Time for a new thread!!

Mellow, congratulations!

Dusty, ds2 would look so cool with a Beatles haircut

Pc, sorry you've all been ill, glad you're on the mend. Can't believe ds will be 2

Vbus, well done on getting dh into the spare room, dh refuses to move from our bed when he's ill!! Hope he's all better for your holiday, where are you going?

We're also ready for a holiday, am waiting for The Sun cheapie deals to start up again!

OP posts:
dustythedolphin · 31/05/2010 17:16

VBus congrats on exchange!!

Kew glad you are OK and still in good humour, despite being stapled!

Terrible about the Gaza Aid boat being attacked isn't it?

A friend of mine at work has a friend who on the boat who is missing

dustythedolphin · 31/05/2010 17:26

Work still mega stressful and convinced boss is a psycho but gorgeous weekends making it all worthwhile. We went up to The Burren yesterday and explored ruins of old castles on the beach

Hope everyone is well

UptoapointLordCopper · 01/06/2010 16:15

Hello!

Busy being touristy! Done waterbus to Camden, Kew gardens with picnic, and now visitors sent to see Phantom of the Opera. And you would not believe the state of our garden. My dad has been at it. I should take a photo. It has never looked that nice...

Kewcumber · 01/06/2010 20:36

I'm pissed off - bored with not being able to:

  • drive
  • eat
  • bend over
  • lift anything
  • have DS to sleep at home
  • paint my toe nails (OK not so pissed off about that)

pissed off with pain. Generally just hacked off.

Please god let me be cleared to drive onFriday or I may go beserk in MacDondlds with a machete.

UptoapointLordCopper · 01/06/2010 21:18

Which MacDonald?

Kewcumber · 01/06/2010 21:20

probably Brentford as its closest and I can;t drive...

UptoapointLordCopper · 01/06/2010 21:33

Note to self - avoid Brentford MacDonald for the foreseeable future.

Poor Kew. When is the projected end-of-confinement?

Kewcumber · 01/06/2010 22:20

hopefully appt on Friday will clear me to drive, take all 18 staples out and let me move onto pureed foods (oh the excitement), physiclaly realtively back to normal probably another 2 weeks, food back to normal probably a couple of months before my stomach can take normal foods again but gradually getting more normal in that time.

SushiMummy · 02/06/2010 09:00

Good morning all.

Kew - glad to hear you are making a good recovery. Do let me know if you need any help.

Copper - my mum did the same when she was here on holiday, total transformation of our garden and it's free!

dusty - hope the work situation improves somehow. The rulal life sounds bliss!

vbus - congratulations! Very exciting.

tilly - kids karate sounds good fun. My DH has blackbelt (3 dan) but refuses to teach DS karate.

Hope everyone is well.

UptoapointLordCopper · 02/06/2010 22:06

Kew - let me know when your stomach can face (?) cakes and I will make you one!

dustythedolphin · 03/06/2010 08:41

Kew I often feel like doing that in MacDonald's anyway - something to do with all the bright colours and plastic food I think

Hope you can drive tomoz though, must be most frustrating!!!

sfxmum · 03/06/2010 17:41

hello people we are we baisneyfied and dd in desperate need of feminist chat after having birthday lunch with the princesses and the princes
Paris was wet but lovely
Disneyland not as bad as I though and actually really fun, you just sort of have to go with it

kewC hope you are feeling better now it does sound like you are back to normal

lordcopper enjoy the touristy time sound lovely

vbus so how was Lady Gaga? I only know one song which was on Glee

tilly how is the poorly child and lesson planning?

dusty hope your colleagues friend is safe, they really are not doing themselves any favours carrying on like that, heavy handed state or what?

generally awful news about so sad for those people in Cumbria, what a loser, I expect he will blame the ex or something

vbus · 03/06/2010 21:07

Greetings from Wales

Sfx - glad you had a good trip, nice pics Gig was wild, I really did not know what she was going to do next, still on a high!

Copper - there are advantages of having parents visit

Tilly - how's DS2?

Back at wkend, will need to start packing up the house

Kewcumber · 03/06/2010 21:29

"what a loser, I expect he will blame the ex or something" - whilst I admire and concur with your sentiments, I suspect the loser will not actually be blaming anyone.. being.. erm.... dead n'all.

sfxmum · 03/06/2010 21:36

what no video or suicide letter?

how unconsidered

Kewcumber · 03/06/2010 21:46

have just sent stroppy email to sveral senior staff at charing cross hospital complaining about lack of appt for tomrrow to get staples removed and drugs sorted. Have told them that I am turingin up at the clinic at 11.30am and will just sit there until someone sees me.

Think I must be feeling better

sfxmum · 04/06/2010 08:51

KewC good luck for today, hope you get to see someone and get cleared for driving

dustythedolphin · 04/06/2010 14:42

SFX Disneyfield = brain melt

Vbus I think he may be Fearkle, who I think got beaten up when he said he wanted to use his legal rights not to be deported

Sunny here and looking forward to bank hol weekend and doing a bit more exploring. Hope to get up to Fanore, which has lots of Dolphins and nice beach apparently

Just had supervision with boss and she was being nice, but not in a scarey way

dustythedolphin · 04/06/2010 14:43

Kew glad to see you back to your normal self

SFX glad you enjoyed Disney/Paris

sfxmum · 04/06/2010 16:58

pcworld · 05/06/2010 07:05

SFX - malteser cake sounds yummy! Loving the gay paree pics, too, looks like fun was had by all. Dusty - great to hear that boss might finally be relaxing a bit and that you are taking advantage of the wonderful country you are living in

KC - how did you get on at the hospital, any progress?

Tilly - how are the spots?

Vbus - good luck this weekend - how exciting! Hopefully you had a nice, relaxing break in Wales to prepare yourself for the onslaught! Although at least you are not going far, and I'm sure you are v organised.

sfxmum · 08/06/2010 12:13

Blimey that took a long time to be fixed

hello people is it all back to normal?

dd back to school today, was helping this morning utter chaos but all seemed happy

hope everyone is well

now back to study just a little over a week until my exam
slight panic setting in

Kewcumber · 08/06/2010 13:11

studying may come first sfx but I'm at home if you want to pop in for coffee on the way to pick up DD. I am tackling DS's table in the living room. Need to pick jobs that don;t need any lifting.

When if SJ's move happening - is it this week?

sfxmum · 08/06/2010 14:05

hi study and a short run took priority sorry, next time, lunch and a bit more reading before picking up my girl

  • how is the recovery going?

dd has been wearing a birthday badge at school today, the teacher also has a special 'cake' so that they get to blow the candle after singing happy birthday

weirdly when asked what present she got she said a Barbie set
