Will check out your Fb link soon

Steppie - swollen eyebrows surprised she's still talking to you

copepr - where are you going dancing? Both DC loved the dance group we went to, no pink in sight (well apart from the girls in the class who did dress up)

sfxmum · 17/03/2010 20:40

btw the Green Man festival sounds good

UptoapointLordCopper · 17/03/2010 21:48

Will think about movie.

vbus - dancing at local church hall. Friend's DD goes and apparently it's all pink and fluffy. Will inspect this Saturday.

People coming for lunch and I want an excuse to bake a focaccia. What can I serve with it?

dustythedolphin · 17/03/2010 22:34

sFX well done on doing run

Steppy (((hugs))) to you, sorry you are feeling down

Sorry about your back too - no wild sex for you on yer anniversary then?

Happy St patrick's Day to all - I had a healthy walk into the village (4 miles return), then took kids to beach, followed by watching local GAA team in the all Ireland finals on big screen in a local hotel, accompanied by Guiness. sadley they lost

kew must try that drink you mention...sounds like my two fave drinks in one!

dustythedolphin · 17/03/2010 22:39

Ooops at typos

UptoapointLordCopper · 18/03/2010 13:28

Too much of that Guiness, dusty .

vbus · 18/03/2010 19:05

Dusty - sounds like lovely day despite losing game. Are you hooked on the Guinness now?!

Steppie - happy belated anniversary

Went to see DS1 in his Spring assembly, his class sang 3 songs, so cute. I held it together but then at the end they showed pics of all the kids in nursery and I started to blub

I am off to the gym tonight I decided to join last wkend so I guess I better make use of my membership!

UptoapointLordCopper · 18/03/2010 19:40

Went swimming this afternoon with both kids. Surprisingly enjoyable! Exhausted now though.

Am I the only one who is completely dry-eyed through offsprings' assemblies and various tortures performances?

sfxmum · 18/03/2010 20:40

hello all

lordcopper is it because you are made of sterner stuff? I think I lost all control of welling up round about the time I got filled with pregnancy hormones, it is actually quite disgraceful

vbus sounds sweet, ours will spare us until the end of Year I think, but have parent evening (10min) next week

busy day when I discovered my newly 'revamped' computer does not have a word processing programme essays due Monday and Thursday

then dd dropped my laptop on the floor it then turned itself off a couple of times
I now have a raging headache and am not, therefore at the school mums drinks evening (am obviously broken up about that one)

anyway will watch telly instead

UptoapointLordCopper · 18/03/2010 20:50

sfx - am watching programme about the natural history museum, while scoffing lovely curry.

stepfordwife · 18/03/2010 21:42

ah, lord copper, was that the thing on bbc2? my next-door neighbour was in it - the chap with three-wheeler and cute twins (girl sucking dummy in buggy and boy walking pointing at stuffed kangaroo).

ds2 had it on v-plus. cue dash next door to get him round to watch it..then only hospitable to offer wine

thanks for kind words, dusty. can't belieeeeve you haven't had guinness and champers. you'll like it

dragged my ageing aching body to east sussex today to visit my friend who had gorgeous baby boy yesterday. sigh.

going to brocketts farm with dd's class tomorrow. they've promised to be gentle with me.

right, bath and bed for me. how rock n roll.........
toodlepip

stepfordwife · 18/03/2010 21:46

kew, aforementioned friend is who you think! had baby yesterday.

stepfordwife · 18/03/2010 21:49

sfx, sorry you had the blues. sometimes just gets you like that, doesn't it?
up for a night out, but not on for cinema as have annoying habit of falling asleep unless daytime/early show...so perhaps best i spare you all!

UptoapointLordCopper · 19/03/2010 09:27

Morning!

Steppie - didn't see man with twins - was watching and eating curry and MNing at the same time. Something's got to give, I think.

Must work, but really want to shop for trousers, rucksack, and holiday for summer...

sfxmum · 19/03/2010 09:51

hello all

my laptop seems to be buggered just in time for my deadlines just using dh's so best stick to work stuff

steppie a newborn, have been avoiding those lately just too scrumptious

lordcopper some shopping does you good

am slightly put out that we will stay in London for Easter, the weather better be good

btw my contact email has changed I no longer have access to old account, will email all soon

UptoapointLordCopper · 19/03/2010 10:02

sfx - you eat 'em? Did overhear once at dentist:

Receptionist 1: Aren't those boys gorgeous?

Receptionist 2: Yeah, but couldn't eat a whole one though.

sfxmum · 19/03/2010 10:47

what kind of reception was that for?

sfxmum · 19/03/2010 10:48

I am doing something really boring, searching ejournals for articles relating to course as part of an exercise for the assignment
boring and occasionally allarming

vbus · 19/03/2010 13:55

Copper - LOL, people who want to eat babies make me laugh!

Sfx - good luck with course, hope you manage your deadline

DS2 keeps turning the grill on when I'm not looking then next thing I can smell burning I'd forgotten that they can be such lovable nutcases at this age

pcworld · 19/03/2010 14:37

SFX & Steppie (and everyone else, of course!) - hope you are feeling ok. Good day here plus thank goodness it is Friday! Have some potentially big news - we may be moving away from the area v soon. Am feeling a mixture of extreme stress and excitement, tis a heady mix! It is going to be a complete change and has many plus sides but on the other hand it will be a huge challenge for me moving to a new area with two small children!

vbus · 19/03/2010 14:47

PCW - Wow, that is major news! you're moving but also v.exciting for you all When and where will you be going? Has Dusty recruited you over the waters?! Do tell

pcworld · 19/03/2010 14:53

vbus, it is something that we have been thinking about and discussing for a loooong time. It has all been v carefully thought through but that does not stop me from feeling terrified! We are going to W Sussex for proximity to London/coast plus schooling. I have really hated being under the flight path I'm keeping my Kew Membership, though - we'll be near Wakehurst - and am hoping that I can still meet up with my friends at Kew during half terms!

sfxmum · 19/03/2010 18:16

pcW sounds good though hope it all goes well, moving is always kind of mad anyway, proximity to Gardens and sea always a plus in my book

vbus it is going ok but not being able to use my laptop is annoying, not used to dh's setting etc.
and yes so glad it is Friday, tomorrow is our wedding anniversary a celebration a trois I think

have 3 children here today they seem to be entertaining themselves quite well I hope no major destruction is going one, at least no one crying so far
