Time for a new thread!!

Mellow, congratulations!

Dusty, ds2 would look so cool with a Beatles haircut

Pc, sorry you've all been ill, glad you're on the mend. Can't believe ds will be 2

Vbus, well done on getting dh into the spare room, dh refuses to move from our bed when he's ill!! Hope he's all better for your holiday, where are you going?

We're also ready for a holiday, am waiting for The Sun cheapie deals to start up again!

lordcopper I quite like playing tourist once in a while

is anyone still going to Kew after school tomorrow? we might go if dd not too tired

UptoapointLordCopper · 28/05/2010 10:37

sfx - I like sightseeing and I like tourists. Nice to think that people come from so far to see your town. Am going to concentrate on making olive oil flatbread and bread sticks today (using our own thyme and rosemary which impressed our visitors no end) and making timetable so I can fit in both, do the shopping and laundry, pick up kids and let the kids shape the bread sticks, and cook dinners. Must make lists. Ta ta.

UptoapointLordCopper · 28/05/2010 10:43

Obviously I'm not going to even try to work as well. Holiday!!!

UptoapointLordCopper · 28/05/2010 11:30

But have in fact been doing work stuff. Must go to supermarket now.

I wonder where you can get a pink laundry basket, as requested by DS2?

dustythedolphin · 28/05/2010 13:41

Its getting touristy round here too. I like tourists, as long as I am not in a hurry to get somewhere

Wondering how Kew is - anyone heard?

sfxmum · 28/05/2010 13:52

lordcopper the crop and plans sound great
want to bake a polenta almond and lemon cake, am fond of recipe with rosemary but dh would turn up his nose at it
pink laundry basket - Ikea

dusty tourists are never good when you want to get about your business
glad you are enjoying your surroundings, btw dd is doing aboriginal art/music this coming term, the teacher was sceptical when she told them she knew someone from those parts

spent the morning at hairdressers and running errands, still have to get dd's main present but got her a nice birthday outfit

hope everyone is well

UptoapointLordCopper · 28/05/2010 15:45

sfx - ikea doesn't have it in pink. I found this and this. What do you think?

Am doing olive oil and potato and thyme bread, and rosemary and ricotta bread sticks. In principle, anyway.

sfxmum · 28/05/2010 16:03

love the first one lordcopper
zero energy now dd super excited must keep her busy, dh arriving late no doubt last day of work for a week very near end of contract he has the jitters

I need a job but in practical terms best leave it for the end of Summer

sfxmum · 28/05/2010 16:06

with all this talk of social/ welfare reform I have been reading the original Beveridge report (course related but timely) amazing how people can be progressive and at the same time carry the prejudices of the age

UptoapointLordCopper · 28/05/2010 16:24

Currently DS1 and I have voted for the first one and DS2 for the second. Must get parents and DH to vote for first one.

UptoapointLordCopper · 28/05/2010 16:24

You see I have stuck to the important things in life, like which laundry basket to buy.

UptoapointLordCopper · 28/05/2010 22:29

Actually DS2 prefers this.

Sorry about the laundry basket obsession.

UptoapointLordCopper · 28/05/2010 22:31

Link seems to have gone. You'll have to google "wilko pink laundry basket" to find it, if you are interested, which is impossible.

sfxmum · 28/05/2010 22:43

LOL lordcopper

apparently kewC alive as per FB

DH and FIL being men miscommunicated spectacularly we are off to France on Monday and they are coming down for dd's birthday on Monday I knew this would happen they always visit on her birthday I asked dh several times of he has told his parents he said he 'sort of mentioned it to his day'

spoke to FIL this evening he told me oh yes he sort f mentioned by I was not certain of dates

sfxmum · 28/05/2010 22:45

post does not make much sense but you get the gist, far too much wine consumed, at least yummy Portuguese wine from local independent wine shop

Kewcumber · 29/05/2010 03:36

hi - yea still alive, though I like hospitals as they bring you drugs when you wake up in th enight. Still struggling o stay awake long guess anaesthetic isn't out of my system yet. Very sore but understandable

tillyfernackerpants · 29/05/2010 08:48

Kew, glad you're ok

Copper, I liked the first one as well, does my vote count?

Vbus, congratulations!! Bathroom sounds lovely btw

Sfx, hope you enjoy your trip . That sounds like something dh would do as well!

Spots seem to be clearing up here, at least they've scabbed so we can venture into the outside world again! No sign on ds2 yet which is somewhat of a miracle given that he throws himself over ds1 every chance he gets!!

Kewcumber · 29/05/2010 10:41

Glad poxy boy is clearing up.

I have about 18 staples which DS is fascinatedby - he says he wans some best keep an eye on the stapler I think. Thankfully he's still semi-resident at y mums at the moment.

I haven't lumbered down the stairs to the mobile yet sfx - its a major exercise in the absence of drugs!

sfxmum · 29/05/2010 11:10
