Time for a new thread!!

Mellow, congratulations!

Dusty, ds2 would look so cool with a Beatles haircut

Pc, sorry you've all been ill, glad you're on the mend. Can't believe ds will be 2

Vbus, well done on getting dh into the spare room, dh refuses to move from our bed when he's ill!! Hope he's all better for your holiday, where are you going?

We're also ready for a holiday, am waiting for The Sun cheapie deals to start up again!

OP posts:
sfxmum · 01/07/2010 12:47

have plenty of passes dusty just say when

tilly I hope brother and SIL can sort things out and she puts her foot down and dictates some terms, but glad he had a change of heart, wishing them all the best

about film Richmond only has pre booking until the 15th will try and find out if will stay longer, so what is the window for all 3 of us?

vbus · 01/07/2010 13:34

Hello all

Sfx/Tilly - shall we go for one evening w/c 26th July then as I'll be off to Wales 2nd Aug for a week?

Sfx - at teacher who can't spell, unforgivable!

Dusty - enjoy picnic sorry we'll miss you but on hols then

Tilly - hope there can be a happy ending for your bro and family

Copper - DS1 had his 1st fishing trip over Easter but was sad to report that there were no tugs on the line!

I am just falling off my chair at quotes for to get our last house cleaned, people have deffo cornered the market there

pcworld · 01/07/2010 17:40

SFX, I am not good with the concept of teachers who are not good at spelling! So depressing!

Dusty - when are you over? We are prob moving on July 16th - is that too late?

vbus - do you have to pay to have the last place cleaned? Will look forward to seeing your new place on Sat night!

Another day, no exchange "tomorrow" apparently

Off now to break up a scuffle, natives are restless (again)

UptoapointLordCopper · 01/07/2010 21:22

sfx/vbus/pc - in my limited experience the lack of spelling ability might be something one has to live with, unfortunately.

pc - the natives, one in particular, was pretty restless earlier here too. But they are asleep now. Phew!

pcworld · 02/07/2010 06:05

Copper - unfortunately the natives - or at least one of 'em - were also restless at 0450am this morning - wah!

Off to make uber-strength jug of coffee

dustythedolphin · 02/07/2010 13:55

Copper I have completely lost the plot as to your identity!!!

I'm so sorry - pm me next time you are on Facebook and tell me what a clot I am!

SFX - thanks - we'd love to meet you in Kew. We can do most days apart from 13 July I think

sfxmum · 02/07/2010 14:10

vbus it is daylight robbery that and moving companies

pcW that sounds really frustrating, the house business I am although thinking about it....

dolphin but you are around from when to when?

not much happening today still feel tired as barely slept last night, not sure why

vbus · 02/07/2010 14:29

The prices are shocking indeed. I asked my regular cleaner how much for final clean she said £60 (discounted). I got quotes from 2 agencies the landlady wants me to use, £200-£250 for the same work I'm going to have to bargain hard

PCw - what an early alarm call, I guess the heat and light aren't helping. Good luck for exchange, hope it goes through without any more hassle

Sfx - just let me know if you can make it on Sat, will be nice to see you

sfxmum · 02/07/2010 14:45

vbus can I get to your place via same old bus? have t check your new addy on AtoZ

vbus · 02/07/2010 14:51

yes same bus and few mins less walking! Or maybe I can pick you up/drop you at bus stop if PCW has already arrived

dustythedolphin · 03/07/2010 17:58

Hi we are around from 10-17 July

pcworld · 03/07/2010 19:00

Dusty - IF things work out on Monday, then we will be moving on July 16th. So possibly might get to see you while you are here, depending on how busy you are? Keep in touch re: your plans/availability!

Last day at work today - felt unbelievably sad - even though it is just a Saturday job! Love my colleagues and will stay in touch with them

vbus · 04/07/2010 20:05

Hi

Hope everyone enjoyed the sunny wkend.
Sfx/PCW - lovely to see you both, thanks for coming over and for a nice evening

Can I ask a favour? Can someone tell me what uniform I need to buy please? I seem to recall there was list ... Meant to be ordering some stuff tom while DS1 spend moring in reception class but am clueless

sfxmum · 04/07/2010 20:44

hello all very nice weekend here too, sunny warm weather does seem to make a difference to everyone's mood

dusty I think the only out day is the 14th, and dd is at school full-time now of course so mostly after 3.30 unless the weekend

vbus nice to see you and pcW too, she recklessly raced her car to catch up with my bus
actually all that talk of moving house seeped into my subconscious and only had dreams involving moving

about school uniform dusty came up with a list which I no longer have but I can tell you what I bought

1 winter dress
2 summer dresses
2 skirts
1 trousers

4-6 polos (logo)
2 school jumpers
2 cardies

many tights/ socks
vest / underwear
school shoes
on rainy days they can take wellies and change there
coat/ waterproof (none specific to school in my case but sturdy)

PE kit

normally I get short sleeves
much easier for them to move around in
and no scuffed cuffs

can't think of anything else
I basically have enough so I don't
worry too much about frequent washes during the week

sfxmum · 04/07/2010 20:45

btw did not get all at the same time and got some stuff from the second hand sale at school
they grow a lot in one year
and shop sizes are weird

UptoapointLordCopper · 04/07/2010 21:47

Hello.

Lazy weekend.

vbus - we got:

2 pairs of trousers
6 polo shirts (no logo)
2 sweat shirts (school logo)
1 pair of school shoes

PE kit:
2 white t-shirts
2 black shorts
1 pair plimsoles

Other stuff like socks/vests/pants all normal home stuff.

sfxmum · 05/07/2010 12:38

hello all, hope everyone is well

very busy week ahead, so glad weather still good

vbus · 05/07/2010 13:37

Thanks both, that is really helpful. Managed to get some stuff at school this morning which was great as I could see the sizes. DS1 seemed to enjoy his session there with new teacher.

Kew swing on Weds

dustythedolphin · 06/07/2010 09:02

Hi PC good to hear you have exchanged - whoo hoo!!!

Kewcumber · 06/07/2010 10:44

dusty I think we are away n hols the week you are over. but will check if perhaps we overlap at a the weekend. Where are you stayng?

SushiMummy · 06/07/2010 14:51

Hi all.

vbus and pcw - how exciting to be in the new house/area! It must be exhausting both physically and mentally but I'm sure it's worth it in the end.

dusty - are you going to do something when you are here? I missed you last time so I'd love to see you when you are in the town.

KC - my next door neighbour's DS goes to the same nursery/preschool your DS goes and they showed me the nativity video in which your DS was the king, he looks sooo cute! My neighbour said your DS is the most gorgeous one there!

Hope everyone is OK.

sfxmum · 06/07/2010 16:02

totally knackered these school trips are murder
hope I don't have to cook dinner

beans on toast is acceptable isn't it?

sfxmum · 06/07/2010 19:31

quick question please

regarding chicken pox
did they appear without normal precursor symptoms of sickness and high fever?

are the initial one itchy from the word go?

dd has some red spots on her neck/ face and a couple on her tummy/back fever not high but just above 38, she is tired but nothing really screaming illness iyswim

I hope it is a normal heat rash

tillyfernackerpants · 06/07/2010 19:38

sfx, neither of the ds's were ill beforehand, maybe a little grumpy but nothing definite. Don't think they were itchy immediately either, just after a day or two.

OP posts:
sfxmum · 06/07/2010 19:43

thanks Tilly

oh bugger, maybe it is still just a heat rash

how are you anyway?
