

lordcopper thee was one of those rides a couple of weeks ago on our side, dh had a look but decided against it
on the other hand Richmond park is great for bike riding, makes me want get competent at it

vbus I think tilly mentioned the 25th but I can only see pre booking until the 22nd
holiday sounds nice

I went running in Richmond park yesterday, meant to be a long run but after 3.5 miles I stopped at Pembroke lodge for lunch with dd&dh
we walked/ jogged/ played the rest of the way home, it was boiling but very enjoyable

Sfx - Run with lunch/play sound like my cup of tea

School event this afternoon. Can't wait for the end of school. Enough dancing to other people's tune. We are ready to reclaim our freedom and independence.

sfx/tilly/vbus - enjoy your frivolous night out! But we need a proper night out soon. Food and drinks and preferably no naked torsos which I suspect will be aplenty in your movie unless I misunderstand which movie it is.

lordcopper I think so but staying in just in case of repeat performance,thanks for asking, she woke up looking sluggish said her tummy was sore, nibbled breakfast then all out, really hope it is not a nasty bug

am glad I did most of the accounting I needed to do last night, very hard to got through spreadsheets with child demanding attention and cartoons in the background

also thinking of toy story on thursday.

Stuck at home today waiting for new fridge (yes been without fridge in this weather ) So if anyone fancies a coffee I'll be in until at least three...

holiday was nice despite incredibly high windslast few days - DS is in summer camp for 3 days this week and having made me reassure him that I would rush over and rescue him at the first sign of him wanting too he rushed over to me at the end of the day shrieking "I lub it, I lub it!" Am now being petitioned to let him go tomorrow too

NEst week swimming lessons every morning then week after back down the caravan for a week and rest of August to fill in...

KC - where did you go on hols? To caravan? Might look into summer school for DS1 only 1 day a week though. Wasn't going to bother but I saw how much he got out of the kids club when we were on hols, I think he would love it too.
